What is the difference between roxicodone and oxycodone ? ## From what I understand, Roxicodone and Oxycodone are both the exact same medication. The only difference you might find would probably be in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that different manufacturers use in their tablets. I think the real confusion sets in when people start discussing Percocet (which is sometimes partially labeled as Oxycodone). However, it also contains Acetaminophen; the differentiating factor between those two meds. I have been taking oxycodone 512 And my Pharmacy now gives me. a 349 Oxycodone but it fells like there not as strong . ## They are both 5/325mg doses, as listed in the databases by the FDA, just manufactured by different companies, since this is a generic. It is generic for Percocet, which is a schedule 2 controlled, addictive substance. Hi, my name is Kelly & I'm new here. I've been in PM going on 2 years now for a Spinal cord injury w/ 8 diagnosis to my spine. Started off with Percocet 5 & am now at 10-325 4xd. So my pharmacy said they changed their brands from mallinckrodt to alvogen, both oxycodone 7.5/325 for insurance reasons. The alvogen caused ulcers, swelling in the throat, and didn't help with the pain from the coating. I thought they were giving a placbo or they had a very low mg, > 5. I told them about the problem and they filled another one anyway. I tried maylan 7.5/325 and they work fine. Conclusion alvogen company should be banned from making this product! ## Hello, SP! I saw on here the difference between Endocet and oxycodone or Percocet. Well I have had scripts for both. If I could get Endocet I would take it over ANY other pain pill out there. I was getting watson 5-325 oxycodone from a pharmacy that my health insurance recently dropped from my coverage. The other pharmacies in my area do not carry the watson brand. I've tried 3 different pharmacies 3 different manufacturers and none seem to work as well as the watsons. I'm down to my last pharmacy which carries endocet brand of the oxycodone I need. I was told to take one table twice a day. when is the brst time of day to take these? ## Timing is going to be different for everyone based on their specific dosing schedule and number of pills taken; but it seems as though the best approach for 24hr around-the-clock pain relief would be to take one in the morning and one in the evening. However, the usual adult dosage for this medication is one tablet every 6 hours as needed for pain. I hope this helps!
