I was on suboxone for 2 years. Had surgery on my foot and was prescribed oxycodone. After that ran out I took methadone until I could get to a new suboxone dr. She saw that I had methadone in my system and wouldnt give me the suboxone. I ended up with a drug overdose and was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. After 7 days they gave me Vivitrol, with sent me into severe withdrawals. They want me to get a Vivitrol shot in 5 days, however I think it will be too soon. Any thoughts?

Oxymorphone Drug Index

Oxymorphone (sold under the brand names Numorphan and Opana among others) is a highly potent opioid analgesic indicated for treatment of severe pain. Pain relief after injection begins after about 5–10 minutes, after oral administration it begins after about 30 minutes, and lasts about 3–4 hours for immediate-release tablets and 12 hours for extended-release tablets.[4] The elimination half-life of oxymorphone is much faster intravenously, and as such, the drug is ...

I was involved in a car accient last year and am now working with a Pain Manage clinic. I have had injections upon injections, epiderals, blah blah and now they belive it is a tear in my disc between L4 and L5. Needless to say VERY painful. The most recent visit has placed me on Oxy AGAIN. I acutally took myself off them a few months ago because the pain was not getting ANY less... actually the same if not worse regardless of how many or mg increase. At 20 mg 2 X day I said I am done and started to only take 1 them none. That was miserable... Switched Doctors.. told him all of this and what does he do .. BACK ON THE OXY.. I have found that Percocet 7.5/325 2 pills 3 X day work the best AND it I don't have bad pain I don't HAVE to take it. I am so frustrated and I have called the...

As a brief background - I have very advanced Degenerative Disc Disease, along with bad arthritis/spurs/nerve damage - all in my neck. 5 of the 7 discs are in terrible shape - I've been told by several doctors that it is very advanced for my age (34). I've been through a great deal of pain management including massage therapy, physical therapy, chiropractors, injections and procedures on my neck. Not a whole lot has helped and I'm trying to avoid surgery. For approximately 12 months the pain was managed by my pain management doctor on short acting oxycodone (30mg 3 times per day). Wasn't the best schedule, especially long term, to manage the pain. So I made the decision to get off that dose schedule by switching to suboxone. Exactly 1 month ago I switched to suboxone, tak...

How well does methadone work for chronic pain management? I went from 10 mg oxycodone then dropped down to 7.5 mg hydrocodone and my pain is totally out of control. I have no relief. I am out of options except methadone or Suboxone. Please help. ## I was taking 10 mg oxycodone 4 times a day. I was forced to go to PM for my pain and got prescribed 7.5 hydrocodone 3 times a day, had to agree to mbnb injections if I wanted my meds. All I need is my pain controlled to get some quality of life back so I'm thinking maybe I should try methadone if it would help me. I need an honest answer. ## I had back surgery (Removal of discs with fusions L4 thru S1), caught MRSA and had another 3 surgeries after that to clean my back out of infection, he nicked my spinal cord and I leaked out fluid, an...

is there injection form of this pill and what would happen if you did inject it? ## Hello, Fancy! How are you? There is a liquid that is formulated for such use. It isn't safe to do that with pills, since they contain fillers and excipients that may cause blockages. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I started using Cvs. this past year since it's a preferred pharmacy through my insurance. At some point they said they could no longer fill my script for oxycodone; no explanation offered. I've been taking oxycodone at the same dose for four years after exhausting every means-physical therapy, trigger point injections, outpatient procedures, homeopathy, meditation, prayer (I still pray & meditate daily.) When I mentioned this to my pain management dr, he told me that in.2014, a huge quantity of. Narcotics went missing from CVS & has never been accounted for. This occurred both the New Castle Pa CVS as well as one in Florida. Again, because this community is plagued with drug addicts and criminals, those of us with legitimate health problems are paying the price.

Looking for a doctor in Delaware/PA for pain management of severe migraine headaches who will prescribe oxycodone liquid. Have been to migraine clinics all over the country and tried Fentyl patch, Botox injections, triptan medications, morphine, diladid, with no relief for chronic dibiltating migraines. ## Has your doctor done any checking to see what's causing your migraines? The reason I'm asking is because Fentanyl is the strongest opiate available, so if it didn't help, it is unlikely that Oxycodone will help, regardless of the form its in. The FDA warns that opiate medications carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. I've taken gabapentin, norco, and then oxycodone. I was taken off the oxycodone recently because I was talking the max six pills a day and my pain was still unbearable. I have five bulging disc and a pinched nerve in my back. I have spinal stenosis. This has caused pain throughout my left side down to my feet. I'm also a diabetic with nerve damage. I'm scared to do multiple rounds of injections in my back. Is there anything I can take to help me at least get some rest. I had to quit my job because I can't sit or stand and the pain is too much ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? There are many other medications to choose from, including Oxycodone in higher doses, without the Acetaminophen. I suffer from severe pain in my back and arms and hands. I care for my husband who is dependent upon me to do everything for him. Going through a carousel ride from hell. I've gone to quacks who just want to give injections. ## There is no way of knowing if a Pain Management Dr will prescribe you pain meds without going to them. You may want to read some of the reviews of the pain drs at Healthgrade and Vitals, But, remember these reviews aren't verified. You will need a copy of your medical records from your previous drs. If you're taking high doses of pain meds, it is doubtful that you will be able to find a dr that will treat your pain. As terrible as this sounds, if your husband is unable to do anything for himself, he really need to be in a nursing home or you need to h...

I'm looking for a doctor who will prescribe oxycodone 30mg in or near tempe / phoenix, (Arizona). I'm willing to get an MRI and take UI if necessary. Would like to avoid injections. Please let me know. Thanks for your time. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ## You are willing to get an MRI? Ha lol, you need to rephrase that. Go get a damn MRI, actually get 2 of them simonmed and then one from another Imaging facility so you can have one with contrast as well as other medical records because you are not going to get s*** to relieve your pain, not even Tylenol with codeine, maybe or baclofen if you're lucky you might get ibuprofen 800 milligrams but anything else, good luck there pal. Go get all your all of your Imaging work done then come back to this forum and say you h...

I am a 34 year old female that has osteoporosis / bone disc degeneration disease, also hereditary problems. I've got 3 bulging discs, a pinched nerve and a few other things going on with my back and neck. I've tried everything from physical therapy to injections and no real relief. My doctor refused to give me any more of the pain meds he'd had me on unless I agreed to back surgery and at this time I don't want to do that and I feel he was only after insurance money. I am in the process of moving from Virginia to the sewell New Jersey area. I have been dealing with pain management for the last 4 years. I have been on oxycodone hcl 10s the whole time. I am looking for a doctor near the area who will continue my treatment using the pills. I do not like injections. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area that might help?
