I think i took a white oblong capsule i was told it was outdone instant relief 5mg. I can't remember the exact numbers on them. I know it started with a 0 and had the number 4 in it. I have been on Oxycodone 5mg, up to 3x's a day, but I only have taken 2 caps daily. I have had many back surgeries, fought cancer, struggling with Fibro and now docs say I might have Parkinson's... Just a few examples: White, round, m 0552 White, round, 4810 V There are also a few that are capsules. If these don't match the tablet in question, then please post back so I can check it for you. I was on Oxy Ir 5, taken off market, then put on oxycodone capsule tan brown, now they are not avaliable, substituted 5mg QLT. do not work. are all of the capsule..even 15mg off market? what is still avaliable? ## I too was on the capsules and now my pharmacy can no longer get them and I have been switched to tablets. Oc 80, ABG 80 and EX 80 are all IR 80mg oxycontin tabs. Don't try and tell me otherwise. They are Ir so smarten up. ## IR means immediate release and Oxycontin is a time released medication. Currently, in the US, the immediate release formulation is only available in 5mg capsules, the regular release is available under the name brand Roxicodone and its generics as just Oxycodone and the time released is only available as the name brand Oxycontin. Canada lists all the ones you've mentioned as being time released formulations. My Dr. wrote me a script on the script it says oxyCODONE (ROXICODONE) 15 MG immediate release tablets. the tablets are small and light green with the funny looking v on 1 side and 48 11 on the other side is this the imm rel.? So a friend of mine was trying to tell me that they make a 60,80 and 100mg IR oxycodone. Not ER oxycontin but IR, I told him he was crazy the highest mg they make for IR is the 30mg Roxicodone. He said they do make them in pill form but choose not to tell us about them because of the already crack down on opioids. Oxycodone or Oxycontin is this time released? Or immediate release? ## There are no generic formulations available of Oxycontin, there are only generics available of the instant release and the regular release. Additionally, the instant release is only available in 5mg capsules. Thus, if you have a tablet that does not have the OP marking and it is from the U.S., then it is fairly safe to assume that's most likely a regular release tablet.
