what is a safe dose for a man who wieghs 180lbs? My husband bought some colodopine on the street and now hes sleeping and i cant wake him up. He will half open his eyes for a couple seconds then he goes right back to sleep. ## its not always weight either Tolerance has a bit to do with it. What mg did he take & how many? If you cant wake him up he may be really knocked out, Or he may have OD'd or he is ODing.. Is he grey? A friend was oding on methadone once & he was GREY, sleeping WAY to soundly. I had to call 911 ## Yes, it is really difficult to say, since weight isn't the only factor, it also depends on someone's tolerance and sensitivity to the medication. What was the outcome of this? For future reference, any time you are worried about the health status of a l...

What is the active ingredient of this tablet? How many of zolfresh 10mg are considered a normal dose? ## Hi Navi, I'd sure like to hope that you're not "that person" overdosing on Zolfresh. Based on my research, 10 mgs daily of the immediate release formula is the maximum recommended dose of Zolfresh (Zolpidem). There's really no good reason for a person to take anything over that; especially 50x that!! According to a drug monograph on wikipedia, an overdose of Zolpidem may lead to too much sedation as well as impaired respiratory function. Either of these could potentially develop into a coma, & in some cases death. Something very important to remember or even take note of, is that Zolpidem overdosage can be remedied with what's called a benzodiazepine recep...

Tablet Zolefresh 20 mg. Prescription by doctor for sound sleep is good for health ,at the age of 60 years since four months . that I have no sleep without this pills , if occasionally missed the pill I have not sleep and get acidic for next morning please advice ## You should follow your doctor's instructions for taking the medication, because not sleeping, at all, is very detrimental to your health and far more risk than taking the medication. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, sleep actions, hallucinations, and next day hangover-like effects. Are you on any other medications?

My friend just administered five 30 mg adipex....first they did one and didn't feel it...then another, then another, still not what they thought it'd be...so they took 2 at one time and shortly after was ready for bed....then they had 2 more because they thought it didn't give the desired results....very rapid heart beat...sweating....trouble getting a deep breath.....vomiting...hurt all over... So that's 210 mg of adipex 30mg each.....after vomiting and trying to calm them down..they are now sleeping....I'm afraid to go to sleep because I'm afraid they may stop breathing. ## Yes, you do have good reason to be concerned. The FDA classifies Adipex as a stimulant, so along with the risk of being habit forming, an overdose could cause some potentially dangerous effe...

Can someone please help me out... I'm 20 years old, also married with a 2 year old. I've been trying to get my 42 year old dad to stop his drug habit. Since I have been little he has been doing drugs...first pain pills...then 250 mg of methadone but going to the clinic & getting take homes also... Of course..... (he abused the methadone)...since then.... its been what ever he can get his hands on. I have a 2 year old and my 42 year old father still lives with my grandmother. He has overdosed OVER 3 times in the past 5 months. The last time he overdosed he died on my grandmothers floor. He "slept" over 10 hour's. My grandmother thought he was just sleeping it off like he normally did..... but then she notice he wasn't breathing right and she then calls 911 for...

Statistics point out that opioid overdose related deaths are significantly lower in states that have medical marijuana programs in place. As a short or long term chronic pain patient, what are your views on this topic? Do you think marijuana (CBD's included) has effectively secured its spot as a means of adjunctive pain management where the excessive use of opiates outweighs potential benefits? ## So says my Doctor. Others say it helps to get off opiates. ## David, Absolutely! Before I started on a daily Rx for pain I used to consume marijuana a lot. I never had any problems sleeping or with depression, worked 75 hours every other week (Sat. 7am - Sun 7pm was 1 job, and I could sleep) and went to College Full Time. Then I had to take Rx's here and there, and then came the drug p...

