However, there are pharmacies that specially compound some medications, as ordered by a physician. I have a blue and green capsule that I was told it was a 30 mg oxycodone pill is this blue and green capsule a 30 mg oxycodone pill. ## Hi sue, Do you have any sort of imprint or marking on your blue and green capsule? If so, I may be able to do some research on whether or not it contains oxycodone and what the dosage might be. the capsule i saw had no imprints or colored lines separating the red and blue.... was this an authentic oxycodone 30??? ## If there were no imprints, then it wasn't a legal, manufactured Oxycodone from the U.S. They are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. The only way a capsule containing Oxycodone wouldn't have imprints, would be if a doctor specially ordered a certain dosage and combination of the medication, which had to be done by a compounding pharmacy. In those cases, the capsules are also usually clear, not red and blue. Are there any other questions? ## I just got the same thing. I was given a blue and white capsule with white powder in it with NO IMPRINTING AT ALL on it and said it was a 30mg oxycodone. Is this possible?? Can a compounding pharmacy do this? ## Short answer: Yes, as long as the physician prescribed and there is a specific need for it to be compounded. That being said...I would be very cautious and inquire as to WHY they are compounding 30mg oxy as capsules instead of using the commercially produced tablets. I myself am a pharmacist and do many different types of compounding- mostly in the pain sector. and the only time I compound oxycodone is to combine it with either something for nausea (common side effect) or low dose ibuprofen or acetaminophen, or in combo with something to reduce/prevent constipation. I found a zip lock bag with blue and white capsules in it with white powder inside and no kind of markings. ive read other posts about kinds of pills like this and they have said that it is oxycodone. I have never seen no kind of pills like that with no markings on it. HELP ME PLEAASE!! ## No need to panic, they are most likely something that's available over the counter. They are not required to have markings and there are many on the market that don't. That rules them out as being Oxycodone, but they could be any one of a very large number of OTC supplements or medications. The best thing to do would just to properly dispose of them. There are only 2 cases where it could be Oxycodone and not have an imprint on it. The first would be if it was a dosage or formulation specially ordered by a doctor that was done by a compounding pharmacy and the second could be if it were a foreign medication. Has anybody seen the blue and purple capsules 30 mg oxycodone from Florida? There is no imprint but they seem to provide proper pain relief. Has anybody else been getting these? ## It is the real thing! A compounding pharmacy makes them special from a doctors prescription. An Oxycodone compound would be something that was specially done by a compounding pharmacy, because a doctor ordered a dosage or mixture that is not commercially available. That would explain it not having an imprint, because compounding pharmacies typically use unmarked capsules. That said, this also means that there is no way to verify what they actually contain, unless you would pay to have them lab assayed somewhere. However, most compounding pharmacies do use plain clear or white capsules, because they are the least expensive and most readily available, so unless you picked this up from such a pharmacy yourself, the fact that they are blue gives reason to doubt that they actuall...

my friend gave me a teal colored capsule with no imprints and said it was a Roxy ## Based on my research Roxicodone's dosage forms do not come in teal blue capsules or any capsule for that matter. However there is a conspiracy going around throughout various forums on Google, stating that its generic equivalent (oxycodone) comes in an unmarked blue capsule. I recently received some roxycodone's 30mg from India and they don't look anything like original blue 30mg roxies.. They look like maybe watson 10/500 hydro/apap or maybe 7.5 hydro/apap with lots of filler.. What was strange is the sealed packaging actually says roxycodone and describes the little blue pill with the 54 199 imprint used to identify the roxy's. These don't have any imprint on them.
