I'm very upset about jerk doctors who are afraid to prescribe narcotics like Percocet 10mg. Other meds do not work yet some will offer morphine patches. Who is the best pain management doctor in the Beaumont area? We just moved from Austin, and after calling around, can't find a good one. For starters, they all tell you right off the bat they don't prescribe Oxycodone. What? Why reject a drug before you even know a patient's history or what kind of results they've had with it. Why does every pain doc in Beaumont have this asinine attitude, and what alternatives do they offer? (I am already on Fentanyl patches, with a spinal stimulator, and that does not control the pain). I've lost all income and I now receive medicade. I live in Fort Worth, TX, and I need to find a pain management doc. The one I've been going to for 4 yrs doesn't take medicade. I've been paying cash, but it's been a struggle every month finding the money. I need to relieve my pain in order to survive! Anyway, does anyone know of a pain management accepting medicade and will be able to perscribe opioids? The one I saw at JPS wanted no opioids given and only physical therapy for my nerve pain. *sighs* Help! Pain docs in ft worth taking medicade! Wanted to introduce a wonderful clinic I had heard of for years and finally went to before Christmas. I have been treated like I am a "REAL" patient. New regulations were put into effect this year and any doctor that doesn't abide by them risks losing his license to practice medicine. Your best bet would be to establish a relationship in your new location, with a PCP, then have them refer you to a pain management specialist. Do you have a PCP, yet? ## Matt, did you ever find one? I have Lupus, joint pain, chronic back pain I've just moved to the area and have been being treated prior by a pain management specialist who has me on 15 MG Oxycontin time release and 7.5 MG Percot for break through pain. I have peripheral neuropathy and anxiety disorder from HIV medication and the day to day running of my life as is normally possible in south Texas, I can't have injections because they have proven to be fatal for HIV patients and can't wear patches after the lymphoma because my body has built up an allergic reaction to ALL adhesive tape and patches,, I NEED DESPERATELY a doctor who is CLOSE to me that will prescribe the right medications,ASAP

I need to find a kind pain management doc in San Antonio, TX that will take medicaid Amerigroup. I'm currently seeing Dr. Kanishka Monis. He is a nice young man BUT, his staff and their way of handling patients is terrible. I was changed from Butrans 10 patches with 3 8mg suboxone a day to 20 mgs of methadone, after a week of hell I called to see if I could up the dose a little. No. I had to see him.
