Pain relief needed. Do they make a oxycodone patch, or something similar besides fentanyl? I used fentanyl for about 5 years. They made the patch sites itch and left welts and even though I was given meds to help when I stopped using them I was still pretty sick for a couple weeks. ## Unfortunately, no. However, there is a time released oral formulation of Oxycodone that lasts for 12 hours, it is available under the brand name Oxycodone, there are also other time released medications available, such as the Butrans patch, and Zohydro. The FDA warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Your doctor should be able to help you figure out which would be safest for you to try. Are you on an...

Oxycodone is yesterday's news, get over it!!!! You all need to stop crying, and face fact's, Roxyies are gone!!! Don't dispare, Zohydro Er just got approved by, Money,Lobbyist, and the DEA. Packs 10 time the punch of Roxies!! My neurologist of 12 year's said I'll have my Rx's for Zohydro next month, and yes, there water soluble. I'm missing 4 disc's in my lower back, and can't get them replaced because of the FDA., won't allow more than one disc's installed in USA., and Busted Cross & Broken Shield of FL. won't pay for having them installed in Europe so I'm must save my pennies up since it will cost me $250,000 to have done in Europe! Which I will do! Google Zohydro, if you think I'm kidding, Best of luck trying to keep getting...

My best friend is trying to go to a weaker medicine but we're not as educated as we wish we were. Which one is stronger, xtampza er or zohydro 40 mg? ## The Xtampza ER is stronger, it contains Oxycodone, 6.7mgs of it is equivalent to 10mgs of the Hydrocodone in the Zohydro. The FDA warns that both medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. What medication(s) is he currently taking?

Has anyone taken 10 mg hydrocodone tabs 1to 3 tabs at once to help with your pain. I want to know what I can expect in the strength of 10 mg er once taken . Is it the same as 1 hydro or much stronger ? I have some breathing issues taking 10 mg OxyContin but not with 15 -30 mg. IR 30 mg oxycodone. ## The FDA considers oxy and hydro to be morphine equivalents, but some feel oxy is stronger. Zohydro is a 12hr er med. Depending on how often you were taking oxy, to replace a 10mg er dose your doc would probably start you at 15mg or 20mg Zo and adjust from there. A problem with taking three ir norco doses at once is that each dose usually has 325mg of acetaminophen. While many docs feel that up to three grams of acetaminophen a day not a problem, it serves to analgesic purpose for real pain a...

This is to answer the question is there a higher dose form of norco the answer is yes it's called Zohydro it was made here in San Diego and has been approved by the Fda and Sea but it might be hard to find and the insurance company might not cover it, it's and extended version kinda like oxycontin for oxycodone and it comes in different doses. Fact not fiction. ## Just to clarify, Zohydro only contains Hydrocodone, in a time released formulation. It does not contain Acetaminophen, like Norco does. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any questions or concerns? ## verwon you are just right as for the side effects but it comes in dosage as l...

How are you? Yes, you should inform your doctor, but they'll likely balk if you ask for a specific medication, since that's viewed as drug seeking behavior. It would be best to let them suggest something. However, if the Oxycontin is working well for you, there is no need to switch, there are higher doses of it available that you can try. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to ...

I have diverticulitis is there anything I can take that does not contain acetaminophen for pain ## Hello, Missy! How are you? Yes, there are many available that don't contain Acetaminophen. Some examples in the opiate category include Oxycodone, Zohydro, Dilaudid, Morphine and Opana. The FDA classifies these mediations as narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. All of these require a prescription from your doctor, plus there are also non-narcotic options you can discuss with them. Is there anything else I can help with?

my primary Dr. who i trust a lot told me there was such a thing as 80mg of hydrocodone with no acetaminophen in it and that i shouldn't be taking any acetaminophen because it is causing my liver to be damaged even more than it is. i suffer from severe pain daily and need my pain killers to help manage my pain. I have never heard of 80 mgs of hydro's and would like to know if this is correct before i go and ask my pain management doctor about this. i need to know if this is correct,or that he messed up and meant is say that the are 80mgs of oxycodone with no acetaminophen. please clarify for me. ## Yes it is called Zohydro. Straight hydrocone minus the tylenol ## Post #1 is correct. 80mgs of hydrocodone does exist. I just wanted to add that Zohydro is an extended release version ...

I have been on these for 12 to about 15 years now and for the past couple years now they don't seem to ease my pain any. I also take 800mg ibuprofen with something to protect ur stomach. I've only been on them 2/3 years. I'm sure my body laughs at me when i take the 10/325. Is there something close without taking acetaminophen? I'm 50 and i have taken acetaminophen forever. I'm afraid one day it will mess up my liver. I'm not a heavy drinker. Please help so i can talk with my doctor. Thank you. ## There are quite a few other medications available without Acetaminophen, such as Zohydro, Oxycodone, Morphine, Opana, and Dilaudid. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache...

Hello..I have Crps type 2 and take Norco 10/325....Is there any other pain med that DOES NOT CONTAIN TYLENOL that would work for me,, esp since I like my Liver and want to keep it as long as possible without killing it from Tylenol....Thank You ## Hello, Stevarino! How are you? Yes, there are quite a few other options that don't contain Acetaminophen/Tylenol that you can ask your doctor about, including Oxycodone, Morphine, Dilaudid and a new version of time released Hydrocodone without the Acetaminophen called Zohydro. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I also suffer from CRPS both knees. Wanted to let you k...
