My doctor has recently become hesitant to give me Soma with the combined drugs and wants me to use a different Muscle Relaxer. Is there a new law coming to NY to prevent doctors from prescribing the three drugs together? I fave severe spinal stenosis at multiple levels and two herniated discs causing chronic pain, ## Be careful as you don't want your Xanax or Oxycodone compromised as well. Many Doctors do not like prescribing SOMA which has little therapeutic quality. My doctor currently gives me roxicodone 30mg #360, Opana IR 10mg #180, Soma 350mg #120, and Xanax 2mg #90....the only problem now seems to be finding pharmacies willing to fill the oxy's. I was told by my pharmacy (cvc) that they now dont fill beyond 240. Anybody else have this problem in San Diego or know of a pharmacy that will honor the script? I was given a prescription for each, but don't want to take both...just one of the weaker kind since I'm not in as much pain as usual, which one do I take Soma 350 mg or Oxycodone 10/325 mg? ## These are not both pain medications, so they can't really be compared as to which is stronger, since they are different substances that do different things. My question is this, I was having a very difficult time filling my legitimate 30mg oxycodone qty(120) prescription, I had an old prescription from my old pm dr. that was for 10mg oxycodone qty (98). I showed it to the pharmacist he told me it was no problem to fill, and that the only issue would be that insurance would not cover both. After looking everywhere I decided to go ahead and fill the 10"s and pay cash. I have been in pain management for years, lost my doctor along with other patients, and primary won't fill or says she can't and messes up my progress to get in new pain management in time. Now I'm losing Soma, was 3 times a day, now I have 7 tabs left. Was on 45 mg of morphine 3 times, oxycodone 15s and xanax 5 mg 3 times a day. Which she said she can not write for. I used to request Watson brand esp with soma. I had my script filled and the brand dispensed was Actavis and I think it's weak. I am not a fan and trust me, I'm an expert on the good and bad brands. This is supposed to be the company that bought Watson which is a drag BC I can't find my soma's anymore unless Walgreens carries them. Actavis is a weak, short acting pain pill. My suggestion is to ask what brands they offer and avoid this one. At least for me, if you have a high tolerance, this is to be avoided. If you can't avoid it, then sucks for you. I'm overweight and have severe knee pain..I can't take loratabs or anything with codeine because of itching and nausea...1/2 of oxycodone 30mg gets rid of my pain with no itching or nausea..why does this occur if they are both similar as far as being opiates? Pain management for over 13 years. Saw an RN, not a pain doctor for some reason, I don't know why. Reduced my oxycodone 10/325 six/day to oxycodone 7.5/325 three/day, and ms contin ER 30mg three/day to two/day, then took me off 350mg SOMA three/day. Said that soma was not going to be in the market anymore!!?? Put me on Robaxin 750mg four/day and they make me very sick. Can't keep anything down. Called the clinic and RN is on vacation!! Hi thanks for taking the time to read this and any advice would be helpful asap. I am going to a new doctor tomorrow. I have heard he is willing to prescribe pain killers and has to some patients, but definitely not a place where he does to every patient. I used to be on 30mg oxycodone and 50mg Tramadol as well as Soma for my back, knees, feet and other bad pain. I went off health insurance a year ago and have not been able to get my meds. My quality of life has went downhill bad. I have put on weight and my blood pressure went up. hi, I am currently taking (as directed) a combination of oxycodone 30mg (4 daily), zanex 1 mg (one to two daily), somas (3 a day) and morphine 60mg (two daily) and I am having some trouble focusing my eyes sometimes throughout the day...not all day just here and there...I also have noticed I have become very negative and angry lately, and have alot of feelings of rage...I am wonerding if this may be a side affect, and if so from which substance? I have been in soma for a long time on and off. I have tried every muscle relaxer/spasmodic out there. All of a sudden my dr won't prescribe soma anymore?? I have a disease that has no cure and I know what works for me. I have given an honest try with all the other muscle meds, but I am at my wit end.
