pain medication to replace vicodin
What the heck did they take vicodin off the market for? I know acetaminophen.... bad for your liver?.. the main ingreediant in over the counter tylenol. Ten years ago I was in a accident and broke my back and femur now I'm paralyzed and have had six surgery's and need to know what they are going to replace vicodin with (that works)!! I am not a drug addict, if I wanted to get high I'd smoke marijuana or do street drugs, but I don't want that. What I want is the pain relief like I got from the 660 vicodin that was working fine before they took it away. Now there are days that I lay in bed for 14 hours. I only took half a pill in the morning and the other half at dinner. And I have never had any of these side effects they say are caused by vicodin. Now I got norco10/325 an... ...

Doctors Who Will Prescribe Pain Medication in Boston
I have been suffering from a failed patella replacement for 12 years. Tramadol sometimes helps, but the risks for stroke are too high. I was being treated by a doctor in RI but he lost his license. Is there anyone in Boston area who can prescribe vicodin 10/325 legally? ## Well, any doctor can prescribe it legally. The main issues are just why its being prescribed, how much, for how long and etc. Learn more Vicodin details here. With the new regulations and issues on the east coast regarding doctors prescribing improperly and over prescribing, your best bet is going to be with a pain management specialist. Do you have a general practitioner that you see regularly who may be able to refer you somewhere? ## Risk for stroke? That's not an elevated risk with tramadol; no more than any o... ...

Vicodone Replacement
Does anyone know what a good replacement for vicodone since they took it off the market? My dr. put me on norco 7.5-325. These are a joke. I have to take 2-3 tabs when I was taking 1 tab.I am really screwed since I am allergic to codene, morphene, and most things that get me out of pain. I am on fentenal patch, but this replacement doesn;t make any sence. If I have to take 3 times the dosage I'm taking 3 times the acetaminophen. I was on percocet but now my insurance charges 3x the amount it used to cost, so thats not affordable. Any suggestions? Thanks ## Vicodin is still on the market, it an Norco actually contain the same active ingredients, Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen. Learn more Vicodin details here. All of these combination medications are being changed, however, to contain ... ...

What looks like Vicodin?
Does anyone know of a pill or vitamin that closely resembles Vicodin regular strength? I did a bad thing, took my roomates last few that have been in his medicine cabinet forever, and would like to put something harmless back that won't raise any eyebrows... I know this is dishonest, but please help! Thanks. ## hyrebhyr hyhy 3 kjumju uren ## It is hard to say, since we have no idea what the pill you are speaking of looks like and they can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. That said, stealing and switching out someone's medications is NOT a good idea and quite illegal. Vicodin contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, this is a narcotic pain reliever and if you replace it with something innocuous, they will know the difference as soon as they take one. ... ...

Replacement For Methadone
I am currently on 10 mg of methadone 16 times a day. I have to have something for my backpain but cannot deal with the side effects of methadone anymore. What would be a replacement drug that would be as effective? ## Hi Sara, Sorry to hear that your pain medication isn't working as well as you'd like it to. Some of these side effects can be pretty horrible, so I don't blame anyone for trying to find an alternative. A few suggestions I can give you for other prescription pain medications include: Demerol, Morphine, Vicodin (extended release), Percocet, Dilaudid, Opana, Oxycodone, and Fentanyl. Your doctor would have a better clue as to which one of these would best replace the drug you're currently on, but honestly, there's no way of telling ahead of time how you... ...

discontinued of watson 750 vicodine
ARE THE WATSON 750 VICODINE GOING TO BE DISCONTINUED? WHY? IS NORCOS GOING TO REPLACE THEM? I HAVE A CONCERN BECAUSE I LIKE THE VICODINES BECAUSE THEY TAKE AWAY THE PAIN I HAVE AND GIVE ME ENERGY. I SUFFER FROM BACK AND DEPRESSION DUE TO A FALL AT WORK? ## They are only changing the amount of Acetaminophen. But, they are doing that to all medications that contain Acetaminophen. The amount of Hydrocodone won't change. ...

