M 595 ## This tablet contains 40mgs of Oxycodone CR, a generic for Oxycontin. This is a narcotic analgesic. Some of the most common side effects include: drowsiness, nausea, dry mouth and constipation. ## Okay,I remember the football shaped generic oxycontin and they did not work near as well as the name brand. My doctor agrees with that and told me 2 years ago that generic oc will be coming off the shelves because of their ineffectivness. Now, we have a new generic, the M 595, where do these line up in comparison to the name brand and the discontinued football shaped ones? also ABG or AGB, I forget, has a generic OC on the market, ,,they work very well. Do the M 595's work as well,,please advise if you or anyone can. thank you ## I have not used them, nor heard from anyone who has,...

I was on Oxy Ir 5, taken off market, then put on oxycodone capsule tan brown, now they are not avaliable, substituted 5mg QLT. do not work. are all of the capsule..even 15mg off market? what is still avaliable? ## I too was on the capsules and now my pharmacy can no longer get them and I have been switched to tablets. Part of the FDA's war on drugs. The only war is being waged on chronic pain sufferers. ## I agree with the effectiveness of OXIR - I was never told that it was not available, but instead the tablet was a substitution. Does anyone know if the capsules have been permanently discontinued?? If so, I shall have to switch to another medication. Very sad for those of us trying to live with chronic/acute debilitating pain. Thanks!! ## i had shoulder surgery and was given oxy 5...

white oblong capsule 0145 ## I uderstand that Oxycodone 5mg capsules made by Midlothi have been pulled off the market and have not been approved by the FDA ? Is this true ? I just had a script filled at RiteAide and this is what they gave me ? I questioned them not being the same as the one that I have been receiving for the past 5 years and they said they were OK just a different manufacture ? Help ???? ## I haven't heard anything about their being pulled from the market and that is what these capsules contain, 5mgs of Oxycodone. Have you asked your pharmacist? They will be happy to discuss it with you. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Read more:

Walmart has been getting the green 10/325 oxycodone is there any difference from the oblong white 10/325? I have been getting those at Walmart and now they have changed it. ## Hello, Patti! How are you? When a medication is available as a generic, it is usually manufactured by several different companies, the FDA has done this to try to create market competition to help keep prices down. As a result, which one your pharmacy carries may change, at any given time, depending on who was offering the cheapest price, when they needed to restock their supply. Without knowing the markings on it, I can only theorize, but my best guess is that they have just been manufactured by a different company. However, if you post back with the markings, I will be happy to double check for you to be sure. T...

I have been on the green actavis and they are the best you can get at Walgreens. However u might as well get use to it oxycodone we like for pain relief is going off the market. You better move where marijuana is legal and then tell those drug companies to take the crap. If the meds doesn't help relieve our pain we don't need pain clinic or physicians for pain management period and we don't need Walgreens either. We fight back by depending on God our real physician who heals any illness. Medical marijuana works good to give us a quality of life. Meds cause us sickness. ## I just recently posted about the new so called oxycodone that amounts to crap and is causing many innocent people to suffer in pain. We the people do not have to sit around and take this, we are going to pu...

i was told by my pharm that they are takeing anything oxycontin off market stopping all together also heard end of year supplys ran out jan willbe back on market is any of this true ## No, I am not aware of Oxycodone being completely removed from the market, nor can I find any information on it when I do a search, or check the FDA site. We have had other users that have had problems finding it, but I also cannot find any listings on the FDA site about their being a shortage. Did they provide any other details? ## I live.in tampa and was just called by my pharmacy yesterday bc my monthly.dr appt is next week. The pharmacist informed me.of the same thing. Their distributor is out or met their allotment.for oxys for the year. She is trying to find different distributor but being told by al...

I need to know where to fill my script in Jacksonville Fla. ## Sorry to hear about your situation. From what I've recently read from others under similar circumstances, there are 'rumors' going around that Oxycodone in all its forms are gradually being taken off the market by the FDA. This would explain why very few people are having success finding a pharmacy to fill it; especially in Florida. I haven't found any official announcements that verify this claim, but I think the vast number of people unable to fill their scripts speaks for itself in many ways. Have you talked to your doctor about this? I'm not sure he or she would continue prescribing something if it can't ever be filled. Otherwise I would just suggest asking for a different prescription altogether....

I just moved to ATL from AZ for new job. Ive been on these meds for years. My DOC is well a wear of how pharmacy's are not stocking this med. ## Just moved to Atlc for a new job and cant find a pharmacy to phill my script. Ibex neen taking this med for years. In AZ I never had this pronlem. My doc is a wear off the issue. Thanks you, ## Have you discussed the possibility, with your doctor, of perhaps trying something else? There are Morphine tablets available on the market in all the same formulations as Oxycodone, in name brands and generics. If you are taking 30mgs of Oxycodone, then you would require 45mgs of the Morphine to be equivalent. Another question is, how are you shopping around for the prescription? If you are just calling the pharmacies, they will usually not give you ...

Anyone know about a green and yellow capsule? Supposed to be 31mg, oxycodone, capsule has NO markings ## How would you even know that it's supposed to be oxycodone to begin with, if there are no markings to identify the substance or manufacturer? There are probably hundreds of different supplements on the market (both otc and prescription/ domestic and internationally made) that are yellow and green capsules. If you bought them from an overseas pharmacy or off the street somewhere, all you can do is decide whether or not it's worth trusting who you got it from. I'm sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I just don't see how it can be a legitimate pill, unless it's made in a foreign country that doesn't require imprints like they do here in the US.

