I purchase Topzole p40 . Is there a generic which I can purchase over the counter, " pharmacy " everytime I need to get a prescription ? ## TopZole contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a "prescription-only" medication here in the US; used to treat erosive esophagitis and other conditions involving excess stomach acid. A family member of mine takes Prilosec (Omeprazole) - which is regarded as an over the counter alternative for these same types of conditions. I'd imagine though, that it may or may not be quite as efficient compared to its prescription counterpart, but certainly worth a try if you need something for excess stomach acid. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Omeprazole Details I hope this helps!

this pill i found is yellow, oval.says p on 1 side an 40 on the other,my friend thinks it is a generic oxycontin ## Hello, Kevin! How are you? No, your friend has the imprint correct, but not the shape, that tablet is round. I think what you've found is a delayed release 40mg Pantoprazole tablet, which is a proton pump inhibitor that's used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat or prevent conditions such as GERD, heartburn, ulcers and gastritis. Can anyone confirm this?

Does not look like pill I received at Hospital ## How long after 1 year will the 93 12 pill still be good to use, or should it be discarded. ## The manufacturer Teva Pharmaceuticals lists this tablet as containing 40mgs of Pantroprazole, which is used to help reduce the amount of acid your stomach products to help treat, or prevent conditions, such as GERD, heartburn, ulcers and gastritis. I have some pills they are football shaped and are light beige they say 40 in black on one side but have no other markings. What are they please? ## I'm sorry, but I can't find a listing in any of our resources for a pill that meets this description and has just the number 40 on it. Where was it found/obtained? However, there is also a small chance that it might be a foreign medication. Does anyone recognize this tablet? ## i have them too, but they are supposed to be my refill of Protonix.
