In addition, you may get better responses if you give, at least, your general location, since Alabama is pretty big. Two months ago I went to my pain clinic to pick up my prescriptions for 120 60mg morphine pills and 90 30mg morphine pills .My prescriptions were changed without warning to 60 100mg morphine pills and 45 30mg morphine pills. I've been on this medication for 5yrs. and the dosage for over a year.My pain was manageable but not now. I was told everyone was cut back due to dea regulations. Dr Morris Scherlis is my anesthesiologist and he is great. My only issue with them really is that for office visits I have to see one of his two staff members and the guy(Greg) is kind of an ass. Sorta condescending and suspicious of patients it seems. Also, I have a few other issues besides my back/sciatic pain and I was on several different meds for it including Ativan for anxiety/stress and ambien for sleeping problems due to my pain...I've weaned myself off both of them in the past year and done the same with my muscle relaxers. My dr in Mont., AL has been prescribing me 3 80mg oxycontin for several years. My visit last week he refilled my script and said it could be the last because he was told there was diversion possibly coming from his practice. Btw that was 3 a day. If he doesn't refill my script on my next visit, I need to find a Dr. quick. Is it legal not to wean a patient off? Need to find a VA doctor at one of the clinics in Huntsville,al. Who prescribe pain meds for RA. I have a valid pain issue and my doctor took me off hydrocodone 10/325. Those helped me get out of bed without groaning and acheing for 20 min before i can get up. Now i am in pain and my doctor just wants to give me ultram. This med in no way helps. My pain clinic was manageing my pain until 3 months ago. I went to pick up my scripts and was surprised at the change n my meds without my knowledge! I was on 4 60mg morphine er and 3 30mg morphine ir a day and my pain was manageable.They cut me to 2 100mg morphine er and 11/2 30mg morphine ir. no warning something about DEA or DEU regulations changeing. I'm 28 and have a birth defect spina bifida oculata,as well as several bulging and herniated disc,several fused vertebraes , also have fibromyalgia, and possible ms.
