I was dropped from consultants in pain management due to my blood pressure being high twice within 10 days. I now am on new medication, 40 mg Lisinopril and my blood pressure is back to normal. This means, that I am in search of a new specialist. I am 63 years of age and still working after numerous surgeries from injuries that are all documented. I am leaving for Baltimore Maryland in a week but will need to have a prescription with me in order to perform my duties. Can anyone suggest a provider for me? Thank you in advance. ## That is very odd, that's not a normal reason for them to dismiss someone, usually they give you a chance to see your primary care physician, or a cardiologist to get it under control. How high was it? Can you post back with some of the readings? The FDA list...

I am in between primary Doctors. I got out of a nursing facility three weeks ago with only two to three days of pain meds. I can't see a Doctor until three weeks from now. I have stasis ulcers on my feet and Degenerative Arthritis which has progressed to bone on bone in both hips. Was on 4 mg Dilaudid,10mg Valium,60mgmorphine. First two were to help me sleep thru the night. Help Until I see the doctor! ## Hello, Tony! How are you doing? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such medications on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A PCP can no longer prescribe them for you. Have you gotten in to see a doctor, yet? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potentia...

I am wondering if I can take lidoderm 5% (lidocaine) while on 130mg of methadone? ## What can I use for charot marie tooth disease if my pain is a 10? ## @Adrianne, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Lidocaine and Methadone. That said, although it may appear to be safe to use together, I would still encourage you to contact your prescribing doctor first or a pharmacist who can assure you of this information. @Tom, Have you discussed any potential treatment options with a pain management doctor or specialist? If not, this may be your best starting point as they can make the most appropriate recommendations based on your medical history and so forth... I hope you both are doing well!
