my mother has a cut in her left thumb and is much paining her. We had taken antibiotic tablets but still her pain is not decreasing. The Doctor cut the layer of her skin rudely without applying anything on her thumb and so now she is suffering from much pain. So please suggest me some Best pain killers for my mom.... ## I will suggest to try Soma medication because it really help to get relief from injury pains. But it will be better if you ask your doctor about it as it will be unsafe to consume without doctor prescription. ## So getting a prescription makes it safer, that's a new one. Soma is not a pain medication although some compound versions have some OTC pain relievers in them, and Codeine is also available with Soma

Is it breaking any laws if I get pain killer from 2 different doctors ## Hello, Ace! How are you? It depends on the situation. For instance, if you were going to your regular doctor and received a prescription for 10mg Oxycodone tablets, then also went to another doctor and got another prescription for the same thing, it would be considered doctor hopping and is illegal. However, if you were prescribed something by your regular doctor and went to the ER due to some problem and received a prescription for something else, to make you comfortable, until you can see your doctor, then that wouldn't be. Or if your GP prescribed something mild for a few days, until you got into pain management and then that new doctor prescribes something different. But if you were deliberately doing it to...

it's blue, has the code l910 ## I can't find a listing for this marking, but most tablets that have an L followed by additional numbers are over the counter items. That said, it may be Naproxen, a generic for Aleve, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory. Does this sound correct?

white oblong pill says RX 560 on one side the other side is blank and there is a little slit in the middle ## The pill which you are describing is in fact a generic Vicodin, containing Acetaminophen 500 mg + Hydrocodone 5 mg. It is a narcotic pain killer. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## So it is a 5 mg.

I had a back surgery 17 years ago. that was not successful. My Neurosurgeon prescribed my 2 tabs of ULTRAM 50 with 2 tylenols, every 4 hours. For 15 years Ultram helped my pain. During the last two years, ULTRAM is not helping as good. TRAMADOL is useless for me. I need some equally strong pain killer as ULTRAM 50 mg. ## Hello, Karnail! How are you? Ultram contains Tramadol as the active ingredient, so they are the same thing. However, there is a higher dosage available that you may want to ask your doctor about trying. It is available in 100mg tablets, as well as the 50mg ones. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else ...

My query is please tell me how many days can we use this pain killer Dexketoprofen tablet 25 mg. My age is 47 years. This medicine was prescribed by a doctor for 15 days (twice per day) I came to know that we should not use pain killers more than 3 days. Is it harmful? Please clarify. Thanks in advance. ## I am not sure where you learned the 3 day thing, even most over the counter products can usually be used for a week, then instruct you to discontinue using it and see a doctor if the problem persists. If you are really that concerned, you should contact your doctor, however, there are many people that take NSAIDs for 2 weeks, or longer, as long as their doctor has instructed them to do so. There are risks associated with using any medication and since Dexketoprofen is a nonsteroidal anti...

I have been on norco for 3 years. I take up to 5, 10/325 mg tablets. I have recently found out I have an inflammed pancreas. Also, in the past I have had kidney problems. I also take lots of other medications, and I am concerned about my liver, and inflammed pancreas. I want to take an opiate pain killer without acetaminophen, ibprofen, and naproxen because they are bad for your liver. How do I get a drug like that? Why do they put those other otc meds in the pain killer, when it hurts your liver/ ## Hello, Saree! How are you? The Acetaminophen and NSAIDs tend to augment the action of the narcotic in some people, so they often get better pain relief from a lower dose of the narcotic. However, there are many available that do not contain any of them, such as Zohydro, Oxycontin, Roxicodon...

I was wondering if It will get worse or will it just go away anytime soon. ## Have you consulted your doctor? It's difficult to provide more details, without knowing specifically what you took and how much, just sting pain killers leaves it open to a pretty broad category of drugs. My doctor prescribed Etoshine tablets for my spinal pain, my C5 and C6 are bulged. Is this medicine the only pain killer or cure for the disease? Please advise as I am very confused and in a lot of pain. ## This is a Cox2 Inhibitor, meaning it basically works a powerful anti-inflammatory and is commonly prescribed for these types of conditions. Most herniated discs clear up by themselves over time, your doctor is trying to get the inflammation to go down, so they will slip back where they belong. ## Complete cure is sometimes could not possible. This depends on your age. In the earlier stage of the problem, this medicine helps to cure along with someother precaustions (like physio theropy, excercises, yoga). If the problem is a chronic one chances are less. ## DR PRESCRIBED ETOSHINE 120...

Any info is appreciated. ## My husband's oncologist claimed it was a side effect from extended use of morphine for pain. She switched him to oxycodone and it stopped. However, it was then listed on his chart as an allergy and try as we might to get it removed, no luck. When he was in hospice the only liquid oral pain killer available was morphine and the hospice doctor wouldn't prescribe it because he could have a reaction and die! Can you imagine!?
