I was on opana 40ers switched to generic, new pills have half moon on one side and 230 on the other, tan is this pill same as other , two hours after taking need breakthrough meds. ## Hello, Chad! How are you? Yes, they contain the same medication in a 40mg extended release formulation. There can sometimes be slight fluctuations from one generic to another, but they are very slight and it usually only takes a week or so for your body to adjust. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

How long does it take to work, have 30 oxycodone for break thru pain! I used to take Opana 40Mg ER & seemed to work better, or faster! Broke back in service, then in 1975, again in 2002, with 12mmx8mm rupture @ L3-4 & fragment in nerve root @ L3-4, moderate severe spinal stenosis From C3 to L-5, crippled up but 77 Sept 11, 2017 & I don't want operations (to be gutted like fish been told by doctors!) & I have diabetes & heart problems too! Help, what is best for severe pain, 24-7 with terrible neoupathy down left leg, thigh to foot! ## It really varies from person to person. A time released medication is slowly released over the dosage period, so it may not alleviate all of your pain immediately. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit f...

we are low income in need of coupon or other help with RX! ## The manufacturer, Endo Pharmaceuticals does have an assistance program for Opana for low-income patients without insurance. You can reach them for more information on it at 866-824-4747. Can you post back and let us know if you get any help? ## Impax just started senting out their generic Opana ER called oxymorophone. If you have insurance it will ran about $7.00 or what ever you plan is for. I was paying $50.00 and I will get it for $7.00. Its for 7.5 er-40mg ER's. They aren't available everywhere yet. If anyone has already received them where are you located? ## There aren't in Nashville yet but you can download the GoodRx app, it will create a coupon for prescriptions and give prices at local pharmacies.

Opana costs too much for the same thing that Oxymorphone does. Opana is about $500+/-, while Oxymorphone is $47. ## opana and oxymorphone are the same thing, and you can get high off it. They are avaliable in 10's ir and 20's & 50's in er. ## Opana works for me. I just picked up 130 pills for $1,000 and some change. Worth every penny. ## i took oxymorphine before is tat ifferent than hydromorpone i justcant believe the way people judge people that obviously are suffering blows me away ## if u picked up 130 of any type of opana it is well worth your money. you could sale it for more than that ## Opana ER's are available in: 10mg. 20mg. 30mg. 40mg. Can anyone please help. I am going through transitioning doctors and Insurances. Currently no Insurance. long story short I am having to pay for my prescription of 120 Oxymorphone er 40mg. Yet the lowest I can find is still around $600 !!! With discount card. Yikes!! My research has found there are NO programs available. I have found Discount cards, but nothing substantial. Does anyone have a good lead? I'm grateful I am down to a single pain med. But financially its straining. ## I know exactly how you feel because I've been in the very same situation. That certainly is a ridiculous price. Honestly, the best option is to consider discussing with your pain doctor the possibility of switching to a different pain medication once you get settled with a new doctor because there are ...

Pictures oxymorphone imprinted with cresent ## Hello, Shades! How are you? Those would be tablets manufactured by Actavis Pharmaceuticals. They have a gray 7.5mg ER tablet with the numbers 261 on one side, a white 15mg ER tablet with the numbers 262 on one side, a yellow 40mg tablet with the numbers 230 on one side, a tan 20mg ER tablet with the numbers 229 on one side, a pink 30mg ER tablet with the numbers 263 on one side, an orange 10mg ER tablet with the numbers 228 on one side, and a pink 5mg ER tablet with the numbers 227 on one side. Do any of these match the tablet in question? Need help finding a pharmacy in Las Vegas or Henderson that has Oxymorphone Er 40mgs ## @Scar if you know of a pharm that does, could you share as to who/where please and was 'prior authorization' required? Was switched to it today (first time) and struck out at each stop. Mine is for the generic & I have Medicaid. Thank you very much. ## Did you guys have any luck? I'm in Vegas as well and I'm curious a to how much you had to pay out of pocket. If any. ## Hi. Hi, Since I heard that Impax finally got the green light to distribute Oxymorphone ER (Opana ER) generic through Global Pharmacy. I didn't hesitate to rush to my PM doc and he instantly had me switch to this new drug. He prescribed me 40 mg twice per day to treat my busted back & fibromyalgia. I noticed the pill is round in shape with G74 on one side with nothing on the other. The color for the 40 mg ER tablet is an orangy/gold color. Ever since Endo ruined their product with the new TRF formulation. I promised myself to jump back on the bandwagon as soon as the generics were released. Today is a great day for all who suffer chronic pain. Yay! 8-) Moon ## I am very glad that it's helping you so well. Yes, the generics are available now, but it may be a bit before they can ea...

