Oxy With 223 On One Side Manufacture

I am prescribed 5 mug of oxycodone. On the bottle is shows round white 48/10 but the pill inside is round white, bigger and just has the # 223. It doesn't seem to work on my pain is this a different type of Oxy? ## Both should be 5 mg oxycodone. Both generic and both manufacture by a different company. ## @Corinne, I do think it's strange that a pharmacy would give you two different manufacturer's products in the same bottle as another. However, despite being the same medication, they are still composed of different binders and fillers which directly affect bioavailability and overall drug efficacy. So one may still work better or worse just because of "alleged" inactive ingredients, which in my opinion aren't necessarily inactive at all if they affect absorption...

Is this meds stronger then perks ?the generic kind? ## Hi yvette, The pill you're describing marked "223" reportedly contains 5mgs of Oxycodone hydrochloride. But by comparison, Percocet is known to come in dosages containing up to 10mg of Oxycodone hydrochloride + 325mg of Acetaminophen. And even though some manufacturers tend to vary by strength, I would say that it all depends on what dosage of Percocet you get, since it is available in 2.5mg/325mg dosages as well. I'm not seeing any exact matches that fit your description, but came close finding a round white pill with "224" on one side and scored "once" on the other - which is reported to be 30mg Oxycodone HCL tablet, manufactured by Sun Pharma. This manufacturer also makes a 5mg Oxycodone HCL tablet with "223" on one side and scored on the other. However these are the only two pills I've seen that come even remotely close. Did this manufacturer raise the price of this medicine in the last 4 weeks? I am not insured. I have been on this med long term. For the last 2 yrs I paid 96.?? for 180 pills, about 3 mos. ago the price went down to 81.?? I just went to get them today and the price was 223.24 for 180 pills the same amount I have always gotten. Use your brain, instead of your Ba@@s! ## Roxicodone can look different depending on who has manufactured it, especially since they are available as generics. If you can post back with the markings from the tablet in question, I will gladly look it up for you and see what it contains.
