So a friend of mine was trying to tell me that they make a 60,80 and 100mg IR oxycodone. Not ER oxycontin but IR, I told him he was crazy the highest mg they make for IR is the 30mg Roxicodone. He said they do make them in pill form but choose not to tell us about them because of the already crack down on opioids. I was just wondering if anyone out there has either seen heard of or ever had one of these pills. My guess is they dont make them. ## You are correct, the immediate release formulation of Oxycodone is only available in dosages up to 30mgs. The instant release is only available in 5mg capsules, and anything over 30mgs is only available in the time released formulation. There was a time other doses were available, but they were removed from the market due to regularly increasing ...

has anyone had fake oxycodone? My brother is a dealer and it looks almost perfect as the real thing but it is not. I saw it and you have to have a good eye. Be careful. There is fake stuff everywhere. They steal from people and then put the fake stuff back in the bottle. Especially older people. sad sad. ## white round pill with numbers 44 157 printed on one side and asprin on the other side ## Tell your brother I have 180 pills, 100mg morphine er ms contin ## Pills marked with 512 actually do contain 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, they are a generic for Percocet, a narcotic pain reliever. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## 44 157 contains 325mgs of Aspirin, an over the counter product used for pain and fever. Do you have ...

Can a mspain management Doctor in mississippi prescribe more than one hundred oxycodone along with nintey morphine one hundred mg. ## Hello, Troy! How are you? Actually, under the new DEA directives, they are requested to limit patients to no more than the equivalent of 120mgs of Morphine a day, some states have lowered that even further to no more than the equivalent of 100mgs of Morphine a day. The only exceptions are supposed to be for those that have a potentially fatal illness, such as stage 4 cancer. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, you're actually among the rare people that are still being prescribed such h...

I have been taking oxycodone 10-325 for 8 years with no problem and my pain was managed well. But I had to change Pain Management docs and the new doc has Added (not replaced) Opana 7.5 ER to my monthly script. Thoughts on this? ## It is a normal practice to try to help someone get better pain control by adding a time released medication, such as the Opana ER, while using the regular released one for breakthrough pain. Have you tried taking it, yet? The FDA warns that narcotic analgesics carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. ## It is correct that two types of painkillers by working together yet working differently Does help with the pain better. I take 2x a day MS Contin ER 100mg, one in morning...

here guys i found something as I am also going thru what u are all going thru. projects.propublica.org/checkup/drugs/2954/states/nevada I need a dr who will prescribe, fentanyl patches 100mg, 14 a month, soma 240mg 4 a day, and oxycodone 30mg 4 a day, xanax. this has always done well for me too, i hate that other ppl have abused them. I feel that ppl who dont have problems with them should continue to get them with no problems. ## Unfortunately, doctor's hands are tied on these matters, due to the new regulations that were set forth by DEA last year. They are restricted on how much they can prescribe of any given controlled substance and why they can prescribe it. I understand your frustration, but you're not going to be able to go into a new doctor and ask for specific medicati...

What type of syringe is correct as well as dosage equivalents? Can you administer this type by iv? ## Hello, Porvidavela! How are you? No, oral medications should only be taken orally as they may contain substances that are not safe for using in such a manner, such as fillers, sugars or etc. that may be dangerous. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. This dosage is 100mg per teaspoon, or 20mg per fifth of a teaspoon. Is there anything else I can help with?

please explain Naltrexone can have markedly different pharmacokinetics at ultra low doses which may include the attenuation of a pre-established opioid the prevention of tolerance from the oxycodone in the formulation, and the possible amplification of oxycodone ## Think of it as wiping the slate clean. Thats what naltrexone does to the opiod receptors thereby "erasing" tolerance and making the receptors more sensitive again ## @John, I don't know if you may be looking for a second opinion on this, but I think the previous post does a good job of putting into perspective how Naltrexone works to prevent the tolerance of opioids. According to the U.S. National Library of Medicine, a 100mg dose of Naltrexone is said to provide a 96% blockade by the time 24 hours have passed, an...

my pharmacy said that they would probly not be able yo fill my 150 oxycodone at that amount my freind gets 280 15mg a month im talking about KROGER IN MI THEY FILLED3 80MG PLUS 120 30MG DID THEY CHANGE THERE GOD COMPLEX ## Hello, Mike! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. There have been many new changes going into effect throughout the U.S. and one of them is many states restricting the daily dose for most chronic pain patients to the equivalent of 100mgs of Morphine or less. With exceptions only being made for people with chronic conditions that have the potential to be terminal, such as stage 4 cancer. The FDA classifies this medication as being a a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as naus...

I had been taking 150mg of tramadol and had only two 50mg of tramadol left so I took it with only 10mg of oxycodone. I need to know is it safe to take 100mg of tramadol with one 10mg of oxycodone? ## They are both classified as opiates, so you may experience more side effects than normal, which the FDA lists as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation. However, there could also be a risk of overdose, if you are not opiate tolerant. In the future, it would be best not to combine them, unless your doctor instructs you to do so. Did you experience any adverse effects?

I was on oxy's for 4 years and then I switched over to morphine sulfate 60s. AT one time I was on 14- 30mg oxycodone a day. When my doctor retired and I went to a pain center they immediately cut my dosage in half. At that time he started me on 100mg MS 2x a day. Now I'm completely off oxys and only take 2- 60mg MS a day. Looking back I realize the only reason I took the oxys was for that initial high and warm feeling. ## I'm very sorry about what happened to you, but am glad you've found the right medication to help you. MS Contin is a time released formulation of Morphine, so it's designed to slowly be released in your body over a period of 12 hours. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea...

