There are some medications or potent nutritional supplements that can be prescribed to help, according to the NIH. However, it may also just be r...

found round peach pill with 25 on one side, other side blank, it's about 0.5 cm diameter- could this be an OTC pill? ## Hello, Stacey! How are you? Actually there is a 25mg Quetiapine tablet manufactured by Accord Healthcare that matches this description. The FDA lists this medication as being used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and depression. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight gain. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was wondering if I can safely take CB1 along with prescription drugs? ## Can I take CB 1 pills even I'm taking a Blood Pressure medicine like Losartan ? ## Since it is an over the counter supplement that is not FDA approved, there have not been any studies done regarding its safety when combined with prescription medications. The main issue here is do you really need to gain weight? As in, are you underweight, right now? Since you mentioned Losartan and high blood pressure, it is very important that you know it is not safe to gain excess weight, when you have such a cardiac condition, because extra weight is very taxing on your heart and circulatory system, so it could worsen such a condition, and cause new ones to occur. The American Heart Association has some great information a...

Do you have these and how much are they ## Hello, Pat! How are you? I'm sorry, but this site does not manufacture, nor sell any products or medications. It is an information only resource. As listed by the FDA, Ectoplan is just an over the counter supplement, so it's not actually proven to do anything. I was glancing at online reviews and the results seem to be mixed. Is there anything else I can help with?

Could you please proscribe pills that I could take to help me gain weight because I have tried and failed. ## Hi Linzy! I don't know about any pills. However, I've known people who have used this stuff called, Weight Gain. U can buy it at a health food store. Over the counter. It's suppose 2 work well. U make a shake out of it. ## Hi Linzy! I tried 2 reply 2 u, but, it needs 2 b reviewed. R people saying things 2 u about your weight? They r just jealous of u. I've always been tiny, and, people would make comments 2 me. I got over it, and, realized they were jealous. But, I did recommend something 4 u. Hope it goes through.

Hi, I found that a drug called seroquil ....even though it its a antipsychotic drug, many addictionologists will prescribe it for sleep and it actually works...for me anyway. AND for me it will give me the endless "munchies." My problem is taking it at night for sleep and I have a condition known as GERD that is a problem of food that backs up into the esophagus and causes me to inhale my food into my lungs. For seroquil, they even list on the side effects that it will cause weight gain. Though I have heard from a VERY VERY few that for some it causes them to lose weight. If you do not want to go that route, there are over the counter natural herbal supplements you can try such as Melatonin,Valerian Root(you may find that it has an unpleasant odor but once you take it, it goes aw...

Hi i'm 17 years old and my period is so heavy and nothing helps. I was on birth control but I stopped. Is there any over the counter pills to help my heavy period? ## Hello, Muna143! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having. Unfortunately no, there is nothing available over the counter that will help. Why did you stop the birth control? That's usually the treatment of choice for such a situation. It helps rebalance the hormones, so your periods are lighter, or you may not have any, at all. The FDA lists the typical side effects of oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight gain and PMS-like symptoms.

I have a weight problum i have gain 20 pound in the past few weeks and i am haveing problum in finding the right medication to help me to loose it. ## @Gharles Watley, Sorry to hear about your weight problem. Have you considered changing any other aspects of your diet or exercise habits before adopting a new medication regimen? In most cases, a moderate exercise routine (4-5 days a week) alongside healthy eating habits can get the job done in and of itself. I don't know what your lifestyle is like, but stress can also have a lot to do with sudden weight gain. Regarding a medication, I'd recommend doing some research on South African Hoodia; a powerful OTC dietary supplement for suppressing your appetite. In the past I've also had experience using OxyElite Pro, which in my op...

I take 600 mg. of gabapentin (3) times a day for nerve pain. For me it has been a miracle drug. I do have difficulty if not almost impossible losing weight and have even gained some. It has been worth the trade off to be able to feel better. Does anyone know how to counteract this? ## Hi Agnes, Sorry to hear about your challenges with Gabapentin. According to the National Library of Medicine, rapid weight gain happens to be a general side effect of this medication. I'm not a doctor, but coming from someone with an athletic background, the best advice I can offer for counteracting it would probably be to follow a strict diet and exercise program. Something that you can commit to as long as you're taking the medication. I would also recommend drinking plenty of water (making that ...

Hi, I am very slim. 5'2 and no more than 95lbs and that's pushing it!! I have no appetite and a very fast metabolism!! I cannot afford to buy any weight supplement over the counter. I don't have a doctor as of yet either as almost no doctor will accept patients who are on Oregon Health Plan!! Anyway, I am trying to find out if CB1 can be prescribed by a Physician or only available OTC? Also I need to know what prescription weight gainer pills are out there so I can research them for when I find a Doctor very soon. Thank you ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? There aren't any prescription weight gain medications, so to speak, there are some that may cause weight gain as a side effect, but they only do that as long as you're taking them and yes, the CB1 requires a prescript...

Is there any medication to counteract weight gain on amitriptyline. ## In my opinion choosing another medication to counteract another medication is not a good idea, due to the increase risk of side effects from each medication and possible contraindications between one another. I believe the most logical option for your health and weight loss is to do it with proper exercise and diet on a daily basis. Combining lots of fruits and vegetables with clean protein sources will help you loss any weight you may have gained in a timely fashion. Even if that isn't an affordable option, the fruits and veggies alone will do you plenty of justice in the weight loss category. Feel free to post back if you have any questions about this.

I was on Omnicef almost 2 and half months ago now for a severe upper respitory infection, they gave me a antibiotic shot then 2 weeks of omnicef. I didn't realize I was having a reaction to it when my ankles, legs, hands, feet started swelling, I finished the whole 2 weeks of it. Thought it was maybe because I was so sick and inactivity. I started gaining weight and my ankles feet, legs, belly hands have continued to swell, I have continued to have loose stools and gain more weight, even though I am the healthiest eater out there. They tried a steroid shot to counteract this, does anyone know if there is anything else out there to stop this? I am very scared is this permanent? ## Hello, Carol! How are you doing? I have seemed to gain weight over the last few months in my belly area. I take estra noreth but would like to take, along with it, the new Estroven Weight Management to possibly help with the weight. Is this possible? I also have RA but have been in remission for over 5 years. Any help would be appreciated. ## Hi, Valerie! How are you? Unfortunately, over the counter products, such as Estroven Weight Management aren't evaluated for safety with prescription drugs. Additionally, on the information page on their website, the manufacturers don't even list all of the exact ingredients, they list some as just being a proprietary blend. However, some weight gain around the belly/hips area can be normal if you're going through perimenopause/menopause and it's usually due to your...
