Oxycontin 20mg Op

I have been on Oxycontin for 3 years. I am not stupid, I did not ask the doc to keep increasing my meds, I would decide to stop taking them for a two week on and two week off if I could. I am in chronic pain,my life has been altered to the degree I cannot walk without assistance any distance. I do walk into a store that has carts to push. Two back surgeries, the type of back that just keeps getting worse, had I not had the surgery I think I could have controlled the pain with Vicodan and Advil. But the doc. said I had to have the surgery. then the 2nd one did me in.It is a reputable doc who has done many surgeries, my opinion he wanted the money because this is when they discovered surgery was making things worse more than better. OMG I felt like I was being posioned. I have taken OC for 3 years now, it has made my life managable. I suffer from severe chronic pain. I started taking the new OP 20mg on Friday 3X daily. After the 2nd dose I felt sick to stomach I did not relate it to pill, After 2nd day I felt like I was going to die. Could not eat or drink or sleep. Had chills like withdrawal symptoms. Day 3 throwing up, stopped taking the pills. Two days have past I now take the Opana, as soon as I started taking the Opana my symptoms were subsiding. i just want to know if it's a oxycontin or not! ## If what is Oxycontin? Can you post back with more information, such as a description of and the markings on the tablet in question? A 20mg Oxycontin tablet from the U.S. would be manufactured by Purdue Pharma and it would have either an OC or an OP on one side, with a 20 on the other. Both of them are pink and round.

Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is actually stronger than Oxycodone. If you were taking 40mgs of Oxycontin, you would only need 20mgs of the Opana. Has anyone else noticed that OxyContin 20mg wears off before 12 hours? I'm waiting for the extended relief pain meds to take effect and it doesn’t last for 12 hours. ## They’ve never lasted 12 hours since they were brought to market. That was how they flooded the streets. Doctors knew they didn’t last 12 hours so they would prescribe an extra here and there. Now I think they give people oxycodone for break through pain. ## They destroyed Oxycontin in 2009 with the rock hard polymer that was added to create the worthless OP version that works maybe 5 to 8 hours if you're lucky. I am in pain management and I currently take oxy 30mg 3x's a day... my doctor is willing to switch me to something else if I want, since the oxys do not provide enough relief. when I asked her what kind of dose I would start at the only thing she would match mg for mg would be morphine..opana she will only start me at 20mg 2 per day. does anyone know if this would be equal to the oxy I take now?? 20mg Oxycontin OP doesn't seem to work as well for me. I take it 3 times a day with 15mg oxycodone breakthru. Can anyone suggest a replacement for the 20mg's. Would a 15mg oxycodone and a 5 mg oxycodone work as well. I been on all types of opiates and in some cases really high doses. now I'm back down to a reasonable dose of pain meds long acting oxy an 15mg 4aday Roxy ir for breakthrough. I'm supposed to have it in my system around the clock so the oxy 12hr med is not working at all it seems to me. Hi..I am currently taking OxyContin 20mg 3xdaily, Percocet, Zanaflex, Neurontin & Trazodone for the chronic pain that I've been suffering for for over 13 years. It's a debilitating illness (RSD/CRPS) and has only gotten worse over time. Now it effects every single part of my body. I have never been on oxycontin before but just recently got prescribed 20mg of it. I have taken dilaudid, morphine, and oxycodone pills before though. So I've been keeping my eyes open for the new oxycontin generic to come out since Purdue lost it's patent. But for the longest time nothing emerged, no company was coming forward with a oxycontin substitute. I just saw that Teva brand has made a Oxycontin generic FINALLY. But I can't confirm a couple of things. First is how long has this generic been available? 2nd is I'm getting conflicting info on if they only make the 80mg pill or I'm seeing they make the 10mg, 20mg, 40mg and 80mg (NO 30's and NO 60's)!! I used to take oxycontin (all where white) for years without any problem, Just started taking them again in dosage of 20mg. I have terrible stomach aches and mouth sores which my entire tounge is starting to turn white. It is painful on my tounge and in my throat and ears. If I scrape it off it bleeds.
