the capsule i saw had no imprints or colored lines separating the red and blue.... was this an authentic oxycodone 30??? ## If there were no imprints, then it wasn't a legal, manufactured Oxycodone from the U.S. They are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. The only way a capsule containing Oxycodone wouldn't have imprints, would be if a doctor specially ordered a certain dosage and combination of the medication, which had to be done by a compounding pharmacy. In those cases, the capsules are also usually clear, not red and blue. Are there any other questions? ## I just got the same thing. I have seen all kinds of oxycodone but not this ## Hi Sandradee, There actually are red and white capsules containing Oxycodone; but not in a 30mg dosage. These capsules also contain Acetaminophen. The dosage I've seen for these specific pills are: Acetaminophen (500mg) + Oxycodone (5mg). Additionally, for verification, the national drug codes for these red and white capsules are: 00054-2795 and 00591-0737. Did you get this pill off the street by chance? That may explain a few things. Red/white capsule with [M] 532 ## This capsule contains 500mgs of Acetaminophen and 5mgs of Oxycodone, This is a narcotic pain reliever, a generic for Tylox, Percocet and others. Some of the most common side effects include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## I was taking 5mg oxycodone in tablet form and it worked o.k. I was given a blue and white capsule with white powder in it with NO IMPRINTING AT ALL on it and said it was a 30mg oxycodone. Is this possible?? Can a compounding pharmacy do this? ## Short answer: Yes, as long as the physician prescribed and there is a specific need for it to be compounded. That being said...I would be very cautious and inquire as to WHY they are compounding 30mg oxy as capsules instead of using the commercially produced tablets. I myself am a pharmacist and do many different types of compounding- mostly in the pain sector. and the only time I compound oxycodone is to combine it with either something for nausea (common side effect) or low dose ibuprofen or acetaminophen, or in combo with something to reduce/prevent constipation. 30 mg oxycodone in red and white capsule with no marking ## There are no 30mg Oxycodone capsules available on the U.S. prescription market that don't have markings, they are all required to have markings to enable their identification. Learn more Oxycodone details here. The only way you would get an Oxycodone capsule here that wouldn't have a marking would either be due to it being a foreign medication, or if it is a dosage that was specially ordered by a doctor and made by a compounding pharmacy. If the latter is the case, then they wouldn't do a 30mg capsule, because that dosage doesn't need to be specially made. Where was it found?

are they better, are they only orally taken ## There is no capsule shaped, red, time released Oxycodone on the U.S. market. It is only available as the name brand and the 30mg tablet is a round, brown tablet, with either an OC, or an OP on one side and the number 30 on the other. What are the markings on the tablet you have? And yes, all such tablets should only be taken orally.

This is a confusion of the names of two different brand name medications; Percocet, which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and Roxicodone, which just contains Oxycodone. The Oxycodone is a narcotic and can cause side effects such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can you provide the imprint from the capsules? is there a red 80 mg oxycontin capsule ## There are no Oxycontin capsules, Oxycontin is a time released formulation of the narcotic Oxycodone and the time release form is only available as tablets, which are manufactured by Purdue Pharma. The original tablets had the marking of OC on one side and 80 on the other, while the new replaces the OC with the letters OP, they are both round and green. In addition, the only 80mg dosage available in the time released, with the markings that I mentioned above. Are there any other questions or comments?
