my doctor started me on oxycotin 30 last week. I was on oxcotin 40 OC. the 30 have made me ill. I shaKE, MY MIND IS CONFUSED AND OTHER SYMPTU YMS. i HAD TO STOP THEM AFTER 3 DAYS. i HAD A STROKE aUG. 30TH. tHEY MADE ME FEEL LIKE WAS GOING TO HAVE ANTOHER STROKE. mY ARMS WERE SHAKING, THEY WOULD FALL WHEN i LIFTED THEM. i AAM VERY AFRAID OD OF OXYCOTIN 30 MG. wHAT CAN i HAVE PERSCRIBED THAT IS LONG LASTING? oXYCOTIN oc? Are this the same class meds? Same family? ## Yes, they both contain the narcotic Oxycodone. The difference is that the Percocet combines it with Acetaminophen, in the dose you mentioned it's 10mgs with 325mgs of Acetaminophen and it's a regular release formulation, while the Oxycontin contains 40mgs of Oxycodone, by itself, in a 12 hour time released formulation. i have been on both oxycotin 80mg and opana 40mg, i started off on opana and when they were changeing the ingred. i had to go on oxycotin 80 mg, i will always say opana 40 are alot stronger than oxycotin 80s i get alot more pain relief on opanas, i read all the time its 10mgs of opana to 30mgs of oxycotin i believe it.... ## Hello, Delta! I just lowered my pain medication myself....yes myself and I know people keep asking me why? Well I have severe lupus and started taking benlysta a year ago and I'm doing much better and I take 2 chemotherapy drugs Crockett and methotrexate, I would like to save my liver and kidneys if possible.....I have a 7 yr old. I have really bad back pain and I have been seeing my doctor for about three years. I have tried just about every med that there is. I finally settled with oxycodone 30mg. It has been a life saver for me. I now can work without pain. Lately, I have been experiencing it not working and that disappoints me because now I am starting to have more pain. Please help me, i do not want to hurt my unborn child and have no clue on what to do to stop taking these pills without getting horribly sick like i do. the withdrawl is soo bad, i get every single effect, its so horrible. My insurance no longer covers Oxycotin 40mg ER. I was taking it 2 x a day and also taking Oxycodone 30mg 3 x a day due to my injury. I have been taking oxycotin for 3 years with no problems. Why are the new ones making me sick to my stomach? My DR. won't be back until next week. I just don't understand why it does this do you? Have been on oxycotin 40mg 3xdaily and percocet 15 as needed. Need a doctor who will spend time with me-long medical history. Any small town area around Austin or within 100 miles. Better yet, one that (internist-GP) who can assist in my adhd meds and knows anything about dextroamphetemine sulphate and how it can reduce pain anywhere from 50-100%. A life without opiods would be amazing. Plus, I have never addressed my ADHD-refused adderall. Have tried all the holistic hippie stuff and neuro/anti-depressants to no avail. Oxycodone was 30 mg every 6 hours or prn. Oxycotin is one 20 mg every 8 hours. It stops working at 40 mg OR 20 mg at about 5 hours.I had a RouxN Y Gastric Bypass several years ago, and my metabolism is fast. Could it be that time released pill isnt working because of the compromised gastric system?I will always need pain meds due to severe double curve scoliosis. I have taken a 120 mg of oxycotin every day and I also take oxycocet for breakthru pain my regular Md tells me that I should not be able to feel pain anywhere in my body,is he right and I'm just a big baby or is he full of it. ## You are not a big baby, you are in chronic pain. I take 400 mgs of Oxycontin per day and a whole host of other drugs, including Norco and Oxycodone for BT pain. Find yourself a better Dr or Pain Clinic !
