46 yr old male having pain and soreness on left side of ribcage ## I am 51, male, I wake up with left flank pain. Lower mid back under the ribs. Goes away after Im up and around. Had an episode about 8 months ago with blood in urine. I thinks I passed a stone because the urine cleared and the pain went away. I had a kidney stone once before. Pain feels like an dull ache. My urine has a strong smell. But is clear to yellow normal looking. I am taking a diaretic for blood preasure. Obviously need to have it checked by a doctor. But am curious to what could be causing the pain?

On February 14, 2017 my urologist inserted a stent I was in so much pain Level 10! On Feb.24th Dr Took me into OR. To blast 7mm. Stone..Prior to going in to have procedure I begged Dr. To remove stent he said the pain was from my back i said no it was in the lower left where the stent was placed..after procedure he informed me that he was going away for a week and no one to cover for him! Date to remove stent was to be on March 9th! Day surgery nurse hear me beg Dr. To remove stent. I have spasms down my left-hand side, I'm not sleeping and also have deep vein thrombosis within my legs and back pain due to kidney stones. I'm in major agony and need help. Please advise. ## What medications has your doctor instructed you to take? Has a scan been done to check the size of the kidney stones? Not all of them will pass on their own, sometimes medical intervention is required, according to NIH studies. I once had to pass a large one, and while it did pass on its own, the experience was horrible. Do you take anything for your DVT?

I have an almost debilitating pain on the left side of my lower back and the only thing I can think that would cause this is a new prescription for 25 mg of losartan. Could this drug be causing this pain? ## Hello, Dede! How are you doing? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. It's possible, but doubtful. Have you consulted your doctor? There are other things that could be causing it, as well, such as dehydration or a kidney stone. You need to see your doctor and have it checked out.

I am also looking for a pain management doctor in NJ that will write for narcotics. I just moved back here after my husband left the military. I have my medical records and I had an amazing pain doc where I was living before. Unfortunately since moving back to NJ, I'm having a hard time finding a pain managment doctor that will prescribe narcotics as well as do steroid injections. The combo works great for me. Everytime I take one I get a pain in my left kidney which worries me. ## This is to the person who gets a pain in her left kidney when she takes a protonix pill. I can relate to that. started taking Bactrim over a week ago due to an acute kidney infection. Began to experience dizziness a day ago, pain behind the ears started on the left side with a bump and then felt pain on the right side the next morning. Body aches as well. Today I woke up with a rash all over my body that itches and almost has like a burning sensation. Can I take Benadryl with Bactrim to help with the rash? ## Yes, you can experience an allergic reaction that late into a course of it. I had it happen to me 9 and a half days in, I had one dose left, but had to see my doctor and stop taking it. a heavy load traumatized my brother on the left shoulder which resulted into heart palpitations.He was treated and the palpitations stopped. I am 23 years old. I had a kidney stone and was given an injection 'Mikastar 500 mg' for 5 days. The stone came out through urination automatically after few days. After 15 days of that I got light pain in my left testicle. For that again I visited the physician and he prescribed me 'Deecee Forte' tablet for three weeks. It is still continued. I had little swelling and light pain in the testicle. After taking the prescribed medicine for 2 weeks now I feel very weak and loss of appetite. The swelling is reduced. Base on the "information sheet" inside the box of this drug, it will affect the kidney. I've consumed 41days as at today without fail a pc a day per my Doctor adivce. I had a urinary problem after I bought and ate the kidney of a cow. I was feeling a hot sensation when urinating, so Purbac DS is one drug I was given three days ago. I am still in pain when urinating four days later. ## I'm also having difficulties when urinating.
