What is the color? ## OXYCODONE 60 MG IS RED. OXY 80 MG IS GREEN. PERCOCET 15 = YELLOW, AND XANAX 1.0 IS PURPLE FOOTBALL SHAPED. THESE ARE JUST THE GENERICS MY PHARMACY DISPENSES, AND THEY CAN BE DIFFERENT COLORS FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS. ## I stopped 8mgs of subutex or bupenorphine, 3 days ago. I took it for 6 months. My sub doc gave me two 20mg of oxycontin per day to help with the withdrawal. I have not felt any withdrawal. I need to get the subutex out of my body because it has made me very sick. PF one side 80 other ## Any body know a doctor that will perscribe 80 mg oxycontin. I suffered nerve damage in my leg and also my right arm. I cannot feel anything but pain. It has almost come to the point as to where I can not sleep at night so when I wake up to go to work. I am extremely tired cause I can't sleep due to the pain. I am very worried that if I don't do something about it. I might get fired because I can't even stand for more than a couple minutes before the pain becomes so unbearable. how can I get my doctor to prescribe 160 mg oxycontin? ## There are no 160mg Oxycontin tablets, the maximum available is 80mgs, so you could only total 160mgs in a day, taking them every 12 hours. And, unless you have a possibly terminal condition that causes intractable pain, such as stage 4 cancer, it is highly unlikely that any doctor will prescribe the maximum dosage, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness, headache and constipation. is there a red 80 mg oxycontin capsule ## There are no Oxycontin capsules, Oxycontin is a time released formulation of the narcotic Oxycodone and the time release form is only available as tablets, which are manufactured by Purdue Pharma. The original tablets had the marking of OC on one side and 80 on the other, while the new replaces the OC with the letters OP, they are both round and green. In addition, the only 80mg dosage available in the time released, with the markings that I mentioned above. Are there any other questions or comments?

If they are still sealed in the original factory bottle, then they are good for 3 years from the date of manufacture. However, if that bottle has been opened, so they are exposed to the elements that cause degradation, it drops to one year from then. Other odd storage conditions would hasten the degradation, for instance if you were storing them in a plastic bag in a purse or backpack, because that could allow more moisture to build up. Greetings! Just returned from my regular pharmacy where I have been getting my O.C. 80's for years. Today my pharmacist told me that there is now a generic for my Oxy. She told me that because of the cost difference my insurance co. is demanding that I get the generic but the store won't have the generic in stock fot two to three days. been on oxycontin for 4 years and is not working as well since they switched formula ## There have been many complaints about this. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is actually stronger than Oxycodone, requiring just half the dose. So, if you were taking 80mgs of Oxycontin, you would need just 40mgs of Opana. Since it is a narcotic, the side effect profile is basically the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. As simple was 6.67 per hour for 12 hours? ## Hi joe, According to a .gov article I found on the absorption of Oxycontin, the tablet itself is considered to be 'biphasic', which means that it is being dispensed in two different phases. The initial release is said to be approx. 40% of the active ingredient; which provides an onset of pain relieving effects within one hour for most patients. At this point, it is followed by a second more controlled release that carries out the remaining duration of effects. pinkish-mauve in color with a single line marking it in half,alittle smaller and thinner than an 80 mg oxycontin ## I cannot tell you anything about it unless you provide the markings from the tablet, that is what identifies it, not the size and color. Hello~I'm on oxy 80's and dilaudid 4mgs which are prescribed for back pain. The oxys alone don't help at all. I get dilaudids tomorrow, but will be out of oxys.
