Hi, Since I heard that Impax finally got the green light to distribute Oxymorphone ER (Opana ER) generic through Global Pharmacy. I didn't hesitate to rush to my PM doc and he instantly had me switch to this new drug. He prescribed me 40 mg twice per day to treat my busted back & fibromyalgia. I noticed the pill is round in shape with G74 on one side with nothing on the other. The color for the 40 mg ER tablet is an orangy/gold color. Ever since Endo ruined their product with the new TRF formulation. I promised myself to jump back on the bandwagon as soon as the generics were released. Ive been on opans 40 mg for about 5 yrs.i hate the new formulated opanas so when i found out about the release of the generic from impaxs and how well theyve worked for others that have been on opana too ive wanted to get them.well i got my script yesterday and cant find them anywhere.most places keep saying they dont make a generic which i know is bulls*** cuz i called impax to find out where i can find them and they didnt kno but gave me the names of the 3 distributers they deal with and got no where with that.my question is does anyone kno of a place around akron/canton ohio area that i can get them filled.any help with this is greatly appreciated.thanks for the help and good luck to everyone else that is dealing with chronic pain and going through hell just to get some releif which ......

I need to know if oxycodone is in any way related to oxymorphone. Does oxycodone break down in the system and then throw out oxymorphone chemicals like my doctor told me or is my urine test flawed like I believe it to be. There is no way I could have either one of these in my system yet my doctor (who really does not want to treat pain by medication only due to lack of payment by insurance company) tells me that the oxymorphone in my system is actually a chemical breakdown from the oxycodone. I had been on 10 mg oxymorphone for 2 years due to 6 failed lower lumbar back surgeries and 2 neck surgeries, one which left me with a cage and disc replacements. The tightness and pain I feel daily is excruciating. I am 55 years old and can barely get out of bed each morning. I was just Rx'd Provigil (modafinil), which is a mild stimulant for Narcolepsy, Sleep Apnea, and Shift Work Sleep Disorder. In my case, it's for mixed sleep apnea and Hypersomnia, (which is similar to Narcolepsy). Well, I am currently scheduled to have a lumbar L5-S1 DISCECTOMY. My physician recently prescribed 20mg of Oxymorphone 2X a day with 10mg Oxycodone for breakthrough pain up to 3 a day. My question is what is equivalent strength of the Oxymorphone to the Oxycodone? Dr. Made it seem like it's very strong, which initially was in first month but now 3 months later, not as much. I do have multiple pain issues, not just back pain. I am on oxymorphone er 15mg 3x a day, along with 30mg oxycodone break through 4x a day.....I live in nashville, I have no insurance, but with anyone with my problem with finding a pharmacy who carries the 15mg "moons" and not expensive. I got the place for u, I was paying $412 for 90 oxymorphone 15mg and $125 for 120 30mg oxycodone. I now pay $177 for 90 15mg oxymorphone and $55 for 120 30mg oxycodone and like I said, I have no insurance. And they carry the moons. But what I do to keep from WD is, I insufflate half a moon in the morning and it last me bout 5 hours, then I'll insufflate a 30mg roxi or take about 2 orally, then around 5pm I'll insufflate the other half of the moon and that keeps me going, every now and then, I'll take more, but I dont take as directed,......

Can anyone please help. I am going through transitioning doctors and Insurances. Currently no Insurance. long story short I am having to pay for my prescription of 120 Oxymorphone er 40mg. Yet the lowest I can find is still around $600 !!! With discount card. Yikes!! My research has found there are NO programs available. I have found Discount cards, but nothing substantial. I live in the boro.... close to Nashville also. I have searched everywhere it seems, and was hoping someone could put me on the right path to a pharmacy that has them in the area.... Thank you ## Rite aid in old hickory might be worth a shot. Unfortunately, pharmacies can not tell you over the phone if they have that medication.
