Can 9 months pregnant can take this tablet for throat pain ## @Chakradhar, Based on my research, Monocef (Cephradine) has been assigned to pregnancy category B by the FDA. From what I've read, animal studies haven't revealed any evidence of fetal harm. However there is no controlled data in relationship to human pregnancy. For this reason it is recommend that Monocef should only be given during pregnancy when a need has been clearly established and outweighs any possible risk to the fetus. Can this pill be broken in half and taken? 200 mg is very strong. Half of that dose would be more agreeable. Will it still work as it should? Just not as strong? ## Generally, if the medication is not in an extended release form, I don't see why it wouldn't be safe to divide the tablet in half for a smaller dosage. However, this particular tablet does appear to be extended release and therefore I would NOT encourage anyone to tamper with it in any way, even for legitimate reasons. Just to be sure we are on the same page, this is an oblong green pill with [M] on one side and "200" on the other. And it reportedly contains 200mgs of Morphine sulfate SR (slow release). A male who is taking chrono200 can marry. ## From what I've read on the topic of side effects, this appears be a very dangerous medication for anyone. Apparently, cases of life-threatening inflammation of the pancreas have been reported with the use of divalproex (Encorate) delayed-release tablets. Life-threatening liver failure has also occurred in patients taking divalproex delayed-release tablets. Although Encorate is not a delayed-release version of the drug, I think it is still very important to contact your doctor and report any stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or loss of appetite, as soon as your recognize any symptoms (for your own safety). Redbook 2009 page 375 "Pharmacys Fundamental Reference" 100 tabs of five mg Ovation Pharmaceutical "Desoxyn" is $381.65 wholesale, and is $457.98 retail, "cash in fist" or $4.58 per tablet. I used to take the former Abbott Labs of North Chicago, Illinois, the former 10mg and 15 mg. "Desoxyn Gradumet tablets, which were available at least from 1965 until 1999, these were extended (sustained release tablets) not the instant release 5 mg ones that Ovation is licensed to manufacture for Abbott. The 10 mg were orange, the15 mg were yellow. Even the white ones, 5 mg, were embossed with the classic little reverse "a" in a small letter. Much superior, in my humble opinion, were Abbott's former stimulant called "Desbutal" which also were methamphet...
