Is this pill as strong as a OxyContin 80mg? I found it in my new apartment on floor by window ## They are the same. WARNING with no or low tolerance this dose COULD kill. Don't cut it either. Dump it down the toilet. Very dangerous esp to kids or pets. Don't mess with oxycodone at this high of a dose. It's only for ppl with a very high opioid tolerance. ## Actually, without knowing the markings on the tablet, no one can be certain if they are the same or not. From what has been posted, it could be assumed that they are, but only the markings on the tablet in question would enable someone to check and say with any certainty. I ahve been going to a family orientated pharmacy for my oxycodone 20mg they have the prescription always for me but I have used other pharmacists and it seems that the others have better quality meds are better than the one I go too is it because of different manufacturers and why is that?? ## Yes, it could be, there can be differences between generic medications as allowed under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984. They are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20%, but they do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand, so it is conceivable that the one you've received is slightly lower in the amount of Oxycodone than the prior one you were taking. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may caus...

Oxycodone in the instant relief form is much better than extended time release. Time release comes on at the wrong times and when you really need pain relief they aren't working. The doctor often prescribes norco for breakthrough pain. Why take 2 pain pills when you can just take the roxy IR and not be so hard on your liver. I've been on pain meds for 10 years. Good luck to all of people suffering from chronic pain like me!

I have Oxycodone 15mg and I want to know if they are extended release? They are green and round with 4811 stamp on one side and V on the other side. ## No, they are not. These are manufactured by Vintage Pharmaceuticals and they list them as being a regular release formulation. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. At this time the only time released formulation of it that is available is the name brand manufactured by Purdue Pharma. Is there anything else they can help with?

Can someone please tell me what this round white pill is that has R/P and 5 on the other side? I know it's a 5mg Percocet but I don't know if it's extended release or quick release? Please let me know ASAP. Thank you. ## Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. The tablet in question, however, is manufactured by Rhodes Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 5mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I weigh about 110 pounds and I have been dealing with lower back pain from a fall which injured my tailbone and also have pain in my legs. For six years now . I was wondering how strong the morphine 30 milligram extended release was? I have had loratab before and 20 milligram oxycodone. But I certainly don't want to overdose on it. Can someone help me out? I have a fair tolerance to opiods. ## Hello, Sis! How are you? Each 30mgs of Morphine is actually equivalent to 20mgs of Oxycodone, so Oxycodone is actually 1 and a half times stronger, which should give you some basis for comparison. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...

Is 20mg oxycodone instant release ok to break in half and only take half. It has 12 on one side and NP on the other with a small line on top and bottom. I take the whole thing and makes me feel really sick. So I wanted to break it in half and only take half. ## Yes, tablets can be cut, or broken, as long as your pharmacist has not directed you not to do so. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Are you on any other medications? ## While the instant release tablets are usually fine to cut in half, cutting extended-release tablets can be fatal! If you take a 24-hour extended release tablet of oxycodone, it keeps your blood levels constant for 24 hours, as thou...

Is this exstended release? I can't figure it out it doesn't seem like it lasts me 12 hours but I don't know if I can take anything else because I'm not sure if they are extended release or not ## This tablet is manufactured by Caraco Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 20mgs of Oxycodone in a regular release formulation. Generally, they last 4 to 6 hours, but you should follow your doctor's dosing instructions. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I was on 60mg of oxycontin 3x a day, and cuz of my insurance company had to switch to 15mg of extended release morphine.. I am very concerned about the pain or withdrawal symptoms. Anyone know if it's the same?? ## Oxycodone is actually one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so to be equivalent in pain relief, you'd need 90mgs of Morphine to match each 60mgs you were taking of Oxycontin. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If you are taking 15mg doses, then yes, you may experience pain and some withdrawal symptoms, which may include nausea, diarrhea, fever and chills. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Wo...