Why doesn't this work for my pain?-hydrocodone acetaminophen 5 325
I had a total shoulder replacement and my doctor gave me Percocet to go home with. They immediately took the pain away for about 4-5 hours. Now she has given me Vicodin 5/325 and they are not working, not even 2 at a time. Why don't they work for me but the Percocet does? How do I tell my doctor they are not working without her thinking I just want Percocet? ## just tell your doctor.i'm having the same problem with my new doctor.and start looking for another doctor without telling anyone just in case.your in my prayers ## Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, while this contains a different narcotic, Hydrocodone. Is There An Over The Counter med compareable toVicoden
I am currently taking vicoden for knee replacement surgery...is there any OTC pain med to take that would be similar? Thank you! ## Not in the U.S. Vicodin contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. The Hydrocodone is a narcotic analgesic and there are none available over the counter in the U.S. The strongest medications for pain that are available over the counter in the U.S. are the basic nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, such as Ibuprofen and Naproxen. Have you tried discussing it with your doctor? ...

v 15 blue pill
i was prescribed this medication after i had a total knee replacement. if it is a blue oval with v15 on one side it definately is vicodin es 10ml. my doctor who rarely prescribes pain medication told me that it is very addictive. i was very pleased with the result and feel like it is better than the old lortab 10s. to WF if you found this in your sons room he probably bought it at school or from a friend who stole their parents medication. ## To post a response to someone else's message, you should place your reply right under it and use the submit reply button, otherwise they may not see it. Nucynta 70 mg
My doctor put me on this drug as a replacement for oxycodone and it does nothing for my chronic rsd are there other pain meds that will give me the relief like oxycodone did. ## Because everyone reacts differently to prescription drugs (especially narcotic pain meds), there's really no way to tell ahead of time how any medication will effect you. Some patients may get great pain relief from Nucynta, while others may have to opt for oxycodone, hydrocodone (vicodin), opana, or dilaudid, for the same relief. Have you already asked your doctor about switching medications to something that may be more effective? ## Yes,I will see my regular pain management dr. In a week and ask to go on something else, they told me oxycodone was taken off the market, the pharmiscy said that its still ava... ...

Norco Urine Smell
Went from Vicodins 750's to Norco after knee replacement surgery. My Norco is the generic and my urine smells terrible. Anyone notice this side affect? ## It's a fairly common occurrence, due to the fact that you're adding a chemical to your body, plus the tablets can also contain some fillers and your body uses your urine and feces to process them out. Learn more Norco details here. However, you should keep an eye on it and if it gets really severe, or if you start to see signs of pus in your urine or experience pain or burning, then it may be a UTI and you should seek medical assistance. Pills That Look Like Norco 500
need to replace some pills to my doctor and then he will give me vicidon ## Prescription tablets in the U.S. have unique imprints to enable their identification, you will not be able to fool your doctor in such a manner. Norco and Vicodin both contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so why do you need Vicodin, rather than the Norco? ## It's not legal to buy on the street, so maybe you'll have to wait until the the original script is supposed to be gone, the way is was prescribed...Good luck, I 've switched back and forth between 10/325, and 10/500, when I am using the hydrocodone only for pain I prefer the 10/500, now however I'm using the Norco 1'0/325 for breakthrough pain.. ...

Gen Eq: FIORICET, what is this medication and how does it make you feel and what is it for. will it cause anexity? ## I was prescribed that medicine in place of methodone thats all i can say ## This is not a narcotic, so I am not sure how it is supposed to replace Methadone. This is Acetaminophen, with the barbituate Butalbital and Caffeine, it is usually given to help with migraine headaches. Common side effects may include; nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and sedation. Read more: Are there any questions? ## The original question: Does this cause anxiety among some users? ## I have been given this medication for Migraines and I am already taking Vicodin for pain, and it hasn't been helping so the E.R. Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Do you have any other questions? ## THIS IS NOT HYDROCODONE! It is PCP. It is a total scam. I received these too, and I ended up in the ER. The lab results came back that I had taken PCP!! The company will NOT replace or refund. Hydrocodone 10500 Appearance
Large, oblong, line in center, blue, says Watson 340 on it ## I think the marking on this tablet was actually WATSON 540, especially with it being blue and yes, it contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. Learn more Vicodin details here. This is a narcotic pain reliever, so it may be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and dry mouth. And there are a couple of important pieces of information that I need to add in regards to these tablets… The first is that they are now changing the color of these, due to the fact that there were people who were allergic to or sensitive to the dye in them. Thus, they are now being replaced by tablets that have the same marking and same ingredients, but which are white. The s... ...
