There is also the possibility of raising the dosage, or switching to a time released formulation that may give you better pain control. i have been having trouble getting a good dr who will write oxycodone 30 mg. my back has been broken before and i was going all the way to Florida (a 16 hour drive) just to get my meds. Hello, I live in the Houston area. I suffer constant back pain due to Scheuermann's Kyphosis and arthritis. I was prescribed Norco 10/325 for about 2 years and it just was not effective enough to control the pain. Just getting out of bed or performing daily tasks is a struggle. I don't have insurance but can procure a copy of my x-rays and MRI. But u can get Oxycodone & hydrocodone both. :) ## It would depend on the dosages and formulations. For instance, some could be prescribed an instant release Oxycodone for breakthrough pain and then a regular release or time released formulation for better and longer pain management. I have been taking methadone 20mgs. twice a day, plus 10mgs of oxycodone 4 times a day for the breakthrough pain. This has been my regimen for over 2 years now. But before I was only on methadone by itself since aug of '99. I went from 140 mgs. down to 70 and now I am down to 40. I need to find a pain clinic closer to home. Maybe in TN or Lexington, Ky.