I would like to know why Opana ER is so powerful? It comes in 10, 20, 30, & 40 mgs. I took this medication once and it made OxyContin feel far inferior as an all around mood enhancer and pain reliever. What is the difference in the pharmacology from OxyContin to Oxymorphone? ## It is just a different medication that is stronger than Oxycodone. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Years ago, I remember Oxycontin being the most powerful one available. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Oxymorphone is to morphine what oxycodone is to codeine. There are many stronger ones then oxymorphone like fentanyl. Some of the hydrogen atoms are replaced with oxygen and it ...

Show pictures of Oxymorphone imprinted with cresent on one side of tablet & numbers on reverse ## I just got my prescription filled. I get both oxymorphone er 20 mg and oxymorphone er 40 mg. This is what they look like. As you can see they have more binder than an equivalent global pharma er 20 mg. I placed a global pharma er 40 on the other size for a reference. I have not taken one yet but have been very happy with global pharmaceutical. I don't see how anyone could benefit from having more inert powder. ## The crescent logo is used by Actavis Pharmaceuticals, and they use it on several different doses of Oxymorphone, as well as on some other medications. what is then dosage for oxymorphine er15 vs opana 40mg? ## Oxymorphone is the active ingredient in Opana, so the base dosage would be the same. The only difference in war you've listed is that the ER designates that one as being a time released formulation, rather than a regular release like the other one. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I don't understand your question. Opana 40mg is extended release and oxymorphone 15mg ER is the generic version of Opana 15mg ER. So the only difference is the strength as there is no such thing as instant release Opana 40mg. The only IR version of Opana is 10mg, which is available as the generic oxymorphone 10mg. I hope this answers your question, if not, please repost your question and make sure your last post was what you meant ...

oxycontin 40mg versus opana 30mg, which one helps most? ## It really depends on the person and which one works better for them. The 30mgs of Opana, in this case, is the more potent of the two, if that's what you're asking. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I know this is a very old post but i just had to say the Opana is no more but the generic(oxymorphone 30mg ER) is still available and BLOWS EVERYTHING out of the water by far including the oxycontin 80's n especially a 40mg oxycontin thats all

does opana ir come in 40mg ## No, the available information on the drug lists the 40mg as only being available in the time released formulation of it. Oxymorphone is a narcotic analgesic and may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any comments or questions? ## The only IR Opana is a 10mg strength and comes in generic as oxymorphone 10mg. Hope that helps. Usually if you take Opana ER 40mg, the doctor will also prescribe Opana 10mg to take every four to six hours as needed for breakthrough pain. I was prescribed that way for a long time, but now choose oxycodone 30mg over the Opana 10mg because the dosage is stronger because 1mg of opana=2mg oxycodone.

Hi, I'm new here, hoping I can find some answers by real people. I have been taking 80mg oxocontin 1x12hrs., for app. 7 months, via pain clinic, they just, app., 3 weeks ago, changed my meds from that to opanaER 40mg., 1x12hrs., does anyone know the difference between the two? I have been thru hell and back with different meds, I'm at a loss, now. Any info or support would be deeply appreciated. Are the opana 40 mg ER's made to be abuse proof like the oxycontin 80mg er's? what other long acting pain meds are on the market that would compare to the oxycontin 80 mg er's? ## No, Opana is not made with the same formulation that the Oxycontin is, that was something specifically developed by Purdue Pharma, because the abuse of the Oxycontin and diversion has become such a huge and widespread problem. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, which is also a very potent narcotic and may cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: As to other time released options, there is also a time released formulation of Morphine, the name brand for it is MS Contin, though it is also available as a generic: There is also a patch that co...

I was on Opana 40 2 x daily plus 10 mg of oxymorphone hcl every 6 hrs. Since the recent changes, I have been switched to Arymo 60 2x daily and still take the 10 mg oxymorphone every 6 hrs. The Arymo does not seem to be working well. Is there something else that I can ask for that will help with the pain? I too am awake most of the night tossing and turning due to pain. The 10 of the oxymorphone does not seem to have the same effect that it used to when I first started taking it. I've been on these meds for approx. 5 years steady. Has anyone been on the generic Opana ER that is being made by Global/Impax Pharmaceuticals long enough to give an honest opinion as to how much more effective they are then Opana? My pharmacist just ordered the oxymorphone ER's for me today. I haven't gotten any relief from Opana. I take 60mg of the ER's twice a day with 3, 10mg. oxymorphone pills for breakthrough pain. I'm getting more relief from the 10mg generics then I am with the 60mg ER's. Will I be able to just take the 40mg ER's without the added 20mg ER's?
