Oxy No Imprint

I have a oxy 8- that is round with no imprints on either side. It came in a blister pack professionally labeled and says it was made by Purdue Phamaceuticals and distributed by Rhodes pharmaceuticals. Can ou p;ease tell me what I have ## I came across the same thing today. Where are you from? I think they might be fake I can't find anything about them the NDC number even says they are oxy 30 but there supposed to be 80s. Am from Albuquerque,NM ## Hello, Shannon! How are you? Where were they obtained? All U.S. approved prescription tablets would have markings on them to enable their identification, in case of emergency, that is required by law. If they are from a foreign source, it may be difficult to positively identify them.

I was given a plain yellow round pill that was supposed to be a new oxycodone 15 that can't be abused but it has no imprint codes or markings at all. Is this what it is? ## Hello, Cj! How are you? No, that is most likely something available over the counter, though there could be a small chance that is some type of foreign medication. Under current FDA law, all prescription tablets must have unique imprints to enable their identification, in case of emergency. The only exception would be for medications specially ordered by a doctor and done by a compounding pharmacy, which would be in capsules. The ones that are available from Purdue that have the abuse deterrent feature all have markings, they use OP on them and then the number of the dosage on the opposite side and the 15mg table...

My doctor prescribed me 5mg endone and 20mg oxycontin on rare occasions when I knew I was going to need them. This was after months of physio, MRIs, and alternative meds. He recently retired, so I went to see his replacement. He spent about 30 seconds looking at my past scripts and said "you're clearly a drug addict, I'm not prescribing any of these," and kicked me out of the practice. I take oxycodone 15mg for my back and recently got a refill. I had never seen these before. They are imprinted with E7 & the E is funny looking. I took one & it did absolutely nothing to relieve the pain. Are these pills real? Now I'm scared cause I don't want to have pain but safety is my main concern. I found a small, like lite blue or grayish color, with the imprint N F on one side and the number 14 on the other side. It is believed to me 20 mg oxycodone, but I can't find anything on the internet about them to circumvention. If you have chronic pain you have to have a pain reliever. There is no imprint on in side and only a v in the other side. Is this an oxycotin 40? ## Hi kelly, What type of "V" would you describe it as? Is it cursive like the one from Vintage Pharmaceuticals? If so, their tablets are recognized for having an additional set of numbers on the pill as well; deeming this as a possible counterfeit. And please correct me if I'm wrong but judging from your description, one has to assume that it wasn't obtained from a legitimately licensed pharmacy. In such cases there are no guarantees that what you received is real, unless you were to have its contents analyzed by a lab.
