so basically the new oxycontin have OP on the side of them , is that how to tell the difference ? is there a way to take out the filler ## No, the new Oxycontin OP has been specifically designed to prevent people from doing just that. They are trying to curtail abuse of the medication. It is, however, still supposed to work the same and can cause the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Do you have any other questions? ## the new reformulated drug oxycontin op does not have the same effects and pain relief that the oxycontin oc brand has.what should i do?I am on oxycontin 80 oc mg. ## Its not reformulated . And its the same molecular structure as the o.c. you were probably abusing the o.c. which made them into instant release. ## Verwon, the questioner specified OC, NOT OP. The answer is that if you want a SOLUTION which will be instantly available to t...

is oxycontin oc still available through any other maker ## No! The only company that makes it is Purdue Pharma and they have discontinued the original product and now only manufacture the new formulation, Oxycontin OP. If you are having a problem with the new formulation, the only thing I can suggest is reporting it to both Purdue and the FDA at the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Have you spoken to your doctor about a possible alternative medication?

I recently was told by my pharmacist that oxycontin8o mg.O.C. was no longer available thru Perdue. Perdue reformulated the medication and noe has O.P. instead of O.C>on the pill. This new formulation is very upsetting to my stomach. Please advise. ## There are a few pharmacies that still have the original product available, but this will only be until their supplies run out. Your pharmacist is correct, Purdue has changed the formulation and is no longer making the original product. There have been many complaints that it does not work as well as the original and about it causing unusual side effects. Since you are experiencing more nausea, you should report this to both Purdue and the FDA. You can do so at the following phone numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication ...

I want to know if they still make the pain medication Oxycontin in the 80mg dosage? ## I was wondering if they still make the pain medication Oxycontin in 80mg dosage? ## Yes, Purdue Pharma still manufactures Oxycontin in this dosage. I have, however, heard that many pharmacies do not keep it in stock, due to the risk of theft. It is also only available in their new formulation, with the OP marking on the tablets, rather than the original OC. This new product has been specially made to help prevent abuse. It is supposed to have the same side effects as the original, which may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments?

cannot find 80mg oxycontins. The new ones get me sick.(OP)s Do you have the generic available? ## First, this is an information only website, we do no manufacture, now sell anything. And second there is no generic of Oxycontin available on the market, any longer. All Oxycontin tablets that are on the market are manufactured by Purdue, using the same process and fomulation, which is why they also have the same markings. Even the ones provided by Ethex, if you were to find them at a pharmacy, are manufactured by Purdue and have the same markings, they are just a licensed distributor for Purdue. As long as they still had a supply of the original Oxycontin with the OC marking, they were allowed to continue to sell them, however, once they ran out, they also had no choice, but to distribute t...

green oval 80 on one side ex on other ## The pills with the marking of EX 80 were actually a time released formulation of Oxycodone from Mexico and they have been discontinued and were illegal to have in the U.S. In the U.S. the only product that is now available is the new Oxycontin OP, the reformulation from Purdue. Are there any questions or comments? ## where can i get oc 80s in minnesota ## I live in Southeast Georgia and recently in last 2 years it has gotten harder and harder to find a Dr. in Georgia that prescribes oxycodone 30s or 15s and Dilaudid 4s & 8s. Does anybody know of a Dr. in Georgia that will prescribe me either oxycodone or Dilaudid at current date. I am extremely grateful for any help and advice. Thanks

The UK still use the oc not op ones well the do where i am living the manufacture pp NAPP PHARMACEUTICALS LTD if that helps anyone i take the immediate release and long release for chronic Panc pain but had to come off them when i was pregnant so i know how some of u feel when u come down off them even if i don't agree but each to their own x ## Thank you, lovely, for providing this information, we've have many people have problems with the new Oxycontin formulation. However, importing a medication into the U.S. that has an available equivalent is considered illegal, under the U.S. drug laws, so obtaining it this way could be problematic for some people. If you are traveling and it is prescribed there, you can bring in a 3 months supply, but otherwise, you risk the medication be...

a want to see what a oxycontin 80 op & co brand and genic picture, as well as this pill i found on the ground outside in my yard & I have a 13 yr. son it looks like the following description as follow's ## I don't have a picture to post for you. However, both the original Oxycontin and the new Oxycontin OP are round, light green tablets. They both have the number 80 on one side, then the original has OC on the opposite and the new product has OP on the opposite side. As to a generic, there is no generic of the Oxycontin available. There have been many legal battles about it and the one company that had legal right to distribute it, let their contract expire last year. If there are different markings on the pill you have, it could still be Oxycodone, but in a different fo...

I heard that all the pharmacy replaced all the original oxycontin (OC) with this new formula that prevents anyone from crushing it. The new pills says OP on the one side instead of it saying OC. And if you still can get the original oxycontin (OC) do you now need to request it from your doctor so he can write you a prescription for the original oxycontin (the pill that says OC on one side instead of it saying OP ## The original Oxycontin has been discontinued and will no longer be available. Once pharmacies are out of their current stock, there will not longer be a supply of it out there. The new Oxycontin OP has been specially designed to prevent abuse, by retaining its time released properties, even if crushed or chewed. Otherwise, for pain, it works the same and still has the same si...

10 oc ## Please help! Found a tannish maybe peachish small round pill, it seems to have more of a smooth coated texture then powdery, with what looks like a 10 on one side and a oc on the other. It was near where kids were brushing teeth in mom in laws bathroom! They said they didn't touch it, but still worried! We don't know what it is! ## This is an older Oxycontin tablet, which contains 10mgs of Oxycodone in a time released formulation, tablets with this marking are no longer available on the U.S. market. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Even if they did touch it, it would not cause any harm, it would have to be ingested to cause any issues. However, in the...

Many countries in Europe (such as Bard for UK and Mundi Pharma of Germany, Austria, Italy, and Napp) still make the original formula OC 20, OC 40 and the OC 80. That has been the case for me since 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016. I do not know about the future... If Europe changed from OC to embossed OP on the Oxycontin, I will be forced to try USA Roxicodone 30 mg I/R and have to deal with the notorious Pain Management Clinics, as a last resort. I pray I do not have to go that route. I am a USA citizen, and it gets more difficult by the year to obtain OxyContin outside the USA in the 1996 Purdue original formula; and the price has risen dramatically, "from my medical providers, from Europe". ## THE dea & the government needs to feel the pain we die with daily, so they can see ho...

was getting 0xy 80s oc on one side of green pill 80 on the other now its op/80 i hear they are once again making OC/80 is this true or false ## It is false, so far Purdue has announced no plans to switch back and start manufacturing the original formula, again. It was still available, in some areas, where larger pharmacy chains and/or hospitals had laid in a large supply of it, but once they exhausted their supply, they were also forced to switch to the new formulation with the OP marking. Are you also having a problem with the new product? ## I believe they are, I just had given up on the op 80s an felt that the crushable oc 80s would never return but today I came across a pill with E 710 on one side and a 80 on the other. I looked it up and it was oxy cotin 80mg I had just got in the ...
