All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I'd consider calling up a num...

I need help finding a pain clinic in Puerto Rico. I broke my ribs and I can't find one. I like opana because I've been on it before and it helps a lot with my degenerated discs. ## The FDA warns the Opana is an opiate narcotic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, headache, and nausea. The main question, however, is are you asking them if they will prescribe this specific medication, when you contact them? If so, many doctors will view that as being drug seeking behavior, and will just tell you that they don't prescribe it. The best thing to do is to make sure that a new doctor gets a full copy of your medical records, and let them prescribe or suggest treatments, according, going by what other...

Need a doc that understands long term inoperable chronic pain I am suffering bad any help would be appreciated! ## Hello, Thunder! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. However, there is no such thing as walk-in pain management anymore. The DEA set forth new directives last year that have made most doctor's reluctant to prescribe and, when they do, it is only for patients they have an established relationship with. Do you currently have a PCP that might be able to refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way to find the help you need. Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area? ## This is thunder I really thank you for the info. I am waiting on a new MRI and I go back to my PCP in 2 weeks. I'm talking to a laser spine facility to get...

Looking for a pain management Dr in Naples, Fl. Currently seeing one in Fort Myers and I think I am going to have to make a change. I need a Dr who will listen to me, not judge me or make me feel judged. I have scoliosis, arthritis, degenerative disc disease and protruding disc and once I told my dr my medicine wasn't as effective, (after 3 years) the PA decided to wean me off of my meds as if I did something wrong for being truthful. I hardly take anything as is, I only take hydrocodone 7.5, 4x a day. And now they have me on 5 3xs a day. Compared to what other people at pain clinics take, I think I'm doing farely well, so I don't see why it has become an issue. I'm so bummed , I really liked and trusted this office after almost 3 years and then suddenly when my dr was b...

does anyone know of any ohio pain clinics that prescribe oxy 30's ## In what area of Ohio? Some basic information will probably help you get more responses. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Another thing to keep in mind is to not ask them to prescribe any specific medication, when you call a new doctor to set up an appointment, because most doctors will consider that to be drug seeking behavior. ## I live near Coeur d'Alene ID and the only pain management treatment available here is a gestapo clinic that gives you painful cortisone injections-they won't increase your dosages, and then if you are taking more than your prescribed dose-they cut you off! That is what we have here. i am willing to see an out of state doc if he will help. I have 2 bulged discs in my lumbar with ...

I've been in PM for 8yrs and in that time I've only ever been to 3 clinics and never have I've been dismissed for anything other than insurance issues. Never broken any rules anywhere. I've been on fentanyl patches 150 all 8 years. My current clinic that I've been with for more than a year, all the sudden said I would be going way down on the patches. Their reason is health department guidelines and my MEDD score was too high. Told me the acceptable range for patients will not exceed 180. Their only reason was this MEDD score. After a year of giving me 150 all the sudden this. Is this just middle TN or are most pm doctors doing this? And if you have a Dr who isn't doing this, please let me know. I have great insurance and can go most anyplace. I'm now down to...

I have a close family member who has been in pain management for more than 10 years. We are now having great difficulty finding a pain management practice that will prescribe meds for his disabling pain issues. My family member has never abused drugs or substances of any kind and has tried every alternative to medication offered him. How is it that people who have been addicted to drugs, legal or illegal, can continue to go to clinics and receive maintenance medications, but my family member is unable to find a medical practice who will prescribe meds for him so that he can function and have some quality of life? ## Is he actually asking them prescribe medications? If so, most doctors will see that as drug seeking behavior, which they are taught under AMA guidelines. The best thing to d...

Live in Hamilton NJ need dr. to prescribe meds for nerve damage in lower back. I have ins coverage thru work so no clinics please. Don't want drawn out process just want meds to continue standing 7 hours a day.... ## I'm sorry you're suffering and I hope you find help soon. However, as to not wanting to go to a clinic, you really aren't going to have much choice on that. Under the new laws that went into effect at the beginning of the year, changes are being implemented that will no longer allow general practice doctors to prescribe pain medications for long-term use. They will only be allowed to prescribe them for a short period of time, such as when someone has just had surgery or been in an accident, except for in cases of certain rare exceptions. Additionally, you ma...

What and Where is this OCH place they talk about. I see a lot of posts are 3 to 5 years old. Anything current? My husband has been in chronic pain for years and they keep taking MRI's and scans....we really have no clear answer on teh results except they look good!! Then why is he in hellish pain all the time? We have gone to 2 pain management clinics and neither one prescribes pain meds and you have to wait 3 to 6 weeks for an injection appointment! What is he to do in the mean time...just suffer? ## Those are older posts and there are no simple answers except to say things are only becoming more restrictive without tangible documentation of a condition (i.e.;mri,cat scan, Xray) most General practioners are extreamly hesitent to prescribe opiate like narcotics. Some pain clinics ha...

Would be interested in hearing how others have coped without opioids, and whether any recommendations can be made for finding reputable pain clinics and physicians who can still treat with oxycodone. ## I have serious severe pain all over my body from fibromyalgia, arthritis, and had a severe fall down cement stairs requiring surgery in 2015. I need a doctor who will prescribe me pain medication. It is too severe using just topical gel.. ## @Ulisa, Sorry to hear about your challenges with pain management. Does anyone know a pain clinic that perscribes oxycodone and doesn't judge you? ## Hello, Superm! How are you? Due to the new regulations, all doctors must proceed with extreme caution when prescribing controlled substances, or they risk losing their license to practice medication. Oxycodone is a very potent narcotic analgesic that can be habit forming and is very frequently abused, so you really just have to be prepared to jump through the hoops, if you want a doctor to prescribe it for you. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Do you have a PCP that could refer you to someone? ## If you find one please let me know! ## Looking for pain management clinics or doctors in Kentucky that will accept patients who have been on suboxone for the past two years.

I was in an auto accident almost 9 years ago and have had low and mid back pain ever since. I have had a few things done over the years (mri, facet joint injections, etc) and everything has came back clean or hasn't helped. At the moment I go to pain management that does not do anything for me. I have been there 3 years and have had nothing but trigger point injections. They won't up my pain meds either! I have been on hydrocodone 10/325 for 3 years. My back hurts through the pain meds all the time and the one time I told my doctor that my pain meds don't work very good, my doctor said I was an addict and cut my prescription in half. I'm scared to say anything else, since my back hurts all the time and if they cut me again, it will be horrible. Sorry for the long explanat...

ive been prescribed oxycodone between 5mg up to 30 mg at a time any where from 3 times a day up to 5 times a day. I have a debilitating degenerating bone disease in my hips and lower back have 1 artificial hip awaiting the other replacement ... nothing else helps the pain except medicine that's being highly abused in my area and with recent fear of dr writing scripts its very hard to find a dr who will write them. this has forced me to patron some questionable facilities in the past several years. now im out of options and my family dr doesn't prescribe them. The only pharmacy that I can get them at wont fill them from that dr. what do I do? any ideas where I could go aside from the hope clinic? ## In Christiansburg va there are 2 pain clinics. Pain Clinics in the Orlando area charge between $150 and $250 cash per visit.... what aren't they required to take insurance? ## No doctor or clinic anywhere is required to take insurance, unless they receive government funding and must accept some forms as part of the funding agreements. Learn more Pain management details here. Places are required to accept cash as legal tender, but they aren't required to accept credit cards, debit cards, checks, insurance or anything else, if they operate as an independent business.
