Oxycodin 10 325

My doctor has switched me from Percocet 5/325 X2 Every four hours to oxycodine 10mgs but Sometimes they make me feel really sick and sleepy. I can be nauseated and sleeping at work. Can I break these in half ? ## No, this is a regular release formulation, so yes, you can cut or break them, as long as your doctor approves. The difference is in the amount of Oxycodone in each tablet, one has 5mgs and the other 7.5mgs, but they both contain 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic pain reliever. They are just manufactured by different pharmaceutical companies. The imprints are different, because under federal law in the U.S. they have to able to identify the ingredients and the manufacturer, in case of emergency. There is nothing that obligates any drug store to carry any given medication in any certain dosage. Additionally, doses with more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen in them are getting very hard to come by and will not be available, at all, anywhere in a few months. The FDA has requested that all manufacturers lower the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination prescription products to no more than 325mgs per dose, due to the risk of liver damage and failure that may occur with the long-term use of high amounts, as well as the toxicity of accidental overdose. has tylenol been taken out of lortab 10/500 ## It hasn't been taken out, but reduced because of the effects on the liver. ## FDA now requires all prescription meds to have no more than 325 mg of tylenol in each dose. There is a form of Hydrocodone that does not contain tylenol. It is an Extended Release, it is Zohydro. ## Lortab 10/500 contains 10 mg of hydrocodone and 500mgs. of acetaminifen (Tylenol) if ya need something strong go on up to percocet (Oxycodine) and come in strengths from 5 MG's of oxy all the way up to 80 MG's. of oxy per pill
