If not, due to the ongoing problems people are having with various clinics in Florida and getting prescriptions filled from them, the best suggestion I can make is to contact the social work department of your nearest hospital. Chronic pain to lower right leg, ankle, and foot from: fascotomy, scar tissue, tendon tightness, spasms, planter fascitis, zero nerve function in leg, extremely numb/weak, calf/muscle tightness. I'm 60 and live west of Chicago I have severe back problems and I'm looking for a new pain clinic.I've been taking OxyContin 40 mg twice a day and it needs to be increased, but the Doctor won't do it. So I'm presently looking for a new doctor to prescribe Pain medication. And yes, they are allowed to do so, it's considered a contractual agreement for treatment and most clinics do this. I have taken a 120 mg of oxycotin every day and I also take oxycocet for breakthru pain my regular Md tells me that I should not be able to feel pain anywhere in my body,is he right and I'm just a big baby or is he full of it. ## You are not a big baby, you are in chronic pain. I take 400 mgs of Oxycontin per day and a whole host of other drugs, including Norco and Oxycodone for BT pain. Find yourself a better Dr or Pain Clinic !

I am on oxycontin 40 mg every 12 hours and 30 mg oxycodone every 4 hours as needed. Recently dilaudid showed up in my urine test and I was thrown out of the pain clinic. They refuse to discuss the lab results with me just told me to leave. I'm 62 years old and not a stupid person. I know I'm drug tested not even sure what dilaudid is. Now I'm going through horrible withdrawal after 6-7 years on pain meds. Panicking because I feel like I'm going to die. The pain is coming back and I'm going to be back in a wheelchair suffering and my life will be over. I never took anything but what they gave me. The doctor at the pain clinic that I have just started going to has given me 15mg of OxyContin 2x per day with 10mg of oxycodone 3x per day. I had been taking at least 6 10mg of oxycodone a day from my neurologist. I have ran out of the oxycodone and the OxyContin doesn't seem to help me. How does the OxyContin work? Is 15mg OxyContin a common time release med to help severe chronic pain? ## Yes, Oxycontin is a time released formulation, the medication is slowly released over a period of 12 hours, so it will not affect you the same as the regular release formulation. My best friend, who introduced me to her surgeon that performed my 360 fusion, was recently forced to return to PM due to pain from numerous back problems including but not limited to Bone spurs, bulging discs, curvature of the spine and more..., Her PM clinic is about an hour away from mine. Anyhow, he had her on Oxycodone 15 MG IR 4 times a day and he recently added Oxycontin 30mg ER twice a day due to her not having much relief from just the 15 mg pills. They both contain Oxycodone, but the Roxicodone is a regular release formulation, while Oxycontin is time released. I just started taking methadone a couple days ago for pain because I was in a pain clinic taking Oxycodone (perks) and Oxycontin (extended release perks) both at 10mg 3x a day but I would take more than prescribed because it didnt help my pain at that amount alone. Then I found out i am pregnant and those meds are category B in the FDA database so its safer to take them while pregnant but I missed one appointment at the pain center that i didnt even know about they made an appointment for me without seeing if i could make it and didnt notify me prior to the appointment day so of course i missed it. I am on a regime from wisconsin pain clinic it works great and I get a quality of life. The AR doctors want to screw around with something that works. I need a Dr. to pick up where other drs were doing and now AR dont want to RX oxycontin or oxycodone. What is the beef? Greetings, I am a 57 year old female patient who is currently on 160 mg of oxycontin per day. I have SEVERE osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, and I have had three a surgeries sine 2004--all bone related. I M currently staving off a double knee replacement and lower back surgery for severe stenosis. There are days I can barely walk. The most recent issue I have is a collapsed arch in my right foot which is protruding through the bottom of my foot. I have medical records to back up all of these conditions.
