I am so uncomfortable and have had oxycodone before but was curious if that is normal for severe nerve pain or if the have other options. Just want to be comfortable until surgery ## Oxycodone is commonly the preferred option for severe pain, because it is known to very effective and it can be used in some fairly high dosages. Hi, I have severe Nerve pain caused by Pudendal Neuralgia. I won't take Endone because of the constipation it causes which makes the Nerve pain worse. I have just been given Targin as we are running out oh options. I also take Tegretol and Lyrica at the highest doses and they do nothing! ## Hello, Sheila! How are you? Targin is listed as containing Oxycodone and Naloxone, so you may experience better results with it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you tried it, yet? ## Hi all. Please advise how many times you can have hernia repairs done? Previously I had nine repairs recently, I had it done and a mesh was put in...

After very careful consideration and research, I made the decision with my dentist to have a total dental extraction on June 5 2013 and have 4 surgical steel implants inserted in the top into my mandible and 4 inserted into my jaw and temporary dentures screwed into until the healing was done and then go through 5 session of having the temporary dentures removed, molds of the "perfect" dentures made and finally permanent dentures inserted. On June 9th, 2013 I got the sinus infection from hell. I called the dentist and he prescribed an antibiotic. At the time of the extraction he prescribed oxycodo-apap 10-325 tab (mallinckro) a generic for Percocet 10-325 tab. I actually have had very little pain in the area of the extraction (the gums) and from the implants or dentures. The pai...

Cymbalta was prescribed to help nerve pain as a result of a cut nerve during surgery. I have been on it for 6-7 weeks and have little relief. My oncologist wants be to go off of it so I've been taking one every other day. I'm having bad pains now. Is this from weaning off.? ## Hello, Ali! Sorry about the pain that you're in. Yes, it may be a rebound effect from tapering them, some medications can do that. Why does he want you to discontinue it? What are you taking to treat the pain now? ## I've been on gabapentin for over two years, oxicodone 10, and In chemo with Doxil. Bad reaction same time starting Cymbalta and doxil. Doctor wanted me off cymb. to see which one was causing side effects.

I've had steroid inj's. with good results till now. Usually with bed rest I'm better in a few day but with this disk the pain had been so intense and the numbness on my foot is getting worse. Usually Aleve helps but now even the Tylenol 4 doesn't help and spasms on my leg have gotten worse. I don't want more surgery, 6 is enough. What else besides inj's. will help so that I can function again and continue taking care of my great grandson? ## There are quite a few other medication options, such as Morphine, Oxycontin, Norco, Opana, and Dialudid. Have you tried any of these, yet? The FDA warns that they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. For various reasons I suffer severe pain related to: Spinal Stenosis, herniated disc in cervical spine, previous broken tailbone. I have previously tried, Oxycontin, Hydrocodone, but now am on Fentanyl patch along with Neurontin. These only control about 50% of pain and have often "breakthrough" pain that is nearly unbearable. A friend recommended Methodone to add to these meds. Can anyone tell me if it would help? Also, would it be risky as far as overdosing? I have a really high tolorance to opiates. ## In most cases, Methadone wouldn't be advised, because it is very addictive and habit forming. In most cases for breakthrough pain, an instant release medication would be used, such as Oxy IR, which is available as a generic, or MS IR, which is an instant release morphine th...

Needing Help! I have to find a new physician. I am in the Kokomo, IN area. I was on Neurontin and Percocet which took care of the neuropathy in my feet. I am diabetic, which has resulted in nerve damage. The pain in my feet rotates from a burning feeling -- much like I've stuck my feet on a frying pan then it goes into a stinging feeling, like a fly swatter slapping my feet over and over and over. This goes on 24/7. I'm not expecting Oxycontin or Morphine. But I at least need my Percocet and Neurontin. It takes BOTH of them to work. They don't totally kill the pain, but they definitely helped to ease it up. If anyone knows of a family doctor or general practitioner, etc. who would possibly prescribe these, please let me know. I feel uncomfortable posting this, but I don'...

Use RALIVIA to easy withdrawl from these nasty pills. 100-200mg daily RALIVIA. Use 2 PERKS with it to help ease recovery. ## If you are addicted to OXYCOTIN here is what you do. Ask your docter to change to RALIVIA pain killer but also get some PERKASETS prescribed. Take your RALIVIA pain killer in place of the OXYCOTTIN pill. If you take 40mg OXYCOTTIN you need 100mg RALIVIA. They have a 24hr lasting pain killing effect. They also will stop withdrawl symptoms you get from getting away from OXYCOTTIN. The reason you get PERKASETS is your body will ask for a PILL that you know has OPIATES in it. While your nerve endings are being desensitized by RALIVIA, the same ones that send the pain signal to your brain, the PERKASET will give you a chance to get some OPIATES into you that will ease ...

I was taking (1) 5 mg of oxycodone a day for 10 months for countless surgeries. When I tried to stop taking the 1 pill a day I would go through extreme pain muscel and nerve pain that felt like my body was on fire and would not allow me to sleep. Even with trying sleep aids like Tylenol pm and Benadryl. I went to the doctor to see if he could prescribe something to help me sleep through the night. He put me on (2) 8 mg a day of suboxone. I only took the (1) 5 mg pill at night. I took my first 8 mg strip 24 hours after my last oxy on Tuesday night. About an hour after that I began projectile vomiting, felt drunk, horrible headache, server itching that kept me up all night. I called the doctor who gave me anti nausea med and have still been vomiting everything up since it is now 48 hour l...
