No one wants to write for what I been on and I don't know what to do. Does anyone know of a dr that can help me please!! ## Hello, Becca! How are you? Part of the problem may be due to your asking them to write for certain medications. If you're asking that, before you go in for an appointment and establish a relationship with the doctor, they're going to view that as being drug seeking behavior. Is there a chance that the doctor that was prescribing could refer you to someone? That might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone suggest a g...

They will only be allowed to prescribe them for a short period of time, such as when someone has just had surgery or been in an accident, except for in cases of certain rare exceptions. The Drug Enforcement Agency is making it very hard on doctors to prescribe pain medicine such as oxycodone, oxycontin, percocet and even hydrocodone. They have set new rules that go into effect May of 2016, that's this month. Unless you have a serious condition and have been on these meds for the treatment of your pain it will no longer be easy peasy getting the appropriate pain relief you need from a general practitioner... If you have sciatica with burning down the legs into the feet I suggest seeing a neurologist to treat your pain... Avoid a pain management clinic for now (until the dust settles from the new rules) if that's you I described.. A neurologist will order a emg, mri, and even a CT Scan. These will show your issues and justify a slow moderate increase in your pref...

severe back pain and fractured wrist ## I'm sorry, but we have no way of knowing what any doctor will, or will not prescribe. You also may run into a problem if you are trying to get them to prescribe a specific medication. Most doctors will be reluctant to do so, because when someone asks for a specific medication, especially a controlled substance, they consider it to be drug seeking behavior. Have you considered using pain management?

Can someone please guide me in the right direction for a private methadone doctor in NJ? I was going to a clinic and owe them way too much money from nonpayment. My max dose was 40 mgs and I've been dropped to 10 mgs in 4 days. I need a doctor asap. Thanks! ## Dear glor, if you r on methadone due 2 addiction, it's against the law 4 doctors 2 give out methadone. If it's 4 pain management, some Doctors will give it out. If someone is taking it for pain management, they will need their medical records from the previous dr.
