PF one side 80 other ## Any body know a doctor that will perscribe 80 mg oxycontin. I suffered nerve damage in my leg and also my right arm. I cannot feel anything but pain. It has almost come to the point as to where I can not sleep at night so when I wake up to go to work. I am extremely tired cause I can't sleep due to the pain. I am very worried that if I don't do something about it. I might get fired because I can't even stand for more than a couple minutes before the pain becomes so unbearable. So if any one knows a doctor that can help please let me know. I just moved to San Diego and don't know anybody which is why I am here. Hope to hear from someone soon. ## Oxycontin contains the active ingredient Oxycodone in a 12 hour time released formulation. This is a ver...

is there a way to take out the filler ## No, the new Oxycontin OP has been specifically designed to prevent people from doing just that. They are trying to curtail abuse of the medication. It is, however, still supposed to work the same and can cause the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Do you have any other questions? ## the new reformulated drug oxycontin op does not have the same effects and pain relief that the oxycontin oc brand has.what should i do?I am on oxycontin 80 oc mg. ## Its not reformulated . And its the same molecular structure as the o.c. you were probably abusing the o.c. which made them into instant release. ## Verwon, the questioner specified OC, NOT OP. The answer is that if you want a SOLUTION which will be instantly available to t...

how can I get my doctor to prescribe 160 mg oxycontin? ## There are no 160mg Oxycontin tablets, the maximum available is 80mgs, so you could only total 160mgs in a day, taking them every 12 hours. And, unless you have a possibly terminal condition that causes intractable pain, such as stage 4 cancer, it is highly unlikely that any doctor will prescribe the maximum dosage, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year. This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness, headache and constipation. What dosage do you currently take? ## YES there IS 160mg Oxycontin! LOL

is there a red 80 mg oxycontin capsule ## There are no Oxycontin capsules, Oxycontin is a time released formulation of the narcotic Oxycodone and the time release form is only available as tablets, which are manufactured by Purdue Pharma. The original tablets had the marking of OC on one side and 80 on the other, while the new replaces the OC with the letters OP, they are both round and green. In addition, the only 80mg dosage available in the time released, with the markings that I mentioned above. Are there any other questions or comments?

How long do original OxyContin 80 mg tablets with OC and 80 prints potency last? ## Hello, Snappy! How are you? If they are still sealed in the original factory bottle, then they are good for 3 years from the date of manufacture. However, if that bottle has been opened, so they are exposed to the elements that cause degradation, it drops to one year from then. Other odd storage conditions would hasten the degradation, for instance if you were storing them in a plastic bag in a purse or backpack, because that could allow more moisture to build up. Or if they were store in a bathroom medicine chest, where it regularly gets damp and steamy. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth ...

Greetings! Just returned from my regular pharmacy where I have been getting my O.C. 80's for years. Today my pharmacist told me that there is now a generic for my Oxy. She told me that because of the cost difference my insurance co. is demanding that I get the generic but the store won't have the generic in stock fot two to three days. This sounds fishy as I have not heard anything about a generic O.C. Has anyone else run into anything like this? Thanks.....Dennis ## Hello, Dennis! How are you? I know originally, they did away with the generics, due to the fact that there were far too many on the market and it made it hard to keep track of the supply to prevent theft and diversion. However, from what I'm currently reading generics have been recently approved from Actavis and...

been on oxycontin for 4 years and is not working as well since they switched formula ## There have been many complaints about this. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is actually stronger than Oxycodone, requiring just half the dose. So, if you were taking 80mgs of Oxycontin, you would need just 40mgs of Opana. Since it is a narcotic, the side effect profile is basically the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. I came across some green pills that look like OC 80's but they are imprinted with APO on one side and OCD 80 on the other. Can someone please tell me what they might be? ## I have tha same ones. I heard there generic oxy contin 80mg. Not sure I would like to know aswel. ## From what I could gather, this pill is in fact confirmed to be controlled release Oxycodone/Oxycontin (80mg). The paragraph quoted below describes it in more detail: "APO-OXYCODONE CR 80 mg: Each tablet contains 80 mg oxycodone hydrochloride. Green, round, biconvex film-coated tablets, engraved “APO†on one side, “OCD†over “80†on the other side. Available in bottles of 50 and 100 tablets." Manufacturer: Apotex, Cana...

I NEED TO KNOW THE OVER THE COUNTER PHARMACY PRICE OF 80 MG OXYCONTIN TIME RELEASE ## Oxycontin is a prescription only medication, since it contains a very potent narcotic, which is Oxycodone, therefore it can't be purchased over the counter. It requires a doctor's prescription. In addition, there is no set price. It is going to vary from pharmacy to pharmacy and depending on the amount of tablets required to fill the prescription. There is no generic, so it can be pretty expensive. Are there any other questions or comments? ## Do you mean cash price? You want to pay for your prescription without using insurance? meaning you have a written prescription from the doctor for the 80mg OxyContin.... If this is the case this med is disgustingly expensive.... For 20 pills in NY it is a...

How is the medication released. As simple was 6.67 per hour for 12 hours? ## Hi joe, According to a .gov article I found on the absorption of Oxycontin, the tablet itself is considered to be 'biphasic', which means that it is being dispensed in two different phases. The initial release is said to be approx. 40% of the active ingredient; which provides an onset of pain relieving effects within one hour for most patients. At this point, it is followed by a second more controlled release that carries out the remaining duration of effects. Page 1 in the link below offers more specific details on the pharmacokinetics of it: medsafe.govt.nz/profs/datasheet/o/OxyContintab.pdf I hope this helps!

80 OP ## I do not have a picture to post for you, but the tablet should be round, light green and have the 80 on one side and OP on the other. This is the new Oxycontin OP, which has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there op 80s that are red? Given a op 80 just making sure its an 80 mg ## Hello, Jay! How are you? In the U.S., the 80mg Oxycontin tablets are green. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What are the markings on the tablet in question?

my Dr prescribed Opana 40mg as alternative to Oxy 80 mg 2 twice a day which I would insufflate - I didn't tell him this of course. he claimed them to be just as good if not stronger can any one share about opana 40mg ## Inhaling medications that are not intended for that method of usage is very dangerous. You run the risk of overdose and creating blockages in your lungs, which can lead to breathing problems, embolisms and stroke. Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone, this is a potent narcotic pain reliever. Side effects can include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. THis dosage is about the same as what you were taking of the Oxycontin. Do you have any other questions? ## i was taking three oc 40's a day, when the new op 40's came out they seemed to...

pinkish-mauve in color with a single line marking it in half, alittle smaller and thinner than an 80 mg oxycontin ## I cannot tell you anything about it unless you provide the markings from the tablet, that is what identifies it, not the size and color. Can you please post back with this information? ## There are NO other markings except the line down the middle on one side of the pill.

Hello~I'm on oxy 80's and dilaudid 4mgs which are prescribed for back pain. The oxys alone don't help at all. I get dilaudids tomorrow, but will be out of oxys. Does anyone know if the dilaudid alone will help? Thanks ## How did it work? Did you get any pain relief? Dilaudid contains the active ingredient Hydromorphone, which is very potent, but if you've been taking 80mgs of the Oxycodone, then you'd need 30mgs of it to be equivalent for analgesia. Learn more Dilaudid details here. Learn more Oxycodone details here. ## Hey! I sort of figured out the conversion and was taking 30 mg. or more of Dilaudid a day. I continue to be in around the clock pain. I believe I need to take the Oxycontin and Dilaudid in conjunction with one another. Thanks for responding! ## 10 MGS...
