I need to find a doc in ky that can help me with my pain. I've been going for years now and they decided to take me off my meds. The doctors want to give me shots in my back and I don't want that. I have been taking Percocet 10 for over 4 years and now they just want to give me ms contin 15 which gives me a bad headache and doesn't help my pain. I don't want a doc to overload me on meds. I have been on large doses of opioid pain medicine for 8 years. My conditions require it for me to walk and do anything out of bed. Now they are stopping it. I'm not ready to lay down the last couple years of my life, I want to spend it standing. Opioids have been used over 4000 years and a very smart Indian rheumatologist told me they have killed less people than most of the man made pharmaceuticals. My dr in Mont., AL has been prescribing me 3 80mg oxycontin for several years. My visit last week he refilled my script and said it could be the last because he was told there was diversion possibly coming from his practice. Btw that was 3 a day. If he doesn't refill my script on my next visit, I need to find a Dr. quick. Is it legal not to wean a patient off? The pain clinics in this town are full. ## If he cannot continue to prescribe, he should be able to refer to another doctor or clinic that will accept his current patients. Has he suggested anyone? Need an pain clinic too treat my pain i have had 2 knee surgerys and taken 2-3 Norco 10 is not treating my pain i also have back pain ## Try TVPC/Spine and Neuro Center in Huntsville. Dr Morris Scherlis is my anesthesiologist and he is great. My only issue with them really is that for office visits I have to see one of his two staff members and the guy(Greg) is kind of an ass. Sorta condescending and suspicious of patients it seems. Also, I have a few other issues besides my back/sciatic pain and I was on several different meds for it including Ativan for anxiety/stress and ambien for sleeping problems due to my pain...I've weaned myself off both of them in the past year and done the same with my muscle relaxers. Do you have a PCP that could refer you to someone? If so, that would most likely be the easiest way of finding the help you need. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Hi. I've been looking for a dr who will prescribe pain medicine in Queens ny. My dr left his practice and since then all dr's, approximately 10, don't prescribe. I have many ailments and have been on Fentinol along with perks for Breakthrough. Many other meds as well. All these dr's seem to want to do now is shots and physical therapy or acupuncture. I was rear ended in a car accident a month ago.I have anxiety which i have clonazepam for but have not need it for 6months until now.The lady that hit me yelled at me cussing and video recorded me on her phone the whole time. I got whiplash and migraines and stiff neck. I went to doctor was given flexeril,naproxen & hyrdrocodone. Im a 53 year old woman who was hit head on by a drunk driver many years ago. I've had physical therapy 4neck surgeries with pin and plates even went so far as having a electric stimulater put in my back. i have tried it all. Can u help? ## Well, if you're searching under Methadone/Methadone treatment, that's all you're going to find. There is no listing of doctors that treat pain with any given medication. For pain, Methadone can be prescribed by any physician that has their license and can prescribe medications, however, if they advertised it, imagine the type of people they'd have beating down their office door. :-) The biggest issue that I think you're going to run into is many doctors not wanting to prescribe it, though they may be perfectly willing to prescribe other opiates. I'm sick and tired of suffering at work and in life. A couple months ago someone gave me a few perc 30s and I was able to do everything just about pain free. Over the counter pills don't work and I'm trying to find a dr in northeast PA to help. At one point I was prescribed 10s and I had to take a nauseating amount for relief. Looking for a methadone Dr. in S.W. I'm having a hard time finding a doctor that will prescribe oxycodone 30mg in New Jersey. I have already had 2 back surgeries as well as numerous IV's and still with no relief. I have degenerative disc disease, 3 herniated discs and one completely gone. I'm in constant pain and nothing helps. I was seeing a doctor that was prescribing 90-180 oxycodone 30mg for almost a year until one day he up and closed his practice with no notice.