How many restyl sleeping pills can put a person to death?‎ ## Restyl contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, a Benzodiazepine, commonly used to treat anxiety, nervous disorders and insomnia. It is very difficult, actually, to have fatal overdose on this class of medication. To get even close you would have to take over 200 times the normal dosage and such overdosages are easily treated by almost any hospital. In most cases, when someone tries to deliberately overdose on this medication, they end up getting sick and then passing out, before they ever hit a lethal dose. They just wake up later feeling very miserable. Are there any questions or comments?

my friend is having this trika 0.25 mg tablets with her and she previously used sleeping pills to kill her self and now she is blackmailing us, by holding the trika pills with her ## Trika contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, which is a Benzodiazepine, used to treat anxiety, nervous disorders and insomnia. If she only takes one, there ill be no serious effects, the problem arises, however, if she takes a lot of them at once, because that can result in overdose. And I don't want to seem callous or rude, but by using them for blackmail, she seems to be attention seeking and rather than let her continue to blackmail people, you need to get someone with authority involved that can get her the help she needs. Are there any other questions or comments? ## I am suffering from great i...

is "clonazepam ip 0.25mg" tablet works as sleeping pill? what actually it is? what are the effects after overdose? what is the dangerous limit of dosage of clonazepam on human being? what actually it works? is overdose causes death? if yes then what dose cause death? ## Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine that is most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It can cause drowsiness and sedation, so it is sometimes used to treat sleep issues in people who haven't responded to other alternative options. This medication may also be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Learn more Clonazepam details here. Medication usually do not work on me - not even morphine when I was in pain at the hospital. Sleeping pills do not affect me. However xanax worked a little but that was a relief as I have insomnia. I took 3 last night or maybe the night before - I don't know. All I know is I work up at 7:00 p.m the next day or the next day. I guess it worked but it scared me. What happene? I am on 1mg and just have taken it for 6 mos. ## Well, I think you are already aware of what happened, you took too many! Xanax is a very potent Benzodiazepine. You've been taking 1mg and suddenly jumped to 3mgs, so yes, I'd say it worked for you, a little too well. You can become addicted to these or overdose, so you really do need to be careful. I suggest speaking to your doctor regarding some other opti...

Is excessive sleeping a withdrawal from norco 750? If someone took them for two weeks, then took 8 in one day? ## Hello, Lucy! How are you? No, that is most likely due to an overdose. That is far too many to take in one day. Especially if they are the old ones that contained that much Acetaminophen, taking 8 of them could result in a toxic overdose and this person needs to seek medical attention. Any amounts of Acetaminophen over 3,000 mgs a day can be toxic and very dangerous, it could cause fatal liver failure. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How is the person in question doing?

Idk what to do. He has issues, so things easily get out of hand.. But will he just passout and sleep it off? Hes sleeping now but he said he could go into a coma. Idk if he just said it to say it or he meant it. Just worried and wouls like some help ## You need to call 911. Diludid (sp?) is the strongest pain med. I've ever had--that causes you to feel like Mario in the clouds video game when it first hits. He overdosed & could die. ## Actually one of the first warnings/precautions listed on the Dilaudid drug monograph clearly states NOT to have it with alcohol, for it can increase the risk of dangerous side effects; including overdose-related symptoms (such as going into a coma). Ref: nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/002633.htm In such cases it best to seek emergency medica...

My mom took 3 norco without letting me know. I monitor her meds and give her one every 4 hours if needed. But she informed me that she took 3 of them without my knowledge and was scared what they might do. She is sleeping but very restless. ## Hello, Beverly! How is she doing? Yes, that might be too much for her. Did she suffer any adverse effects? That could result in overdose, if she's not opiate tolerant. Signs of overdose may include nausea, severe dizziness, extreme drowsiness and shallow breathing. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Really wanted to know if I can take advil pm.for my head ach and help sleeping, but im on 8mg sub.a day and 10mg flexeril??? ## From what I've read, apparently there are dangerous drug interactions listed between the Buprenorphine in Suboxone and the Cyclobenzaprine in Flexeril. I'm not sure if you were already aware of this, but the interaction states that using these two central nervous system (CNS) depressants together may increase your risk of a Buprenorphine overdose, life-threatening respiratory depression, coma, and even death. Having said that, extreme caution on proper dosing should be advised by your doctor if he/she hasn't already mentioned this to you. Regarding Advil PM, the diphenhydramine in this medication also interacts with the Buprenorphine in Suboxone. Not...
