I am on 30mg Roxycotin (oxycodone) 180 tablets per month. I have insurance, however, cannot find a pharmacy that has supplies of prescription (I hear many people are having this issue recently). My doctor might prescribe an alternative. I am very afraid of the alternative due to not understanding how medications translate. I fear it not being adequate for me to function and go to work. I am a 51 y/o who lives in Florida, suffering from chronic back pain, and have been prescribed to take up to six 30mg oxycodone tablets a day for over two years by my Pain Management doctor. I have been on regular Oxycodone- one 20mg pill every 4-6 hrs a day for approx 6 mos I used to be prescribed 10 MG TWO PILLS every 4-6hrs prior to the switch by my doc. Now, my pain has greatly increased and NOW he has given me 30 mg 4x a day and another script for oxycontin 60mg 2x a day. NOW, I am really drowsy ALL DAY where I was not at all before after this recent change in script. I also DO NOT get the same pain relief. Aside from that option, generic Hydrocodone is a common substitute for Oxycodone. There is a decrease in potency however, so if you are on a high dose of Oxycodone you may want to taper that dose down a little and start with a slightly higher dose of Hydrocodone. Does anyone know if 2 15mg morphine tabs would be equal to 1 30mg oxycodone. Both are immediate release. Avoid them, they may have 3 or 4 mg of oxycodone in them, but only the manufacturer in India would know.sarc. ## I am very sorry that this medication didn't work for you, with some slight fluctuations in generics, not all of them work for everyone. However, the manufactured is Caraco, which is under Sun Pharma and they are actually currently based in Detroit, Michigan…not India. I've been taking 15mg of Percocet with Tylenol in them for a year. My dr just gave me a 20mg dose without the Tylenol, but it doesn't seem to be working as well. Why is that? ## The ONLY difference in the two pills is the Tylenol, and 1 of the pills (oxy 20) has 5 mgs more than the Percocet 15? I put the ? I'd like to know how much stronger in milligrams the difference is between 30 mg of Methadone and 30 mg of Oxycodone? Of course, the Methadone always worked better and the Oxycodone, same dosage, is not nearly as strong. Does anyone know of a new (or new to me) Oxycodone 30 mg with a coating? The coating is just like what's on Oxycontin. The only ones I've been prescribed so far are the blue M's. Look identical but have the coating. They really don't taste like any type of oxy. They are very strong. I can feel it all the way down my arms to the tips of my fingers! I think under normal circumstances any licensed pharmacy should fill your prescription. It's not like they don't have the ability to (being a pharmacy and all), but whether or not the oxycodone's in stock when you get there is another story. Because that's something we can't always determine ahead of time (unless the doctor calls it in), it may come down to checking different locations in your surrounding area until someone can at the very least order your meds to arrive in a couple days. I've been taking 30-40 mg of oxycodone #100 tabs per month for two years. Today my pain management doctor says "I'm not longer writing any pain meds except this, belbuca."
