I have been on Oxycodone 30 mg for several years and from several manufacturers. Recently I was given 30mg from a manufacturer called Caraco. I was taking up to two at a time followed by a third in a hour because I was not getting any relief. I spoke to my dr and explained I was going thru withdrawals and getting no relief from my pain with the meds that have always worked in the past. He went ahead and prescribed 15 mg of oxycodone so I could get a different manufacturer due to my pharmacy saying there was a shortage of Oxycodone they were not able to get any of the 30 mg due to a shortage of the drug. Both generic and both manufacture by a different company. ## @Corinne, I do think it's strange that a pharmacy would give you two different manufacturer's products in the same bottle as another. However, despite being the same medication, they are still composed of different binders and fillers which directly affect bioavailability and overall drug efficacy. What is the difference between roxicodone and oxycodone ? ## From what I understand, Roxicodone and Oxycodone are both the exact same medication. The only difference you might find would probably be in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that different manufacturers use in their tablets. I think the real confusion sets in when people start discussing Percocet (which is sometimes partially labeled as Oxycodone). However, it also contains Acetaminophen; the differentiating factor between those two meds.
