Oxycontin With No Imprint

I have a oxy 8- that is round with no imprints on either side. It came in a blister pack professionally labeled and says it was made by Purdue Phamaceuticals and distributed by Rhodes pharmaceuticals. Can ou p;ease tell me what I have ## I came across the same thing today. Where are you from? I think they might be fake I can't find anything about them the NDC number even says they are oxy 30 but there supposed to be 80s. Am from Albuquerque,NM ## Hello, Shannon! How are you? Where were they obtained? All U.S. approved prescription tablets would have markings on them to enable their identification, in case of emergency, that is required by law. If they are from a foreign source, it may be difficult to positively identify them.

There is no imprint on in side and only a v in the other side. Is this an oxycotin 40? ## Hi kelly, What type of "V" would you describe it as? Is it cursive like the one from Vintage Pharmaceuticals? If so, their tablets are recognized for having an additional set of numbers on the pill as well; deeming this as a possible counterfeit. And please correct me if I'm wrong but judging from your description, one has to assume that it wasn't obtained from a legitimately licensed pharmacy. In such cases there are no guarantees that what you received is real, unless you were to have its contents analyzed by a lab. I got my Oxycontin (name brand) today and thought i had gotten the generic because it had OP imprinted on it instead of th regular OC imprinted on it. I ask my phamacist what was going on and he said that Oxycontin had changed their logo. I noticed the pill was slighly bigger so when i took my pill i noticed it give me heartburn really bad just like the generic did when i tried the generic. Now i am in pain, i have the heartburn, and i don't know if i will be able to hold this new formular down because i am so sick at my stomach. I found a small round pill that's sky blue with p 20 on one side and blank on the other side. The p is located over the 20. I couldn't find out what it is I googled it with no luck. Some say its oxycontin 20mg. But how do you know for sure? How can I tell if oc 80 is real? ## Hi Misti, If you could provide the imprint(s) on the tablet, along with a physical description of the pill (color, shape, etc), then I can help you determine if it's real or not. I have seen a round green 80mg Oxycodone tablet with the imprint: M 596; and another round green one with the imprint: ABG 80; and one other that is oval and green with an imprint of: 33 93. While I'm sure there are a few others out there besides these three that are 80mg doses, once you post back with more details, we can narrow down the search. I hope this helps!

As from what I can tell, no one else on this site has come across anything like it in other related threads. The OX 20 imprint just seems like a fake in my opinion, based on NIH.gov depictions of how 20mg Oxycontin should look if it was actually a legitimate Oxycontin pill. Real 20mg Oxycontin's by Purdue Pharmaceuticals are, like you said, marked with OC 20 or OP 20. Has anyone had experience with the Endo Brand Oxy? I usually take the Barnd Name only but they were out. Round blue pill scored on one side and 422 on the other side ## Hi Judith, Unfortunately I haven't located any specific details on an Oxycontin marked with 442, but I think it's possible that you may have gotten the imprint backwards. From what I could gather, a round blue pill that is scored on one side and has 224 on the other is identified as Oxycodone 30mgs with a National Drug Code of 57664-0224. For additional verification, the tablet itself is approximately 8mm in size. I have a blue round pill that has an R on the top and 215 on the bottom. I cannot remember if it is my Oxycontin or the generic for it.