try to find out if these pills are extended release ## Hello, Jack! How are you? The only time released Oxycodone available is Oxycontin and they have the marking of OP on one side and the number corresponding to the dosage on the other. The tablets with the NP 14 marking contain 20mgs in the regular release formulation, so it's a generic for Roxicodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Hello, I am a long time user of oxycodone . Have been prescribed pain mess for around 8 years. I am 35 years old and lead a fairly active lifestyle . I've had many surgeries in which I suffer from serious constant pain. I've tried many ways of coping with the pain but the only thing that really works and enables me to function semi normally is oxycodone. Right now I'm using 30mg Oxys. Prescribed 180 a month, but always come up short as I need more than what's prescribed to my high tolerance . I've tried the extended release tablets in 80mg and they do not work at all, and I feel like they are way worse for my body . I've tried dissolving them in water and soda. And they turn to this glob of rubbery stuff and it seems like it would just build up in my body and not...

I have been taking 60mg ms contin extended release 3 times a day + 30mg oxycodone immediate release 4 times a day. Recently my doctor changed the oxycodone to morphine 30mg immediate release. He also added lyrica 75 mg and I also take baclofen 10mg & amitriptyline 50mg in which i take 2. I'm still in constant pain. I was shot 8 yrs ago and I still hardly feel relief. What will help me? ## Hello, Shy! How are you? Oxycodone is one and a half times stronger than Morphine, so the dosages are not equivalent, which likely explains why you are in pain. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. As to the Lyrica, that may take 4 to 5 weeks, before it reaches ...

It's my understanding that the manufacturers started making ER (extended-release) tablets that have micro encapsulated beads within the pill that prevent the over release of medication. The reason they did that was due to the trend of chopping the pills into powder and insufflating it recreationally, which can be lethal. ## I agree with your logic, especially due to the widespread stance big pharma has taken against drug abusers. A number of other pain medications (such as Oxycodone) have also undergone their own unique preventative measures in recent years. Although I suppose another reason provoking such change might be for cutting manufacturing costs, as they tend to do so frequently all across the board. Do you know if these new extended release tablets are still in "tablet-...

I have been struggling with chronic pain most of my life. I have been taking 3 60MG Extended Release Oxycontin tablets a day along with 3 30MG Oxycodone instant release for breakaway pain. After 3 years of the same dosage it's not working as well as it used to. So my doctor decided to change up the meds a bit. She gave me Morphine Sulphate 60MG ER twice a day and for the life of me I cannot feel this working. It's only been a day but usually I would have pain relief around 30-45 after taking the Oxycontin and then about 3-6 hours of relief. How is this Morphine twice a day at the same MG going to give me the same relief I was getting before AND was already struggling with hence the change to the Morphine? I don't get it, especially after everything I have read falls in line ...

I need to know if my Oxycodne IR 15mg light green pill with M oneside-15other side, with a indent center line is extended release . I am detoxing soon and is really important as I reduce down from apx 160mg(2are60mg long release) W/5mg for breakthru pain. Dr is retiring and I had scripts for all. ## IF it is oxycodone 15mg IR hints the IR that means instant release unless you have your pills confused that narcotic is a instant release form,Oxycontin stands for continous release so if it is oxycodone then it is not extened release. ## This tablet is actually neither the immediate release, nor the extended release, it is just the regular release 15mg, generic for Roxicodone. Some of the most common side effects to this medication can include: nausea, dry mouth, constipation and drowsiness...

I think i took a white oblong capsule i was told it was outdone instant relief 5mg. I can't remember the exact numbers on them. I know it started with a 0 and had the number 4 in it. I have taken oxycodone before but never seen it in a capsuse before can u please tell me if it was actually oxycodone ## There's definitely not a medication by the name of "outdone", at least here in the U.S. It sounds like they could've also said Oxycontin, which is an extended release version of Oxycodone. But just to confirm, there are in fact Oxycodone (immediate release) capsules. I've seen a 5mg capsule from Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. This one happens to be brown/yellow in color and imprinted with "0554 M 5 mg". You mentioned that the pill started with a "0" ...

Dosage Conversion chart for Roxicodone immediate release from extended release ## Hello, Cappy! How are you? There is no conversion chart, since you're talking about the same medication, Oxycodone. One is just a slow release and one isn't, so the regular release is taken more frequently, with the dose split up throughout the day. The dose for the extended release is just split in half and taken twice a day. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
