Fentanyl Pain Patch
Can I just stop taking fentanyl patch 25? ## No you risk suffering from opiate withdrawal if you have been on the medication for any length of time say for more than a few months. Opiate withdrawal is extremely painful and very unnecessary especially if you have a legitimate prescription for it. ## That is correct, while it may seem small, since the dosage is only 25mcgs, Fentanyl is actually a very potent narcotic. It is actually over 80 times stronger than Morphine. Therefore, if you have been taking it for awhile and want to stop using it, you should seek medical assistance for the best way to taper off, while minimizing the withdrawal and rebound effects. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Of of 25 is minuscule I'm on 150!,... ## Ahhh...ok,here's my situation...I ... ...

Fentanyl
I have been weaning myself off Methadone! I was taking 10mgs 3 times a day. I am now down to less than one tablet a day and will continue until I can say goodby Methadone and I never want to see you again. Now to my real problem. Last week my doctor gave me the Fentanyl 25 MCG/HR Patch MYL. I need something to help with the pain I still have although the Lyrica and Cymbalta have really helped. I did not when she gave the Fentanyl Patch to me that I would have to taper off and that it carried baggage of bad side affects. I have read the messages here and have decided not to use the Fentanyl. Thanks to everyone! ## Sorry, I forgot to tell you that I have Fibromyalgia and IT IS REAL!!!!!!!!! ## That is true, the Fentanyl is a very potent narcotic, over 80 times stronger than Morphine and i... ...

fentanyl
it is a patch that is called transdermal system and it says 25 mcg/hr and also says each transdermal system contains: 2.55 mg fentanyl Iam a first time user on this meaication what would it do to me????? ## Well, this can have some adverse effects. I am not sure if you have previously used narcotics, I know this should not be used by anyone who has not already built up a narcotic tolerance as it is a very, very strong med. 80 times stronger than Morphine as a matter of fact. My doctor tried taking from Darvocet to the patch 25s and I was so sick, for days, that I couldn't even hold down water, even when she gave me the strongest antinausea that she could. Some people love these, they can work wonders for pain, but they don't agree with some people, so you will basically have to ... ...

How is your fiancé doing? The Fentanyl is actually the strongest narcotic available, but she may need a stronger dose of it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I also have other problems with my back, but have horrible pain and need something stronger can anyone help me with an easy way to get off this medicine and fine a stronger medicine that will give me some relief. Thanks ## The only thing I can think of that may work better and be a little stronger would be Fentanyl, which is available in a lollipop form and as a patch that you can change every 48 to 72 hours. Learn more Fentanyl details here. It is over 80 times stronger than Morphine and most people go experience effective pain relief with it. Pain Medication Starting With A
Hello I'm trying to find out the new pain medicine that kids are taking today that replaces the pain pill oxycontin. I saw a show on TV about this but I can't remember what It's called? I think it starts with the letterA? It's the new drug craze today. ## The only one I can think of offhand that starts with an A would be Actiq, it contains the narcotic Fentanyl, which is over 80 times stronger than Morphine and is available as a lollipop, it's a formulation used for slow release of the medication. Does this sound familiar? ...

if you take a 25 mg Fentanyl Patch and it is not that strong of a prescription for you, can you take additonal painkillers like vicodin as needed? Like taking a few vicodin every few hours during the day while on the patch. ## Please DON'T first stop the Fentanyl It's a nightmare!!!! You are on a path you don't want to travel. Find another way, PLEASE for your own sake!!! ## Fentanyl is 80times stronger than Morphine, therefore, I guarantee it is STRONG for you! Mixing it with other narcotics would be extremely dangerous, it is highly addictive and you run the risk of overdose, with possible fatal consequences. Fentanyl Pain Patch Question
I am a chronic pain patient and I have slowly got off hydrocodone 10mg-325 acetaminophen and acetaminophen#4 due to stomach issues. I also take other meds cyclobenzaprine diazepam, nortriptyline . I was prescribed the 25mg patch. after reading info with meds it states DO NOT TAKE IF NOT ALREADY USING OPIOID PAIN MED. I am scared to death to try this med. Because I have not used pain meds continually in the last 6 months. Is this safe to start? ## Fentanyl is a very strong opiate narcotic, it is over 80 times stronger than Morphine. Learn more Fentanyl details here. The main issue I see with it, apart from it being so strong, is that it really leaves you nowhere else to go in the future. Generally, it should be the last resort medication, after other options have been exhausted, since th... ...

How are you? You only need 7.5mgs of Morphine to equal each patch of Fentanyl, though you will take it more often, since it doesn't last 3 days, like the patch does. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else... ...

You can view the chart here to get an idea of what options are out there: vaughns-1-pagers.com/medicine/painkiller-comparison.htm I hope this helps to answer your question! ## Well i am already taking the Fentanyl Patch so i would like to avoid morphine...So what else would work? ...

is percocet stronger than hydrocodone
I take Lortab 10's, Fentanyl 100mg patch every 3 days and Ibuprofen. I stay in constant pain and wanted to know what I could switch to that would be stronger and help with my constant pain. I've been on all 3 medicines and alot of other medicine (not pain medicine) for over 3yrs. ## Yes, it only takes 6.67mgs of Oxycodone to equal each 10mgs of Hydrocodone, so the Percocet would be stronger. Learn more Percocet details here. Oxycodone is also available by itself, without the Acetaminophen, in a regular release formulation, so you also may want to ask your doctor about that. It is another narcotic opiate, so it also has the potential to be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. pain medication without acetaminophen or ibuprofen
I've had severe chronic pain for years. Pain dr. Gave me 7.5/325 hydrocodone. I have hep c and chronic anemia. I don't want either tylenol or Ib.. what can I ask for that has none of those and is stronger? Would a fentanyl patch work? ## Hello, Andrea! How are you feeling? Fentanyl is the strongest narcotic available, so it may not be wise to jump straight to it, because that's not going to leave you anywhere to go in the future, once you build up a tolerance. Learn more Fentanyl details here. There are several others that are stronger and don't contain NSAIDs. Fentanyl and Percocet !!
Good Morning, I need help with this situation. I also have deterioation of my spine.I was sent to a Pain specialist. I was put on the generic Percocet 10/325 for 2 years . I was then changed to Fentanyl 50 mg. and taken off of the Percocet completely. I started feeling dizzy, my blood pressure went up, I started shaking, I could continue to go on. I noticed when I take my zanax I felt better, but it keeps coming back. I believe I'm going through withdrawal from stopping the Percocet. I am really scared, and need to know if this is possible? and what will I need to do? I need help because I am really scared and do want this to stop. ## Hello, Marsha! How are you? dilaudid and fentanyl
Will a 75 mcg/hr fentanyl patch help with dilaudid withdrawal? ## Tramadol 50 mg x 2 tablets is the only thing that works for me when I can't find a pharmacy to fill my Dilaudid. I have heard it helps with Oxy and other pain reliever withdrawals. The stupid Commonwealth of Kentucky has outlawed Tramadol and Lyrica is highly regulated because it helps with withdrawals. Yes, they are living in the stone age. So, Tramadol must work for others as well. Your doctor should prescribe it, it is available at any pharmacy, doesn't help that much with the pain, but you won't get sick. ## Fentanyl is much stronger, so that would actually be the wrong direction to go. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, diz... ...
