I found a pill that is light blue colored football shaped w/p445 on it. What is it? ## what are they for? ## I have removed the incorrect identification. Just to clarify that when it comes to generic drugs, the shape and color of a pill has nothing to do with what the pill actually is, you have to go by the imprint on the pill. Yes, there are namebrand Xanax that are blue and football shaped, however, this pill IS NOT XANAX, not any type of controlled substance.! As a matter of fact, this is not even a prescription drug of any sort. This is pill is nothing more than Naproxen Sodium 200mgs, over the counter, sold commonly under the name brand Aleve. This is just a generic or store brand.

I was wondering what this pill is used for? It is oblong, gray on one side and white on the other. The number on the pill is p449 and the number is on the gray side. It is not a capsule. ## I am almost 100% sure this is Robax Platinum (500mg methocarbamol, 200 mg Ibuprofin) I use these for muscle strains and they really do a good job at easing the pain without making you feel "loopy". ## Jenny may be right, as I have come across a small pill image of Robax Platinum depicting a half white, half gray oblong pill associated with their product packaging. However I also noticed a score line on the pill and it wasn't clear enough to determine what the markings were (if any). Also, please correct me if I'm wrong, but Robax Platinum appears to be a Canadian medication. Just some...

I purchase Topzole p40 . Is there a generic which I can purchase over the counter, " pharmacy " everytime I need to get a prescription ? ## TopZole contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a "prescription-only" medication here in the US; used to treat erosive esophagitis and other conditions involving excess stomach acid. A family member of mine takes Prilosec (Omeprazole) - which is regarded as an over the counter alternative for these same types of conditions. I'd imagine though, that it may or may not be quite as efficient compared to its prescription counterpart, but certainly worth a try if you need something for excess stomach acid. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Omeprazole Details I hope this helps!

Trying to identify a small oval yellow pill that says APO one said and P40 on the other ## I also have an oval yellow pill, apo on one side p40 on other side. ## The pharmaceutical name for this drug is APO or RAN - PANTOPRAZOLE. It comes in either 40 or 20 mg and that is what the 40 stands for on the pill. This drug is mainly used to treat stomach ulcers, intestinal ulcers or gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD). You should talk to your doctor before taking this medication especially if you have any liver or kidney disease, are pregnant or breastfeeding. Certain individuals may have an allergic reaction and this drug may have complications with other medications you are taking so it is important to speak to your doctor, or at least a pharmacist before taking it.
