I have been off the opiates for just over a year and lately due to stress I find myself wanting to deal with my issues by self medicating and used subutex to get clean. Suboxen gives me headaches so I need a dr in the oak ridge area who will prescribe subutex before I go down that addiction path again. I have so much going in my favor and don't want to lose all that I've worked to achieve. Hello i just found out i was having a baby i have bluecare insurance does anyone know a doc that prescribes subutex and takes my insurance and is in murfressboro tn please help ## I don't know how it is in TN, but judging by down here in GA, where I live and what I did when I found out I was pregnant and surprise surprise got laid off my job a week later. My best bet was to go get emergency Medicaid. And they would do anything to help you get off and stay off drugs, like they did for me. They paid for me to be in a private rehab center where they could monitor me and the baby and there were doctors and nurses there. So if suboxone makes withdrawal for and your child more bearable and safe, they'd probably have no problem with you having them since you'll be in a safe, clinic...

If anyone can help it will be appreciated it he is so miserable. ## Hi, Sorry I don't live in IN. But this is my suggestion just find any MD. Tell him what has happened and that he can't take suboxone maybe it gives him terrible head aches? It did me!! Some will write subutex here in Alabama and they are suboxone drs. I told a suboxone Dr. That I couldn't afford suboxone and if I didn't have something that it would just be cheaper for me to get ...

I am really having a hard time finding a doctor who treats with Subutex and not Suboxone. I have chronic pain syndrome and relief-seeking behavior soon became drug-seeking behavior. My psychiatrist put me on Subutex, and my pain was reduced a little, but I wasn't so much into drug seeking anymore. I was treated for 5 years. Then I moved, and I can't find anyone in Ohio who does this. I might have to move back to Chicago! Any suggestions? ## What is your particular issue with using Suboxone, rather than Subutex? They both contain the exact same narcotic to treat pain and/or addiction, Buprenorphine. The only difference is that the Suboxone also contains Naloxone, to help prevent someone from abusing other narcotics, while they are using it. If you are no longer having a problem w...

I recently moved to another state, I'm been on subxone for 7 months and now I have no insurance at all, I paid 300$ to see a Dr. I received a free cupon for 15 Zubsolve and I went back to my Dr. He put me on Subutex for 1 month because its cheaper then the strips! I have my script and I went to one Pharmacy and its 320.00 for 48 of them.. I know its cheaper then 450.00 for my strips. I'm having trouble paying for my script. I can get generic for too but I do not know where to fill them. I heard that some pharmacies may charge as low as 2$ a pill but I'm having a hard time finding one. Just thought maybe someone might know of a place or Drug company that has assistance with help.. I will be out of my zubsolv in 3 days. I've never been on subutex before. My Dr said just on...

Small white round pill with the numbers 54 755 on the same side. ## I was using perk 10s for over a year and having a hard time coming off this opiate being told if wanting to be free of this addiction and using subutex the right way will be very helpful in my recovery ## Yes, this tablet is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories, and they list it as containing 2mgs of Buprenorphine, which is most commonly used to help treat drug addiction, and to treat some forms of chronic pain. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Virtual would be better as I have work. I'm trying to get my children back. Please help. ## The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration has an information website, which includes a link to assistance in finding a treating doctor near you. They also have a text service that you can use by sending your zipcode to 435748 (HELP4U). The FDA does warn that Subutex carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is it safe for a parent to be driving their children while taking subutex? ## It really depends on the person in question and how it affects them. If you read the warnings given for these types of medications, it states that you shouldn't drive or operate heavy machinery, until you know for sure how the medication is affecting you. If it causes a lot of drowsiness and dizziness in the person that's taking it, then no, they should refrain from driving. However, not everyone that takes it experiences such side effects and they also tend to wear off, over time, so if they do experience them, there may be only a short period of time, where it isn't safe for them to drive. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## Legal in Tn if your prescribed to drive to & from dr unlik...

I've been taking 2mg sub a day for the past year. I've had a few bumps in the road over the past year and my sub Dr has been very patient. I'm going to run out before my next refill. I'm scared and I'm sorry if this against the board rules. ## This is why they have contracts. You should tell the doctor if your pain is still not being managed. Taking more than what is prescribed is not good, and is why the rest of us end up paying. "Sorry"? Your doctor is NOT going to give you any extra, because his license to practice, is on the line. They have heard every story..."they fell out of my purse", "I dropped some in the sink". No sympathy at all. It's up to you to report, that you are still in pain. Deciding to medicate yourself more, without g...

