I have endometriosis And moved to Indiana from Florida last year. And they aren't giving me the meds I was previously on, even though my old pain management dr sent my records. I am in so much pain and not sure what else to do. Please help. This has been such a hard year with this pain. ## No dr has to prescribe you the same meds your previous dr did. Even with your medical records, there is no guarantee. ## Dr. A, at Summit Pain Management is great at listening to your needs. I'm already on psych meds, and even though I have severe back problems, doctors didn't want to give me anything. But he did. But I'm also doing injections and therapy

I live in south bend indiana and will travel to go to a clinic. I have been on methadone for years for pain. My doctor will no longer see me. Please help ## Methadone Clinics do not treat chronic pain. And there is a difference between physical dependance from taking it for a long time, as with chronic pain, and the criteria used when evaluating someone for methadone maintance due to addiction, If you're able to find a dr that will treat you, they will need to get a copy of your medical records from your last dr. You didn't say why your last dr refuses to treat you. But depending of the reason, it may be almost impossible to find a dr to treat you like you have been in the past.

I am in serious intractable pain that can only be treated efficaciously methadone and I need a doctor who will prescribe methadone ## Hello, Campbell! How are you? Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. A general practice doctor won't be able to prescribe it for you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you tried pain management, yet? There is no way to guarantee that any doctor will prescribe Methadone for you, but they are specially trained in treating intractable pain. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that ...

Same as many: pain doc retired. Must find a new one. I've been on high doses of pain meds (so I hear) 30mg mscontin 3x day, 20mg oxycodone up to 80mg per day. Doc retired. Can someone please suggest a doctor, or point me in a very helpful "same" direction? Have to wait a month for ins. About to lose my house. Can't work, can't sleep, can't concentrate. I have about 1 month to make something work fast. I cannot go through some long, long, referral here, referral there, back again thing again! Need results! Need doc, now! ## What this government has done is beyond ridiculous! "War on drugs"? The only things I've heard of, as a direct...

I need a good dr. in Indianapolis that is persistent. One that will help me control my pain, and help control my very high anxiety... Please Help!!!!!! ## Hi Mike, Personally, I think if you suffer from any sort of anxiety/depression and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), usually your best bet is to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. Reason being, is that they are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and can also help you treat the underlying cause of your anxiety or depression, as opposed to covering up the feelings and emotions with medication. In regards to finding a local pain doctor, I have listed below a couple websites specific to locating pain management doctors in a given area. All you have to do is input...

I have been on 80 mgs of Percocet for a number of ailments for 9years and now because of some kind of law I only get 22,5 mgs a day. I am 62 years old, got hurt 24 years ago and I continued to work even thought I was in pain untio 2007, now I am on disability. have been able to control pain with Percocet. what I don't understand is the fact that I never asked for pain meds but they were prescribed almost 10 years ago and then they r reduced to 1/4 of the strength. ## They will provide you with FREE treatment options. You will not EVER get meds like that again in INDIANA. We are the second strictest state now. They began tapering my hubby off 1/4, then another 1/4, and again 1/4 until he is on 25% of beginning doses after four months. ALL BEFORE the law took affect in December. ## I ...

Any names of doctors who will prescribe vicodin for degenerative disks in IN? ## Hello, Alex! How are you? There is no database of doctors that will prescribe any given medication. If you require such a medication on a long-term basis for chronic pain, you will most likely need to see a pain management specialist. Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, then it would most likely be easiest to have them refer to you someone. Learn more Vicodin details here. ## I'm not sure where you are, but if you were in the UK you would definitely need a prescription. If you want to be treated or even just een quickly your best bet is to consult a private doctor. Sameday Doctor clinics will even provide a walk in service. ## You can find them at: samedaydoctor.co.uk

My problem is much like so many others on here. After being treated with meds for 12 years (120 Soma per month as well as 180 Norco 10 and 120 Valium 10) my wife which is on full disability was also treated by the same doc for 9 years. The doctor was raided by local police and DEA but was never charged with anything unfortunately the local press basically tried and convicted him in 1 week smear campain. As a result he never returned.to his.practice and allowed his medical license to expire. It's now been 22 months and the DEA still has my medical file as well as 15 other patients. It has been the closest thing to hell as I have every known. I can't even get a doctor to write a prescription for my gout medication. I now realized the amount of drugs I was receiving was excessive I...

I'm only 25 years old, but have the spine of someone twice my age with degenerating discs and one herniated disc, due to years of excessive exercise and heavy lifting. Most of the time my pain is under control, but when it gets bad, even on 50mg of hydrocodone a day I can barely move. But of course no doctor wants to prescribe a 25 y/o anything stronger. I've been researching local doctors and pain management centers and one that came up was Dr. Daniel Cha of Valparaiso, IN. I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with him and if so, is he any good? and does he not treat you like a total junkie (like many pain management doctors do)? ## yes, ha i WAS his patient. he has no bedside manner, he cut his whole practice down on meds, mg wise. if you got insurance and want to ge...

I need to find a doctor in Clay City, In. that will prescribe percocet. ## Why do people need Percocet/oxycodone? I have been reading a lot of posts and I see people Dr. shopping. In order to get pain meds/narcotics/controlled substances, you must go to a licensed Pain Clinic. You have to sign a pain contract, take a U/A every two months and can only get your pain meds from your Pain Clinic. Family doctors, family medical practices and even Sports medicine Centers as well only prescribed Percocet for a very short period of time. An example is when I get a tooth pulled I get 17 Percocet which is enough to last for five days and then your tooth should be healed. I don’t suggest that you keep Dr. shopping because it will catch up with you. What I’m suggesting for these people t...

I live in Portland Indiana. I just can't get a break with these doctors here. My old doctor was in Michigan but I could no longer make the trip up.
