Do the oxycodone k57 pills have red and blue spots on the pill itself? If so, why and for what purpose? ## Yes, they do. There is really no specific purpose, other than to make their pills look different from the others on the market. Is there anything else I can help with?

Why does this pill have a sweet taste to.it ## One of the inactive ingredients in it is lactose. Some manufacturers use sweetener in their tablets to try to help reduce how awful they taste, when taking them. I am allergic to red dye. I am now taking oxycodone 10 mg. Since the pain med has red dye, will it make me have a reaction to the dye as I did when I was given a B12 shot? ## It might, if it contains the same red dye. Have you tried taking it, yet? What type of reaction did you experience? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and skin rash.

I had brain surgery 3 mos. ago. Was almost off the oxycodone when I developed a bone infection in my skull. Went on very high dose. Came out of the hospital with a PICC line and on 20 mg ir oxycodone 6 x a day. Down to 5mg 6 x a day but now I am having a very hard time reducing anymore. Can I go down by half and not have any wd symptoms? Or should I come down slower. ## It might be best to taper slower, your doctor should be able to help you set up a proper schedule. Are you taking the regular release, or the time released formulation? The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

I was in a horrible accident. My Dr. Put me on Dillaudid 4 mg. After a half month I cut myself down to Dilaudid 2 mg. When that was gone, my Dr. Put me on Oxycodone 10, to keep down withdrawals. I've been on these for approx. 2 weeks. Is it safe to now cut my dose down, and how should I go about it? I DON'T WANT OR NEED THE WITHDRAWAL. ## It is not a time released medication, so as long as your doctor approves, you should be able to cut the pills to gradually reduce your dosage. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? ## If you have only been taking opiates (as prescribed) for about a month, and onl...

Is there a new law trying to get rid of 30mg oxycodone? I'm wondering because my doctor whom I've been seeing has brought mostly everybody down to 20mg. Is this true? ## Not actually a law, in most states, just a DEA directive to try to help reduce abuse of this opiate and improper/over prescribing. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Your doctor has to account for every prescription they write for such medications, and if the DEA has questions, they risk paying large fines, losing their license to practice medicine, and jail time. What type of doctor have you been seeing?

I've been taking 45-60mg of oxycodone daily for quite awhile now. My doctor would like me to cut down to 45mg (3 x 15mg) more often and add 10mcg/hour buprenorphine patches and only take 60mg (4 x 15mg) as needed. I've read that buprenorphine patches may cut down the analgesic effect of the oxycodone, have others experienced this? It worries me that my oxycodone may no longer help me reduce my pain. ## Yes, Buprenorphine can sometimes do that, because it tends to cling much more strongly to the opiate receptors than other opiates. However, it is also an analgesic, so you may not need the Oxycodone, once you start it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drows...
