Oxycodone 5 Without Tylenol

I have Hep-C and am taking oxycodone-acetaminophen for severe knee pain. Meanwhile, my liver is getting worse. My "doctor" a P.A. says there is no oxycodone without acetaminophen. My hematologist says there is...and that I should be on it. very small white pill with imprint S191 or 5191. I was taking Percocet 10and I have Hepatitis C my doctor changed it to Oxycontin when I went to get this filled for 30 pills my insurance would not cover it it cost $90 so what other medication narcotic can I ask my doctor for that does not have Tylenol in it? Is there such thing as a oxycodone 30mg with no Tylenol, that is white? I've seen blue ones but not a white one. ## Hi Lynn, Just wanted to add that there is in fact a 30mg Oxycodone hydrochloride tablet available without the Tylenol (Acetaminophen). However the one I am seeing is not white, but rather a light blue in color. It has an [M] inside of a box on one side and the number 30 on the back side sitting above a horizontal score line. For further verification, this particular pill is a product of Mallinckrodt, approximately 6.00 mm in size and carries a National Drug Code of 00406-8530. I've been taking 10mg Percocet for about 10 years. My doc has just prescribed the oxy part of it without Tylenol for the first time but it gives me severe headaches. I was wondering what the difference is between hydro and oxo codone? Is it the way the pill is made or extracted from the plant, Hydro is by water and Oxy is by oxygen??? I seem to think the oxycodone is stronger and almost all doctors and health care say it is more addicting than hydrocodone, why is this??? I've been taking 15mg of Percocet with Tylenol in them for a year. My dr just gave me a 20mg dose without the Tylenol, but it doesn't seem to be working as well. Why is that? ## The ONLY difference in the two pills is the Tylenol, and 1 of the pills (oxy 20) has 5 mgs more than the Percocet 15? I put the ? I am searching for a comparible drug to the Oxycodone? Due to national shortage I cannot get the Oxycodone. But I need something to replace it without Tylenol. ## I'm not sure how comparable these two drugs are to Oxycodone, as I have never taken them. I bought it in Nassau Bahamas. Looks like white round percocet. Line down the middle but has zero markings. Can it be right? Is it stronger or weaker and would it only take one to equal the equivalent of a perk 10 or 2 of the oxycodone 5mg ## Hi Julie, To answer your question, 5mgs of Oxycodone quite simply does NOT equate to 10mgs of Oxycodone + 325mgs of Tylenol found in Percocet. Usually when people abbreviate the term "perk 10" this means that it contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and nothing less. I have been on Tylenol 3's x 3- 4 tablets a night to be able to sleep through the night without waking in pain. I have been on this for 3 years and worried about the long term effects on my kidneys I am diabetic type 2 with severe neuropathy in feet and hands and also I have a smashed elbow resulting in a plate with 20 screws and a rotary unit (?) which is scheduled for a 2nd surgery in 3 weeks.
