Please, please help me find a physician willing to help. Pain Management is not prescribing effective medication here. ## There is no way to guarantee that any given doctor will prescribe any specific medication. If you go in asking for a specific medication, in a specific dosage, they may assume that you are drug seeking, and that could make them reticent to prescribe anything. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. And if you need such medications for long-term treatment of chronic pain, you'll most likely have to see a pain management specialist due to the new restrictions that have been put in place. There have been many concerns raised about improper prescribing and over prescribing, so there are new regulations put in place regarding what general practitioners and surgeon can prescribe, how much and for how long they can prescribe it. You can learn more Oxycodone details here. Have you tried pain management yet? Does anyone know of a doctor they can recommend in the area?

I suffer from severe pain in my back and arms and hands. I care for my husband who is dependent upon me to do everything for him. Going through a carousel ride from hell. I've gone to quacks who just want to give injections. ## There is no way of knowing if a Pain Management Dr will prescribe you pain meds without going to them. You may want to read some of the reviews of the pain drs at Healthgrade and Vitals, But, remember these reviews aren't verified. You will need a copy of your medical records from your previous drs. If you're taking high doses of pain meds, it is doubtful that you will be able to find a dr that will treat your pain. As terrible as this sounds, if your husband is unable to do anything for himself, he really need to be in a nursing home or you need to h...

I'm sorry that you're in pain. Unfortunately, there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Technically, any doctor can prescribe it for pain, however, due to the regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist if you require it on a long-term ongoing basis. Never had issues just pain chronic with Psoriatic Arthritis . cancer and back nerve damage . Please help/// ## Hello, Billy! How are you doing? You're really not going to find a doctor to just prescribe them and not worry about it. That's just not possible, anymore. They are held responsible for their prescribing practices, now. The best thing to do would be to set up an appointment with a PCP in your new area and then have them refer you to someone for pain management. Before you judge me just know I have tried everything non narcotic for pain and the only way I can even get out of bed is with pain killers. I am relocating to San Diego and I need a doctor who is not afraid to prescribe oxycodone. Please help! ## Hello, Jay! How are you? There are no guarantees that a new doctor will prescribe it for you. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, a general practitioner will not be able to prescribe it for you, so you'll need to see a pain management specialist. I had a dr who was prescribing me 150 30mg roxycodone every month. He decided the past month that he no longer is writing them and is only writing subs. I cannot find a dr who will write me my script. Can anyone suggest anyone? ## Who was the doctor ## I'm sorry about the problem that you've run into. However, you're not going find a doctor to just write you your prescription, as a matter of fact, if you're contacting doctors to ask them about prescribing such a medication, they're all going to be inclined to tell you no and not even let you get in the door, because they consider that to be drug seeking behavior. Need a doctor that takes Georgia Medicaid in N.W. Georgia who's not afraid to prescribe oxycodone for a disabled older man with 3 herniated disks in my back. ## Hello, Johnny! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. If you require such a medication on a long-term, ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, due to the new regulations that were enacted last year. Those regulations also mean that all doctors may be very cautious about what they prescribe and why they prescribe it, or they risk losing their license to practice medicine, as well as possible fines and jail time. Need Medicade provider who pet scribes roxycodone in Huntsville Al ## I'm not sure if you are being serious or sarcastic with your question. As far as pet scribing anything, veterinarians do not accept Medicaid, if you are trying to get Roxycodone in your pet's name for you or for your pet and I don't know of any vet that would prescribe that anyway for a pet. If you need a Pain Management Doctor that accepts Medicaid and prescribes Roxycodone or Oxycodone you can try Alabama Pain Center but you have to go through a lot to get in there and through their classes and such and you won't get them right off. They will give you something else first. Good Luck. ## Good Luck!!! I have been searching for any pain management doctor who will even accept medicaid in the whole State ...

having a hard time finding pain management doctors near San Fernando Valley. Please offer some suggestions for a "no-problem" Medicare accepting Dr. Thank you ## I'm sorry, but you're really not going to find a 'no problem' doctor, anymore. There are strict guidelines they must follow regarding the prescribing of any controlled substances, if they prescribe improperly, they risk losing their license to practice medicine. Do you currently have a general practitioner that you see regularly? If so, they might be the best person to consult to get a referral to a doctor that can help you. Does anyone else know of any good pain management doctors in that area?

Surely there is a physician that understands Pain "Management" in the area. It is not just providing scripts, U/A's and treating patients like they are criminals. I have been a chronic pain patient off and on for over 20 years. I have voluntarily quit using opiates on several occasions. I remained opiate free each time until the pain really started interfering with the quality of life. I made it over 2 years on 1 occasion. I would like to find a physician that practices true pain management. I am 66 and have little, if any, respect for the fresh-faced PA's who sit behind their desks and threaten to kick you out because a pill count is 2 or 3 short. Sorry, I was in excruciating pain. It's not like I am overdosing especially since their policy is 10mg is all they write...