Please help me. I suffer pain all the time from my Fibromyalgia to my disc and back problems. The doctor had me on Percocet10/350 mg and switched me to Oxycodone HCL10 mg. little pink pills that don't work and Morphine Sulf ER 15 mg littleblue pills. I'm getting NO relief. What should I take? I'm at my wits end with pain. Almost no generic pills don't work. What can I do? Please help me!! Thank you ## If your doctor approves it, you may be able to take Acetaminophen/Tylenol with it to help get back some of the prior pain relief that you had, since it potentiates the action of the narcotics. Have you contacted them about the problem, yet? How long have you been taking the new medications? ## i am on lyrica 100mg and ocycodone 10/325 for my fibromyalgia been on it for awhi...

I am a chronic back pain sufferer, relocated to Florida to live with my parents bc I lost my home from being unable to work bc of on the job injury that my employer won't take responsibility for. I was on 75 mg oxycodone in sc but my doctor here in Florida says that I cannot get but 60 mg a day unless I'm a cancer patient. Is there restrictions on back pain patients? ## The DEA did put forth some new directives asking doctors to restrict opiates to no more than the equivalent of 120mgs of Morphine a day and some states took it upon themselves to lower that even further to no more than the equivalent of 100mgs of Morphine a day. The only exceptions are for those with intractable pain from a possibly fatal illness, such as stage 4 cancer. At 60mgs of Oxycodone, you're currentl...

Norco 10/325 quit working for me. I was given Morphine 100mg, TOO MUCH FOR ME, Now I have been taking Oxycodone 20mg IR and I am have shortness of breath and chest pain ? I can hardly breathe . I see my lung Doctor today, where do I go from here for pain medication, I am suspecting that the Oxycodone is my breathing problem and I must give it up. Help ## What did the doctor say? Oxycodone can cause suppression of the central nervous system as a side effect, which can cause breathing issues, sometimes chest pain, severe drowsiness, and somnolence. What issues did the Morphine cause? If that dose was too high, there are lower ones available that you can try. Alternatively, you might also do better with a time released formulation of Oxycodone, rather than one that releases all the medicat...

Hello, My name is mark. my doctor said that the new drug laws only allow for 200 mg of a opioid daily. I currently am on 4-30mg oxycodone and 2- 30mg 30mg morphine sulphate. He say's that he is going to have to remove 1 30mg of the morphine because it add's up to 220 mg daily. This makes no since to me because I take 1 long term in the morning and before bed I take the second, Is my doctor correct, becouse that means I will have nothing in the morning which will increase my pain level thru out the day? ## Hello, Mike/Mark! How are you? The new directives from the DEA are supposed to be the equivalent of no more than 120mgs of Morphine a day, though some states have lowered that further to no more than the equivalent of 100mgs, thus your doctor really has no choice, sadly enough. Anyone know of a dr in sonoma county, CA who prescribes oxycidone and takes medi-care? Ive been taking 100mgs for several years and my meds were stolen so my primary cancelled my contract. I had not breached my contract b4. No early fills, etc... I think she just wanted me off & that was her opportunity. ## Hello, Jay! How are you? Yes, if she was a PCP that might be so, because they are actually supposed to cut down on who they prescribe such medications for, due to new regulations that were put in place last year. If you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such a...

5mg oxycodone vs 50mg tramadol which is more effective for pain? Is tramadol safe for someone who is not supposed to have nsads? ## Hi Bill, Please don't take my word alone for this, but I've heard other patients say that 100mg of Tramadol is about as potent as a 5mg Oxycodone. Even though everyone's tolerance is different, statements like this certainly go to show that Oxycodone exhibits far more powerful analgesic effects than Tramadol. However, if you're thinking of switching between the two I'd definitely recommend discussing this with your doctor first, just to be sure you're taking what's truly considered to be an equivalent strength for the desired effects. To answer your last question about Tramadol being safe for someone who isn't supposed to hav...

Is there a 100 mg Percocet? Just wanted to ask if anyone has ever heard of a 100 mg Percocet? ## Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone, it is available in a maximum dosage of 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of the Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. However, Oxycodone by itself, without the Acetaminophen, is available in higher doses in both a regular release and a time released formulation. Are you sure you are asking about Percocet?

How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. What type of problem are you having? Did they give a reason why they couldn't fill them? Did you try other pharmacies in your area? The FDA lists these medications as being narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Can you please post back with more information, so I can try to help you? Thanks!

I just had a bunionectomy today and the doctor have me oxycodone - acetaminophen 5-325 and meloxicam for pain and inflammation. I have already been taking the trazadone 100mg for sleep at night. In the mornings I take effexor for depression and topiramate for migraines. Please let me knowif ii can take the pain mes with the trazadone ## Hello, Based on my research there are potentially unsafe drug interactions listed between Oxycodone and Trazodone; as well as Effexor (venlafaxine) and Trazodone. Apparently, taking either of these drug combinations together can increase your risk of developing serious symptoms associated with serotonin syndrome. Due to the severe nature of serotonin syndrome, it sounds like your best bet would be to sit down with your doctor and talk about these concern...

Also can ANYONE tell me if they have any issues filling Oxycontin 40mg? Or actually any milligram please, I'm wanting to switch from the GARBAGE 100mg MS Contin ER to the Oxycontin since Publix SAYS they distributer does not carry the oxymorphone 30mg ER witch I find so hard to believe!!!!
