I found a small orange pill with no markings or score marks in my boyfriends pocket. A buddy of his told me it was an oxy 40 but I can't find this anywhere. Can anyone tell me if that's what it is or if it's something else? ## If this really was an "Oxy 40" as his buddy claimed, my understranding is that they would not be from the US (unless they're counterfeit). The FDA requires all prescription drugs to bear an imprint/marking of some sort for identification. Without this, my guess is that it's probably fake or foreign (assuming it's actually Oxycodone), or an OTC med/supplement... Have you considered discussing this with your boyfriend to see if his story lines up with what you were told by his 'buddy'?

If you wish to know what this pill is, you will have to post back and provide the imprint from the tablet. The colors mean NOTHING so we cannot tell you any information from what you have provided.

What pill is this? What is it for and can it be used as a recreational drug ## Hi J, This pill was a tough one to find, but fortunately another user was trying to identify this same pill and can confirm that it is a 60mg Generic Oxycotin tablet. I found several small, round, orange pills in the cabinet under my sink today. The letters "OP" are printed on one side, and the number "40" is printed on the other side. A friend said they were a generic oxycontin pill that was time released. Is this accurate? What is the proper dosage for this medication? Thank you for your help. ## This is not a generic, since there isn't a generic for Oxycontin, this is the name brand and they are 40mg tablets, the ones with the OP marking are the new formulation that has been made to help prevent abuse.
