Oxycodone In New Mexico

My boyfriend's doctor of 3 years changed practices and moved and now he cannot find a doctor who will write him the same prescription he was getting the last 3 years with her. Are there any doctors in New Mexico who he can be on a pain contract with and get his prescription from. He was getting 150 3mg Oxycodone a month, because he has chronic hip pain, but every place we've gone to is telling him they aren't authorized to prescribe the quantity he needs. We have all of his X-rays, medical records and a copy of his board of pharmacy saying how much he's been on continuously for 3 years. He's not looking to get more. Anyone have any luck splitting prescriptions for 15 mg oxycodone instead of oxy 30? I go back to DR and hate even thinkin about the agony of a med change. Is anyone finding any reolutions for this....seems like this is going on all over the country? Maybe after 10 or 20 people die of abruptly stopping these meds, or commit suicide from dealing with chronic pain, somebody will step up and DO something!!! Has anyone had success getting their scripts filled in Tijuana, Mexico? I've heard from a couple people that it's a walk in the park. Too many American drs are too afraid to prescribe meds. I've heard u can go to a pharmacist there and get a script and fill it at the same pharmacy. Anyone else had success? Also, I've been on oxy 60mg for over 5 years. What's my choice from here if my insurance stops paying for it in the new year? Its $1,280.!!!! I can't afford that. Is there a med comprabable to the oxycodone? Hello Everyone. Hopefully someone on here will be able to help me. My family and I are getting ready to go on 10 day cruise. I have been taking OXYCODONE 30mg for over 15 years. I have a totally legitimate prescription for my medication but on the "fill date", we will be in the Carribean, more specifically Montego Bay, Jamaica (we will also be visiting the Grand Caymans, Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico. We will be leaving the United Statrs 5 days prior to fill date so filling it early, even with my doctors approval, isn't an option due to the new rules/regulations that govern "schedule II" narcotics.
