Pain Management Doctors Richmond Va

I have Sciatica, Spondeliosis, Degenerative Disc Disease and Fibromyalgia in both my hips & legs, I have had 3 sets of nerve blocker injections that did not help. I had a herniated disc, in my lower back, (scar tissue has entrapped nerve in it), intractable back pain, I have been falling a lot at home or if I am out somewhere. I get very confused and short term memory is really getting bad which is a symptom of Fibromyalgia, I don't want to go anywhere, I rarely see my friends. I feel like my feet and legs are running and my body is not catching up. I am looking for a compassionate doctor in the Richmond VA area who will prescribe pain medication. ## HI, BlueBell! How are you? The current situation isn't that doctors aren't compassionate, it's that there are strict regulations in place regarding what they can and cannot prescribe, how much they can prescribe, how long they can prescribe it and why they can prescribe it. It's really tied their hands in many cases. If you have a condition that requires strong pain medications for long-term treatment of chronic pain, then your best bet is most likely going to be to see a pain management specialist. It's hard to find those dr around Richmond area,, there are some but you need to get a primary doctor. And ask to be referred to pm.. I know places in Williamsburg and Newport News and around Norfolk.. I am not posting any names.. If your a vet. ,start with va hospitals ## Helena, I just moved to Williamsburg, Virginia. I have Anthem HealthKeepers. Would you mind telling me your recommendation for the Newport News or Williamsburg doctors? My house was broken into clos to two years ago and I suffer from numerous injuries. I've had to move due to the family of my attacker harassing me and even stalking me. Plz, does anyone know any drs that prescribe Methadone for pain in Tappahannock or Richmond Va. area? ## Had spinal stenosis surgery, triple lactomactomy and when I came out was way worse. My surgeon said to go to their pain management and get an idea of what they came up with on file for any doctor to see or said to call them and they would help come up with a plan. They had me on methadone and oxycodone. My surgery was in 2009. I tried not to get on methadone. I was nervous. Turned out it worked very well but I'm now living in a state where everyone has a problem abusing or not needing and doctors writing them regardless. This had led to where you now can't get any help. Hello. I'm 29, a mother of two with Crohn's disease, and a former soldier. Last thing we tried is a Morphine pump at 0.4998 a day and not even that is helping the pain. I don't know why my body just not reacting and life is been especially miserable. I found a pain management doctor in the other side of Virginia and even when I explain the morphine pump is not helping they blew me off. At this point my pcm is compassionate enough to help me out with steroids and other stuff for pain but I feel like I'm broken or something. Now I live in Richmond, VA and I would like to find a doctor that can understand my pain and just help me to have a better lifetime. I want to be able to deal with my kids, which now is pretty much impossible. I feel like I'm alone and some doctors...