I have heard that oxycodone IR will no longer be on the market in the U.S. - Is this true? Someone said they heard on the news that oxycodone immediate release 30mg tablets will be off the market within 6 months and I'm just wondering if anyone else has been told this as well? ## No, not that I am aware of in anything I've read recently. And I doubt the veracity of this claim from the person that stated it due to one major reason, that being that there is no 30mg Oxycodone IR, so that is not the way it would have been presented on the news. The instant release is only available as a 5mg capsule. Anything stronger than that is either the regular released formulation, or the time released formulation. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and ma...

Has anyone else noticed that OxyContin 20mg wears off before 12 hours? I'm waiting for the extended relief pain meds to take effect and it doesn’t last for 12 hours. ## They’ve never lasted 12 hours since they were brought to market. That was how they flooded the streets. Doctors knew they didn’t last 12 hours so they would prescribe an extra here and there. Now I think they give people oxycodone for break through pain. ## They destroyed Oxycontin in 2009 with the rock hard polymer that was added to create the worthless OP version that works maybe 5 to 8 hours if you're lucky. Once the pill gets past the proton pumps in your stomach nothing will metabolize the pill any further... Prudue knew this, but no one cared how the pill worked just as long as drug addict...

The percoset 30's I hear are getting ready to go off the market...is that true if so what are they replacing it with???also I hear all the rest of percoset are getting taking off the shelves...if so what it is it going to be replaced by some time release BS??? ## There is no 30mg Percocet, which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. Are you referring to medications that contain just Oxycodone, by itself? So far, I haven't found anything stating that any particular dosages or formulations are being pulled off the market. The only recent change that I am aware of is the new formulation of Oxycontin that was released by Purdue to help prevent abuse. Can you post back with any more details on this? Perhaps links to this information? In the meantime, I will keep searching and post ba...

This pill is oxycodone 40mg generic for 40mg oxycontin. Quality meds by Teva. These are putting the OP imprint off the market. So yes, Teva has created.a real generic oxycontin ## Definitely a.good move by Teva. Closest to the real thing (OC) as you can get. I hate the OPs..yellow Teva the life sava! And they now make a red 60mg oc just like the old days. Loves yall ## What are these yellow round pills with imprint Teva and blank on the other side? Please tell me its my real pain meds. I have to take 80mg of oxycodone daily or the cancer takes over. I hate sounding like a drugee but Im scared to take unknown meds. I was told they are 40mg oxycodone..please bring me good news. small round light orange pill, has a M on 1 side and the numbers 565 on the other side. ## First off, there is no Percocet tablet, on the U.S. market, that contains 40mgs of Oxycodone. I believe the tablet you are looking at has the marking M 595 and this is an old, discontinued 40mg time released Oxycodone tablet, a generic for Oxycontin. Due to the risks of abuse and diversion, the generics are no longer being manufactured. It is not a Percocet equivalent, because it is time released and doesn't contain Acetaminophen. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness. Read more: Are there any comments or questions?

My pain mgmt. person is taking me off of Lyrica due to it being highly addictive. I am 64 and have been on this med, in conjunction with Oxycodone 10mg, since it was on the market. Is it true that ALL pain mgmt. doctors are no longer prescribing Lyrica? It works so well for dealing with the severe stenosis problems I have. ## Hello Lory, Short answer is no, not all pain management doctors have stopped prescribing lyrica. What I will say is that the number of doctors refusing to prescribe these types of medication is growing due to the much stronger enforcement of opiods and other addictive prescription drugs. The reasoning for this is due in large part to the government's increasing regulation of the market. This crack down is in response to what people are calling the "opioid c...

Is the darvoset a run off darvons cause my mom turned into the hulk when she took them in the 70's ? I like. Percocettes the don't mess with my stomach. ## Darvocet and Darvon both contained the mild narcotic Propoxyphene, which has been removed from the market due to the risk it caused of cardiotoxicity. Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, it is must stronger and still available via prescription. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I know they took this drug off the market....Is there another drug that would be similar in effect? I used it for knee pain....Tramadol does not work. ## Based on my research, Darvocet-N 50 (acetaminophen + propoxyphene napsylate) is a narcotic (opioid) analgesic combination indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain. So it sounds to me like you're just in need of a similar type of drug combination. Although I'd recommend discussing this with your doctor before having any decisive thoughts, a few other potential brands to consider would probably be medications like those listed below: Percodan (Aspirin + Oxycodone) Percocet (Acetaminophen + Oxycodone) Norco (Acetaminophen + Hydrocodone) Ibudone (Hydrocodone + Ibuprofen) Demerol (Meperidine) I hope this info helps!

Hello: So I just got something from my insurance company telling me they no longer will pay for oxy 20 or the generic..which is off the market anyway. The substitute is morphine sulfate I believe..that's what they are covering. How much of this do I need to equal one 20mg? I take 3 20's per day.. Thanks for any help I can get.. ## Oxycodone is 1.5 times stronger than Morphine, so your daily dose would need to be 90mgs of Morphine to be equivalent, so on the same dosing schedule, you would take 30mgs of the Morphine, 3 times a day. Are there any questions or comments? ## Hi Ms. Verwon, I learn something new from you all of the time. I was under the impression that Morphine was much stronger than Oxycodone. No wonder that when my doctor changed my meds from 5m percocet to 25m morp...

Fibro, CFS, osteo, haven't been able to get relief since they took Darvocet off market. Was on time release morphine for 2-3 years this worked. Take gabapentin 400mg am & pm. Obviously not working. Elavil 50 mg nite. Do acupuncture, chiropractor helps. If I'm active then I nose dive it immense pain. Epsom salts bath helps. Have Vicoden 350mg, if I take it on a regular basis I itch then have to take a shot of benadryl. I'm 71 and would like part of my life back. Is there anything that will help? ## Hello, Lyn! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain. Has your doctor made any other suggestions? There are other options you could try, such as Oxycontin, Oxycodone regular release or Dilaudid.
