Hello. I take Norco 10/325 TID with MS Contin 20mg er BID for chronic back pain, sciatica, degenerative disease. I never get drowsy and feel it does the job because I notice no pain. I recently tried oxycodone with the letter M on one side & 05/52 on the other which I think is 5mg. Which one is stronger? The oxy i tried or the MS Contin that I've been on? ## 20mg Ms is two times Stronger than a 5mg oxy for sure . ## I noticed that the original poster had a couple typos when referring to Oxycodone and putting the pill imprint for their Morphine directly afterwards, causing some confusion. They also put Norco 10/325 (Hydrocodone/apap) in the underlying description, so I don't know which of the two drugs they are referring to... According to patient commentary in a related thre...

Just wondering how the 2 drugs differ ## "Imm Rel" stands for immediate release - so Oxycodone immediate release is for fast treatment of breakthrough pain. There are other variations as well. There is normal release Oxycodone, and also controlled release Oxycodone. Those will take longer to be absorbed by the body. Hope this helps. Do you have any other questions or information to add? Please post back if you do... ## Thanks a lot, you answer my question

what brand oxycode 10 mg is most bioavailable? have been on KVK brand for severe arthritis and post joint replacement surgery. Pharmacy just switchted to pink pills with 12 on one side and np on other side. These pills do not provide nearly the same level of pain relief. I previously used KVK brand for breakthrough pain. Are the binders on current brand 12/NP that interfere with effectiveness? can these binders cause harm? what form of this med or similar opiod is most bioavailable?

I'm taking oxycodene for pain "percaset" lower back surgery friend of mine told me to take this cause sometimes i have a hard time staying asleep he gave me the pliva 441 is this ok to use ??? ## No, it is never safe to take any medication that hasn't been specifically prescribed for you. This tablet contains 150mgs of Trazodone, which is a tetracyclic antidepressant and they can cause some pretty serious side effects, such as suicidal ideation, chest pain, fainting and priapism. Learn more Trazodone details here. It should only be taken with your doctors approval and supervision. Additionally, with the Percocet, it creates added risks, because of the way they both work. Does this raise my blood sugar? I just ended Oxycodene and started Hydrocodone. My sugars are running extremely high over 400. Is this med causing this? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? No, it doesn't usually have an effect on blood sugar levels, except for occasionally masking the symptoms of low blood sugar, as reported by the FDA. Its typical side effects usually include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. It also carries the risk of being habit forming. Are you on any other medications? Has anything changed in your diet recently?

I have been on oxycodone 10 mg 4 times a day for few yrs due to back surgery and no relief and now my dr changed oxycode same dosage to 3 times a day and added morphine 15 mg sulfate tabs 4 times a day. My question is.... Is it safe to take both and that many a day since i have never been on morphine before? Seems like a lot of meds but it has helped me dramatically with pain i just dont want to overdose since i dont know as said much about morphine ## Morphine is also a narcotic opiate that has been in use for many years to alleviate pain, as a matter of fact, it actually used to be the go to medication during war times for injured soldiers. Later, is was replaced by more potent ones that provided faster relief and comfort. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming ...

I was just prescribed 15mg of Meloxicam to start taking. I had been taking 600-800mg of Ibuprofen & was told it was safer, along with a low dose of oxycodeine which I'm really trying to do without. I'm recovering from a shoulder replacement & also have arthritis in other shoulder. I'm very much the nervous type when it comes to drugs. How often should I request blood work? ## There is no set schedule, but if you're taking it regularly, most doctors will check your liver levels every 3 to 4 months to be careful. The typical side effects of Meloxicam, as reported by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello, I live in Australia and wondered if anyone could suggest an alternative to Targin 10/5 mg twice a day, morn & night. I have been taking this for nearly two years. I have a really severe reaction to it, the worst being the itching at night which often prevents me from sleeping at all. I believe it is the codeine in the drug that cause this as the same reaction occurred in the past when taking oxycodeine. I have tried Norspan patches but they are very hard to keep on in our climate as it is so hot in Perth, also they wear off after the second day and don't work anymore on me unfortunately. I have told my doctor about this on more than one occasion and as the reaction is 'itching' he dismisses it and says to put up with it. I use it because I have Anyklosing Spondaly...

op on one side 10 on the other just like an oxy 10 but fatter ## This is a 10mg tablet of the new Oxycontin OP, it has replaced the regular product and has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse. It still contains the active ingredient Oxycodone and the side effect profile is also still said to be the same: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Do you have any questions? ## How many mg of Acetaminopen are in OxyContin 10mg round white tablets (labelled Oxycodeone hydrochloride controlled-release) tablets by Purdue Pharma? ## There is no acetaminophen in Oxycontin. The only active ingredient is time released form of oxycodone. You might be thinking of percocet which does contain acetaminophen aka Tylenol (355 or 500 mgs) with immediate release oxycodone.