You don't have to be in withdrawal to take subutex. Been on it for 6 years. I always read this garbage from people that don't have a damn clue, passing on info they are just regurgitating. ## Hello, tmoney! How are you? That is correct and thank you for posting. Sometimes, people may feel minor withdrawal symptoms, because Buprenorphine tends to be stronger in gripping onto the opiate receptors, so it kicks out other stuff someone may have taken. But, if doesn't cause the dangerous precipitated withdrawals, in most cases, that people can experience if they take Suboxone too soon, due to the Naloxone that's in it. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may c...

I've been trying to find a subutex doctor. I used to take oxys, perk 30's and other opiates but then I started subutex. I now have a good job and want to keep it that way! But now any doctor I've called wants to prescribe suboxone first and it makes me sick. it gives me migraines (which I have chronic migraine syndrome so it must be a trigger) a rash and makes me sick to the stomach. Second I have no insurance and its just way too expensive from all the research I've done. Does anyone know of doctors in central PA that prescribe subutex or how I go about getting subutex and not suboxone?? ## I go to a dr in Mobile Al who I adore - its a total judgment free zone but majority staff are lazy and don't return calls - the same ones who are good are amazing! What the difference between Buprenorphine with Naloxone and Buprenorphine without Naloxone ## Hello, Cynthia! How are you? That is the difference. once contains the Naloxone to help prevent the abuse of other medications, while someone is being treated with it and the other doesn't. Naloxone isn't safe for everyone, particularly pregnant women, or someone who is allergic to it, so a different option has to be available for them. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I need to know the name of the doctor in Johnson City Tennessee who prescribes Subutex and benzo's at the same time I am interested in maintenance. ## Most Drs won't prescribe the two together. Because they both are downers. A lot of people dont know that. They lower your respiration. Finding a dr that will prescribe the two will be difficult. You can always seek a primary care or Ive heard some place called Graceland that would write the benzos and just find another doctor for addiction purposes solely. ## Restoration and wellness is located on Susanna Drive in Johnson City the doctor's name is dr. Morris he will prescribe you benzos and Subutex ## If you have a dr giving you pain meds or maintenance meds primary dr can't give nerve meds they tell u get from your other ...

My dr. says you cant get subutex in CANADA,not in CANADA and that sucks, I WANT SUBUTEX and xyrem too, lol! CANADA SUCKS! Yet i hear someone say under the worst conditions. No one seems to know the answer for this and i am having reactions to naloxone. We have the Bupe patch, but i dont know if that will replace suboxone! I hope Canada gets it! ## Hello, When you say Bupe patch, are you referring to Buprenorphine? If so, Subutex contains Buprenorphine so I imagine that they should work in similar ways. I've taken vitamin B12 patches and I could tell that the vitamin was much more effective as a patch vs a pill. Hopefully that will be the case with your "Bupe" patches! I'm not sure as to why Subutex isn't available in Canada though, does anyone else have any informati...

Thanks ps stay away from cvs ## Subutex is an opiate, so the FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now? HAs there been any change? Are you on any other medications?

Why would someone take suboxone and subutex at the same time. Are they not basically treating the same condition? ## Yes, the only difference is that the Suboxone contains Naloxone, to neutralize other narcotics that someone may try to take at the same time. However, the narcotic in both is Buprenorphine, which is used to treat drug addiction and severe cases of pain that is resistant to other medications. Have they both been prescribed to someone?

My mom and I have been seeing the same dr for many years. Seeing my mom for 4 and me for 2. Before that I saw a different Dr for 4 years. Health Connect recently bought them out and now they aren't letting them prescribe Subutex. They gave us 3 months of meds and said they would send us referrals for other Dr's in the mail. We never got the referrals. It's hard enough to find a good Dr, much less one as cheap as the one we were seeing ($50 every other month or when we had it), but they never sent anything. My mom called 2 times asking about it and they told her each time that they sent it. Finally after days of bugging them they gave her the name of one Dr - a Dr that isn't currently taking patients. Now we have been kicked to the curb with no help. Aside from not having...

Surely I'm not the only person reading in shock and disbelief. How is it that so many people are unaware of the basic facts and information regarding bup. I am reading in horror that woman are trying to detox during pregnancy. That is the worst option - it is risking both lives. I also read a question regarding the effectiveness of mixing bup with methadone. Anyone using these meds should know it causes withdrawals, that's the point of bup. I feel lucky to have drug treatment services that are free but able to stand along what is provided to private patients. It's horrible to think of pregnant woman on bup having to come on here to ask for info and not telling their dr in fear of judgement or welfare. What is up with a woman thinking its an option to detox at five mnths preg...
