I suffer from chronic pain in my neck, lower back, and primarily in my left leg from a severe knee injury in '09. I broke my Tibia, Fibula, tore my acl, pcl, and the perineal nerve. My ortho surgeon said I had a 50/50 chance of having dropfoot due to the severity of nerve damage even if the reconstructive surgery went well. Luckily that did not happen, but I did have to have a 2nd surgery about 7 months later due to unexplained pain where my pcl is located and limited movement and strength gaining. I am 62yrs young and I have been on heavier pain meds since 1996. I need my doctor or another one to prescribe my oxycodone ay 30mgs instead of 10mgs for my breack thru pain. My Neurologist in nyc has had me on 30mg oxy (PO every 4-6 hrs), which I have been taking for the last 2 years. I just moved to Charlotte NC and I need a doctor who will do a similar routine. southeastern pain care is not one of them. I just won 10, and without any examination, this position told me that I have fibromyalgia and that I need to be on fibromyalgia medication. He didn't examine me, he didn't do anything.
